A great spot for skewers that opens late! I highly recommend the sausage and lamb skewers. They're both juicy and very sizable. Both the clams and enoki mushrooms in foil come with a delicious umami broth. They give you lids for plates which fits the street food vibes. Prices are very reasonable!

I had a great experience here. All the skewers I got were so good. The seasoning was perfect and not too spicy (upon request). The garlic eggplant was delicious and always my go-to dish. I'm not sure of the exact name but the beef noodle tin foil dish was really good too and the portion was big. Price was also very reasonable and service was good.

Stop by here for lunch with a friend. Street parking only. It's not difficult for me to find a street meter parking. However, today is Thursday afternoon and I don't think it's a busy time for lunch. Food is decent. I got a lunch special and some barbecue skewers and appetizers. Flavor is good overall. Lunch specials comes with noodles with different meat option, and one meat skewer and one veggie skewer, and a drink; or 3 meats skewers, 2 veggie skewers, rice and a drink I picked a noodle and 2 skewers. I think the skewers are overcooked slightly. A bit dry to me. But flavor is 7/10. I ordered a spicy beef noodle soup-9/10. I like soup noodle. I ordered a medium spicy one. It's not that spicy to me. The beef is bit dry but the flavor is decent. My friend ordered the shrimp noodle and she said the flavor is good and the shrimp is big and fresh. 8/10 Popcorn chicken-8/10 Sweet potato fries-10/10 Price is fair to me. Recommended you to try this place if you're craving for Chinese barbecue skewers or soup noodles.

Pretty nice place. The skewers were good. The smoothies were yummy. The service was good. The dessert wasnt sweet enough.

Really good value spot. The hot pot is perfect for 2-3 people for only $30. Open pretty late which is always nice

Food here is a hidden gem in Staten Island. We stumbled across this restaurant while trying to find a Chinese spot that's open late. Luckily we found this perfect spot for our late night meal. We loved all the skewers we ordered: lamp, beef, rice cake, bacon wrapped enoki mushroom. The dry hotpot was pretty good but the flavor could have been stronger. The waitress was attentive and helpful. The restaurant itself was a chill vibe and darker overall. We'll definitely be back!

(I say hot because I burnt my mouth taking my first bite haha...) I ordered the Beef Lo Mein, which was good but different from other lo meins I usually order because it had a more soupy sauce! I also got their iced Lychee Green Tea with Regular sugar, which I loved. Service was very fast and the inside of the place was nice and clean! 10/10 Would come back!

That's when we found Lion Dance in Staten Island. Honestly, I didn't expect much because this place is on Staten Island. I've lived here my whole life, and to be real, not a lot of food spots here are that good. I usually go to other parts of NYC to eat. But BOY, WAS I WRONG. I got the pork soup dumplings, lotus leaf steamed rice with beef and broccoli, shrimp siu mai, and a mango green tea with medium sugar and mango jelly. Everything was so good! The biggest surprise was the lotus leaf steamed rice, it had so much flavor and went perfectly with the beef. The portion was big too. The soup dumplings were juicy, the siu mai were fresh, and the mango green tea was super refreshing. Service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean and nicely decorated. Overall, I loved the food, the vibe, and the service. Definitely coming back and if you're from Staten Island, trust me, this spot is worth checking out!

So happy we're not far from here cause I'll definitely stop in. Gives me the Chinatown feel without being in the city. They also serve roast duck which I'm a fan of and can't wait to try. You enter and tables are right inside. This is probably one of the first most authentic Cantonese places I come across on the island. It is unique in a sense that it tries to accomplish so much and accommodate many populations at the same time. I can't tell you if I should call it a restaurant or cafe. For instance, right when you walk into the restaurant/cafe, you get a sense that if you want to sit down to eat and dine, you can expect services. Though, this is not typically how you'd feel if you were to walk into a Cantonese bakery. In a regular Cantonese cafe, you are not expecting services. Rather, you can buy a cup or milk tea or a Bao, and you can chill and gossip with your friends. To sum up, just know that you will get service if you are getting a meal here. The waitresses are incredibly nice and warm. In the left side of the room or straight ahead from the entrances, there are counters specifically for takeouts . I ordered 1lb roasted pork, Cheung fun, a honey tea, and a Bao. They are pricier than Manhattan and Brooklyn, however, all are incredibly delicious and authentic. I recommend it.

I was asking about reservation, they said it's not needed-the Jade Island is huge! But we called for a reservation... I was very skeptical from the start about Chinese cuisine-not my taste, but my friends repeated about old school, classic Chinese Food! At the start-yes, the place is huge! With different shape tables -from 2 to bigger for 10 and more... Surprisingly, there were still a lot of diners at that late time... I forgot Chinese food totally and opted for a safe option- Fried rice with shrimps- very tasty, not salty..huge portion-took home half of it. We ordered Tofu with veggies-crispy veggies, Bock Choi not over- or under cooked-perfect - and tofu-delicious and family size prefix for 2 -with soups/spring rolls and main-chicken... Size for 2 would definitely feed 3-5 people! Great service, very attentive; -spacious seats, nice ambience - and great prices! Would definitely go again, if my friends decide to eat there. Thank you, Jade Island staff!

This place is so nostalgic just for the decor alone, it makes me long for the good old days! This is as American as Chinese food can get, so if you're looking for authentic Chinese food, you need to go elsewhere. This place has big portions, great service, and caters to a more American dining experience with big tables for parties or even reunions. Non-negotiable items I have to get every time I'm here: - egg rolls - big and crispy - wonton egg drop mixed - the pieces of pork are HUGE - orange chicken - perfect white chicken meat every time! - chicken and broccoli - tried and true We usually come around 5PM on a Saturday to beat the rush and it works out perfectly that we don't need to make any reservations.
