Out the gate Peter was responsive and excited about my project. I was redoing an entire courtyard which hadn't been updated in well over 30 years. I was very clear on my expectations and did a lot of the prep work prior to him and his team coming through. Peter talked a good game; we shared our experiences with different irrigation options, plant selection and weed mitigation approaches. We both shared a desire to maintain a fair and respectful approach to this landscape remodel. Everything went great leading up to their arrival at the house to begin work. Peter did very little of the work, and his two workers were barely managed. The lead worker was sloppy and aggressive. Downright disrespectful. I had spent nearly a thousand dollars on wholesale plants and he treated them as if they were garbage that he was inconvenienced to have to plant. My requests to have Peter supervisor his labor was ineffective. Two days later and the entire job was completed to the most mediocre of standards. Because I believe firmly in paying people on time, I paid at the end of the job assuming that the work would be guaranteed. Peter wasted no time depositing the payment, but has completely ignored subsequent communications to fix the poor quality work of his lead worker. It's been four months and it's clear Peter and his business plan to ghost me. He failed to complete the agreed upon work and has made zero effort to remedy the remaining problems. Finding honest and reliable landscapers is tough going. Sadly Leafs U Green is just another landscaper looking to turn a quick buck with no regards for the quality of his work.

JNR said it would take about 4 weeks for installation, which was acceptable. Two weeks went by and we got a call from JNR asking if we would like to have the turf installed in 2 days! Needless to say we were very happy. When the crew came to our house, they were professional, friendly and courteous. The guys answered all of my questions and I could tell they knew what they were doing. It was a pleasure to have them at our house. After getting quotes from three different landscaping companies, we opted to work with Drougthscape. Clear explanation of costs (itemized phases of work), good rapport, experienced Team, respectful, and fabulous/creative design eye. Services: Demolition, removal of dead sod, removal and correct installation of irrigation, correct installation of Decomposed Granite (DG), installation gopher deterrent mesh barrier, Zero-scape the front of the house/gravel only, additional fencing installed to make a distinct garden for the guest unit. About $69,000 USD. The biggest expenses were irrigation and fencing. Bonus: Our dog fell in love with the crew. The only con: our project began in December 2025-January 2026. It took longer than estimated because of the holidays and then unavoidable rain (for the one time of year it rains in LA). These complaints have to do with timing rather than any service, interaction, or decision made my Cody or his crew.
