Waited 3 weeks for a part they came the next time they were servicing our area where we live, put the part in I guess never check to see if the dryer actually worked left and didn't say anything. When I called them to ask them why the dryer wasn't working they said it would be another week before they could see somebody up check it they also needed a new work order. We had a washer and dryer removed and installed a washer/dryer combo. The two installers were amazing! The placement of the old washer and dryer was difficult to both remove and install. They were polite and friendly never complained about the situation or the length of time it took to install the new unit. I will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

In October, my elderly parent's found themselves with a broken fridge. They were assigned to this company and so far each they leave there is another problem and they sit on parts at the shop. Last week finally we thought everything was fixed with a final compressor replacement. But the tech and training supervisor DID NOT turn the valve back on from the water or test things to assure things were working. Both nice gentleman. But now we have survived a holiday gathering with a freezer not making ice and turning Blue Bell Ice Cream to soft serve. Someone will come check it on the 10th, probably just to order another part that will be delivered within a few days just to schedule a week or two later for repair. This is beyond a pattern here of mismanagement and poor prioritization of people waiting. read more

I wish I could give this horrible company, Mr. Appliance of East Texas, ZERO stars, but that's not allowed. I contacted my home warranty company (LHG) on 1/2/2020 about a problem with either my washing machine or the drain in my home. I'm 100% disabled and couldn't move the machine around to see which one the actual problem was. Mr. Appliance of East Texas(MAET) was assigned the task. The next day, (1/3) MAET contacted me to let me know that it would be the 9th before they would be able to come out to check on the problem. The lady I spoke with talked like I was some sort of irritant she wanted to hurry up and get rid of. She was abrupt, rude, condescending and not willing to listen to my problem. When the tech arrived on Thursday (1/9), in the afternoon, he was professional and went straight to work. He was able to find out that the problem wasn't the machine, but rather, the drain line was blocked. He said he would contact my home warranty company and tell them they needed to refer the problem to a plumber. I called my home warranty company on Saturday (1/10) and was told they hadn't heard anything from Mr. Appliance of East Texas. Since they weren't open over the weekend, I had to wait to call them again on Monday (1/13) and evidently talked to the same lady I spoke to before. She had the same abrupt and rude attitude as before. I also found out that they only communicated via email and nothing was done on the phone and no follow-up was done. When I told her that was a terrible way to do business and I thought MAET was horrible and their business model was a joke. Her answer was; "that's your opinion." She's right, it is my opinion and mine is the one that counts - not hers. She has a job because of opinions of people like me - CUSTOMERS. I want to give this company a NEGATIVE STAR RATING.. BUT I CAN'T. I have never written a review for a company before in my life, but this company is TERRIBLE. I have never been so displeased with a company that I would advise others to avoid at all costs! I contacted my Home Warranty Company on multiple occasions (older home). Each time they said "to use Mr. Appliance" So, of course, I did. The first time was for my dishwasher to be replaced/fixed. This company didn't come out until 2 weeks later after I had said I needed help. But I just chalked it up to a busy schedule. Whatever, right? Well, once they came out, he looked at my dishwasher, I explained the issue I was having with it. He "reset it" and left. It worked for 2 days after that. I called my Home Warranty Company again. They said again, use Mr. Appliance. I WAITED FOR 3 MONTHS for someone to come back out. Keep in mind, I am handwashing dishes (not a big deal... I know - but do it for months on end & your hands start tearing up & hurting) *first world problems, right.. lol* Nevertheless... I finally get someone out to look at it. & he looks inside it and says "oh we need to order a part should take 5-7 days to get it back." then he leaves. I said ok and went on with my day. ANOTHER 3 MONTHS go by, no word, no update, nothing. I then lose my mind. I call the company and start asking questions. I keep getting "it's on backorder." or "It should be there tomorrow" Never could get a straight or honest answer. Finally, get the stinking part in & then they take another month to schedule a visit to come to fix it. They fix the dishwasher and it works for about a month. The dishwasher goes out again. I call my home warranty company and they dispatch the "great" Mr. appliance. Long story short it took over a year to get my dishwasher replaced and installed. Another time I have had issues with this company is with my microwave. It caught fire and needed to be replaced. I specifically asked my Home Warranty company to NOT give me this place. They have no choice.. Mr. appliance NEVER came out to fix my microwave. I ended up having to purchase my own and install it myself, after waiting 2 months to get on the books. And now... My cooktop broke and needs to be replaced. I have YET to get an update unless I call and again this "part is on backorder". They don't even look up my account, they just tell me it's backorder and to call back another time. I am fed up with this company. They are a nightmare. They are unprofessional. & they're exhausting. I am so over having to deal with them. They don't communicate with you, they don't know what they're doing. They constantly blame the warranty company for their mistakes & their lack of care for their customers. Unethical business. Avoid at all cost! Our SubZero refrigerator stopped working and, after searching for a local repair service, noticed that Mr. Appliance of East Texas had a Sub Zero logo on their website. When I called to schedule service, I was assured their technician was fully certified in SubZero repair. On the day of scheduled service the repair tech arrived and after a few minutes of inspection, announced the control board was faulty and said he would order a new one. We went ahead and paid for the board and service which was over $520.00. We were told it would take a few days and that he would call once it arrived. After 2 weeks and no call, we called the company to inquire about the status. After being placed on hold for several minutes, the representative told me that the part for our unit was no longer being made so there was nothing that could be done. She told me that I would be credited for the part which was over $350.00 of the bill we had already paid. With no other option I began searching the web and quickly found the correct replacement part. I made another call to Mr. Appliance and asked if they would install the part I had found. They said they would so, I scheduled another service call. As before the tech arrived as scheduled and began working on the unit. He told me that even after replacing the board the unit was still not working and that I had probably bought a bad control board. He suggested I returned the board and schedule another service once a replacement arrived. This entire experience with Mr. Appliance left me less than confident with their ability. Rather than rescheduling, I called a certified service company out of Dallas. (CW Services who turned out to be fantastic). This time when CWs tech arrived he quickly assessed the issue which turned out to be nothing more than a faulty power cord. He replaced the cord and the unit began working perfectly. Neither the original control board or the replacement board were bad. I immediately called Mr. Appliance to complain and ask about the refund they never issued. No answer and no return call, after multiple attempts. After a month still no refund and still no return calls. I've contacted the credit card company to dispute the charges and will be contracting the BBB. Also, I was informed they are not certified SubZero repair specialists. In my opinion they are a dishonest and unethical business. Do not do business with this firm. Call CW Services and spend the money on a company that knows what they are doing. read more

My two year old LG dryer stopped working over the weekend. I called Mr. Appliance on the following Monday. I scheduled and appointment for Wednesday. The technician called 20 minutes before arriving like I requested. He was dressed professionally. He inquired about my issue with the dryer. He immediately went to work and discovered the issue. He wrote up what it would cost to repair the dryer and explained it very thoroughly to me. It was a fair price. He had the parts with him to repair it. He repaired the broken part and completely cleaned the inside of my dryer. After putting the dryer back together, he noticed an issue with the ventilation hose and repaired it as well. It was a good experience. If the need arises I would definitely call them again. read more

Their customer service was the worse I've seen. It took me three months to finally get a dishwasher repaired by this company. First of all the tech who came out never took our dishwasher apart or run any test on it but he recommended I needed five different parts. After about three weeks and not hearing back from them I drove to their business. I called first but got no answer at the business. First of all there is nothing to let you know you're at their business because it is a old farm house or resident that's converted into a business with no business signs. I was told three items were in but the other two were on back order.For the next couple months I called the business with no answer. I finally made a second trip to their business location but no one answered the door. It was around 10 am when I got there. It wasn't until about three months and many calls with American Home Shield who I had insurance with to finally get a resolution. I have used these guys for 8+ years and have had good service in last....over the last several service issues I have had they have completely dropped the ball....firing technicians after they had been to our home and failed to secure records...no follow up on part order status, lost orders after WEEKS between service calls, 10-15 minuet hold times, parts department on lunch break at 11 am with no ability to look up status of parts order....don't use Mr Appliance!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! My Maytag washer starting giving me problems about a week ago. Called on Friday and service technician came out Monday. Told me it was the motor and he would order one and someone would call when it came in. I called them on Wednesday (2days after they came out to get a timeframe on the part and the receptionist proceeded to tell me that "We no longer service Whirlpool warranty work as of 2 months ago." I ask her if they were planning on calling me or just going to leave me hanging?? When I ask to speak to the manager, she was conveniently on the phone. I ask for her to please return my call. My experience with this company was a complete nightmare!!! They were dispatched by my warranty company to repair my refrigerator which was not holding temperature. Tech came out and said he immediately knew what the problem was. Said it would take 2 weeks to get parts since it was a Samsumg, but they might arrive in a week. I followed up a week later only to be told that my warranty company had not approved the repair so parts had not been ordered. I called warranty company and was told Mr. Appliance had not sent them anything to approve. So I called Mr. Appliance back and they said they would send report. Got a call back later that day, parts orders. They were out a week later to install. 3 days later, fridge began not holding temp again. I called my warranty company again and they again dispatched Mr Appliance and put a rush on it. They didnt bother to show up for the 1st appt they set up with me. Tech arrived next day. Tech stated he would be sending report that evening. I called everyday for 5 days in a row only to be told by the office manager they were waiting on the tech. Thankfully, once the report was sent, my warranty company decided the fridge was not worth any further repair so I didnt have to deal with Mr Appliance anymore. Very unprofessional and poor customer service. Don't bother calling if you want your repair handled in a timely manner. read more

Unfortunately, I had to leave a star. A little more than three months ago our Kitchen Aid oven went out. We called our home warranty who sent Mr. Appliance over. When the technician arrived he proceeded to walk over to the over and looked and could not fine the serial number. So he simply said I can't touch this and went on to his next appointment. A day later I searched the oven and found the serial number called Home warranty and told them. Then I heard nothing back from anybody. If you try calling Mr Appliance you will be greeted by an automated message stating they have high call volume and to text a number. When I have texted said number I get no response back I've also called and left a message with said number. Again no response. I then called home warranty to try to get someone else out but they claimed they have called and I should be hearing from them. Maybe a month later after dealing both between (HW- home warranty) and nothing from (MA- Mr appliance) I called to make an appointment with Don's. As soon as I hung up with Dons I finally got a cal back from MA... they claimed the were waiting on a part this entire. When I asked how they knew what was wrong or what part they ordered because well they never actually looked at the oven. They said that it was the mother board and they just needed to come get it and send it off. Ok well come on then I said. So after another week. A technician showed up to remove the part only to find out my oven didn't have that part. So obviously they have no idea what they were doing or that we are just running in circles wasting time. He said "Oh this model can either have or not have that part" so I guess yours doesn't. But the good news is we can order the correct part" well now it has been over 3 months I have heard nothing back from them. I've called my HW and they have nothing more to tell me but they can call and try and contact them. Which they tried and nothing happened. So I've cancelled my HW and I'm done trying with these jokers. The unfortunate thing is I've wasted 3 months without an oven trying to deal with all this to "save money" by using home warranty. Which costed me over $600.00 anyways and this is what I've had to deal with. So now I'm on the list for a tech from Dons to come out next week and fix it. read more

So we called our home warranty company and they scheduled us an appointment with Mr. Appliance. On July 18th Mr. Appliance came out and diagnosed the appliances and stated they would have to order parts and that it usually takes a week to get the parts in. After hearing nothing from Mr. Appliance for two weeks I called and spoke with a lady and she stated they received all the parts except for on on July 23 and they are waiting for the last part so they can come and repair our appliances. After waiting another week and still no call, I called Mr. Appliance again and asked if they have received he part, she said no, so I asked her where they are getting the parts from so I can call them and she told me they ordered them directly from our warranty company. I called our warranty company and they told me all the parts were shipped and K. Michaels signed for them. So I contacted Mr. Appliances and told them what my warranty company had just told me. It then turned into a finger pointing war between mr appliance and my home warranty company. My warranty company decided to go ahead and ship the part again. Mr appliance called me last week and told me they have received the part and scheduled us for repairs on Thursday September 7 (today) Mr. Appliance calls me this morning to inform me that they will not be coming to fix our appliances because the parts they have had at their office since July 23 were apparently damaged and they are just noticing this on the morning of the repair date. Personally I think it's all a lie. Thankfully my warranty company is tired of the issues as well and has now rescheduled our repairs with another service provider and will no longer allow Mr. Appliance to do repairs. I will never use this company again nor will I ever recommend them to any one I know. I called corporate office and spoke with Teena Jiminez who said she would send out an email and contact the owner of the franchise. I have the email she sent and I still have not received a call from anyone yet. read more

Strongly recommend this place if you want to have your refrigerator's ice maker malfunction MISDIAGNOSED, put down a $215 deposit for a new one, have them NOT EVEN ORDER THE PART, never call you, let months pass by and when you call to just cancel because your ice maker starts working again on its own have them apologize and say they will refund your money. Let weeks pass by again with no refund. Call again and say they have no record of a refund needing to issued and they will have a manager call me within the hour but "it's going to have a 20%cancellation fee and a $89.95 trip fee". After a few hours of not getting a call from anyone, I again reach out to them. She assured me the manager was planning on calling me. Never happened. The reason the service was cancelled was on Mr. Appliance being too incompetent to order a part but I'm being held responsible for it. Manager never called. Refund has yet to be issued. Better business bureau has been notified. So yes, I recommend this company if you like being jerked around. Can I give them a negative star review? Don't use this company EVER!!! read more

My GE refrigerator quit cooling Saturday May 20. I called Mr. Appliance and scheduled a repair for Monday morning May 22. The technician arrived Monday morning and very professionally analyzed the problem as a faulty defrost switch. He told me it would take a day or two to get the part then he would come back and install it. I waited 8 days until May 30 then I called to check on it . I was told it should be here by the end of that week which would be 11 days from the date of order. I asked why it takes so long and was told that's just how long it takes to get parts. When I hung up I got on the internet and ordered that part " next day delivery " from GE's Dallas, Texas parts center. It was in stock and readily available. I called Mr. Appliance again on Friday, June 2 and told the office manager that I had no problem getting the part "next day delivery" and asked if they could send the technician out to install the part I had obtained. It is about a 30 minute job. She told me they were booked up solid until Wednesday morning and they would do it then, which they did. Altogether my refrigerator was down for 16 days waiting for a part that was available in less that 24 hours. I tried to salvage some of my food with dry ice but just couldn't keep it up for 16 days. So I lost all of the contents of the refrigerator and freezer. I also resent the untrue information I was given about obtaining appliance parts. read more

The technician that was sent to my house (took them two weeks to "squeeze me in" had no idea what he was doing, FORGOT TO ORDER THE PARTS for my oven, (which he misdiagnosed come to find out), then the company refused to call me back for three weeks. My warranty company called them and asked why the parts had not been ordered, and they were told that the technician never ordered any and they didn't know why. So they finally get parts ordered (not even the correct ones), and say that they will be in by Friday at the latest. I called the next Tuesday to see if they had my parts in and would schedule a day to repair; the very RUDE office lady, told me that one of my parts would not be in until the FOLLOWING FRIDAY, (keep in mind that I have now gone two months without an oven because of these idiots.) I called the Monday after that next Friday, no answer, no return call from my voicemails. I called every day that week and left messages every day asking them to please call me back. They finally answered the phone the next Monday, and said they could come Tuesday to repair. Well, Tuesday right before it was time for them to arrive at my home to repair my oven, I received a hateful voicemail saying that they would NOT be coming to fix my oven, that they were still waiting on parts. He wanted to charge $40, but would waive the service fee. I decided to find a thermistor online. The most expensive thermistor I found is $12. So why would I be charged $40 after the 5th visit?? I am an American Home Shield subscriber. They referred me to Mr. Appliance. I was satisfied with the technician and the service BUT booking the appointment was a challenge! Answering machine referred one to another line that repeated the same message and leaving a message wasn't allowed. A second call, same issue. Finally, a third call and I was able to make an appt. for 6 days later due to the weekend...between "1 & 5". At 4 p.m. I called again and was told the Tech was "running behind". He arrived at 5:30. I would have appreciated a call from the office or Tech about 3 pm or earlier to let me know of the expected delay. "My" tech had 11 calls to make in a 40 mile radius - that seems to be too many. But he was friendly and helpful when he DID arrive. Just understand that your service call could be at the long end of a long day and plan accordingly. read more

My washer went out Saturday morning. I called my warranty service, and they contacted this company the same day. I was told to expect a call in an hour. Mr. Appliances' call never came so I called them. "Issac" and a co-worker initially denied the call existed, then Issac began to explain this company does not work on weekends or after hours during the week. He was unable to explain why I received different information from my warranty company. Issac stated the information had to be sent to a different part of the company since it is a warranty claim and would be received by Mr. Appliance Monday morning, and they would contact me and set up an appointment to service my washer. I received a call from Mr. Appliance of East Texas Monday afternoon at 2:55 pm to service my washer Friday. Coincidentally, my warranty company spoke with me a few hours prior today and stated Mr. Appliance would be contacting me shortly to make an appointment for Thursday. Hmm. Alot of conflicting information. Too much for me. read more

This company and tech did not give a written estimate or contract just a verbal cost of service fee that would be applied to repair. The tech was unable to determine exact source of repair needed and ordered a part that did not repair problem however we are being charged for a part that was his incorrect diagnosis and then wanted to order another part and charge us for another guess that may or may not repair but would charge for that part also. I feel we were deceived and charged for parts for incorrect diagnosis. All parts that do not repair the problem should not be at the cost of the customer. Their lack of uncertainty should be on the company not the consumer. Also took 3 weeks and said it would be another 8 to 10 days for another part. read more
