All the while I am dealing with inflammation, and chronic pain, headaches, migraines and fatigue. Desperate for relief that would last more than an hour or so, I spoke with my practitioner about the idea. She confirmed she was aware of them but had not done any research or experienced it herself. She encouraged me to try it because my symptoms have been ongoing for so long she didn't think it could hurt. So I booked my appointment as soon as I could. I was excited at first but them panic set in...I would be closed in, I would be floating in the dark. I read the reviews and testimonials. I had to use self talk not to talk myself out of it. I showed up for my appointment and went to my float station and received the instructions from the provider. She told me everything I saw in the videos and some more. I got nervous all over again but I did it. I showered and the lights alternated from one area of the room to the other. I shampooed my hair and took several deep breaths as the lights dimmed. I took in two noodles and a head floaty. I didn't believe I would actually float in what looked like two inches of water when I stepped into the pool. The room was steamy and the water was warm and the evolving sounds of serenity and nature surrounded me. A hint of eucalyptus accentuated the room. As I laid into the water, I went through a series of thoughts and feelings. Initially, anxiety, then being in the womb again, it felt familiar, spiritually closer to my creator, I relaxed into a gentle prayer of peace, gratitude and thankfulness. I often released and forgot about those noodles as well as the knee pain, the back pain and the anxiety. I teetered in and out of grounding exercises that really impressed upon me that if I give in I would truly float. I'd open my eyes briefly to remind myself of where I was and I relaxed into the float. This is quite an experience but I don't want to give everything away so, I will say...I've had to stop three times while trying to write this because the zone is so deep and fresh. I am still in the waiting room and I am glad that I am taking the time to wait as my spouse now takes this journey with me, separately. I encourage you to take the break afterward. Sit in a chair, have a cup of tea and let the moment continue. I am pleasantly aware of my surroundings and am considering that the hour drive home may be sooner than I am ready for. So I'm taking my time so I can get home safely. #itsagoodsensation

I yelped "emergency dental" and saw the post from a patient who had an emergency and was also on vacation. So, while on the road heading to Springfield, at 7:40 this morning we called Dr. Capati's after hours number and told him what happened. He said to call his staff at 8:00 and we did; they were able to squeeze in Stephen at 2:50 pm. The staff texted him a link for dental information (ie name, address, issues, etc) and by the time we arrived, everything was taken care of. He was done within 45 minutes and he said the tooth feels great. He's extremely happy and gives high praise to the staff and doctor.

Be careful if you are a new patient! They do not do annual cleaning for the patient, instead they…read moredo first time visit cleaning which your insurance usually will not cover it 100%. I have made the call to do annual cleaning but it ended up be another "advanced" cleaning, named as: first time visit cleaning. This cleaning might be needed if you have not do your dental appt for more than 5-10 years, but for most ppl with insurance covered, we do cleaning annually, this advanced check make no sense, especially the dental trying to play the game to not mentioning specifically that they are doing a cleaning that will not be covered by insurance completely. So remember to ask clearly before they give you anything to sign!

I didn't even get a chance to get an appointment. I called and didn't get an answer, so I hung up. A little while later, I get a very odd and cryptic text message. At first, I had no idea who this was or why they were texting me because no one identified themselves as Moxie. Then it got even weirder. Here is the play by play: Unknown number: The girls are in appointments right now can help you? Me: Pardon? Do you have the right number? Moxie: You just called Moxie Massage. Me. Umm. I did, but this is slightly offputting... Moxie: Ok? When they are in a massage the phone numbers are transferred to the ipad. I'm Heather's mother, I take a message......I don't know why that's offputting? They don't have a receptionist. - Exposition: I don't know these people and I never left a message. The phone rang and rang and I hung up - end of communication. They text me randomly with "can I be helped," with an air of being put out, like I called them, why am I confused on who randomly texted me? Additionally, yes, there really is a lack of punctuation, semblance of grammar, and an overabundance of ellipses in the text. I don't respond, I am not interested if this is the first impression. Moxie: We like to acknowledge that call...? -Exposition: I don't understand the text. This is getting weird, I'm over it, I don't respond again. Moxie: If this is because you are looking for something illegal I'll stop you right there. We are professionals. -Exposition: WHOA!!! That escalated quickly! What is that all about!? And clearly the way this crazy person is comporting herself, she is not truly professional. I am incensed: she will not stop texting and has now accused me - a female and law-abiding professional of being a sexual deviant. I begin showing the text stream to my work colleagues and they are equally confused and appalled. Me: It is not that. I wanted to schedule a massage. And now I get very odd and unprofessional texts. I am no longer interested. Please do not contact me again. Moxie: (shrugging girl emoji) suit yourself -Exposition: Clearly, they are professionals (sarcasm)... this is ridiculous. Me: PS, I will now be posting this message in its entirety for everyone to see. Moxie: Ok? - Exposition: I do not respond. It was initially an empty threat; I just want her to leave me alone and perhaps reflect on her poor customer service skills, like greeting potential customers, identifying herself before sending random texts, and accusing potential clients of soliciting sexual favors for money. Moxie: In 12 years you're the only person that's had an issue.. Me: Please do not contact me again. It's at this time that I feel I should move from empty threat to it being necessary to post this craziness that ensued in text form. Wow, just - wow. Heather, I don't know you and perhaps you are an amazing massage therapist with a heart of gold. But your mother needs to be coached on proper texting etiquette and interacting with potential customers. read more

I met Heather through a mutual friend the summer before last and shortly thereafter I dislocated my shoulder again. The doctors just gave me a sling and some pain meds but after speaking with her, she convinced me to come in. It was amazing how much better I felt. I've been back several times since and just a month ago I fell down an entire flight of stairs at work and injured my back. Again, the docs gave me pain meds but said there wasn't anything they could do. My back has been broken before so I already had issues. I went back to Heather and not only did she fix my back, it was BETTER than it was before. Within two days all bruising was gone and the muscle spasms and radiating pain had stopped. As a chef, I tend to abuse my body and let things go longer than they should but it's good to know that there is someone as caring, skilled and knowledgeable as Heather around to fix me and keep my up and moving. Now anytime I get hurt, I don't call a doctor, I call her and schedule an appointment. The woman seriously works miracles. read more
