Let me start by saying two people mentioned float tanks/pods to me. One had already had the experience and the other was planning to have the experience. All the while I am dealing with inflammation, and chronic pain, headaches, migraines and fatigue. Desperate for relief that would last more than an hour or so, I spoke with my practitioner about the idea. She confirmed she was aware of them but had not done any research or experienced it herself. She encouraged me to try it because my symptoms have been ongoing for so long she didn't think it could hurt. So I booked my appointment as soon as I could. I was excited at first but them panic set in...I would be closed in, I would be floating in the dark. I read the reviews and testimonials. I had to use self talk not to talk myself out of it. I showed up for my appointment and went to my float station and received the instructions from the provider. She told me everything I saw in the videos and some more. I got nervous all over again but I did it. I showered and the lights alternated from one area of the room to the other. I shampooed my hair and took several deep breaths as the lights dimmed. I took in two noodles and a head floaty. I didn't believe I would actually float in what looked like two inches of water when I stepped into the pool. The room was steamy and the water was warm and the evolving sounds of serenity and nature surrounded me. A hint of eucalyptus accentuated the room. As I laid into the water, I went through a series of thoughts and feelings. Initially, anxiety, then being in the womb again, it felt familiar, spiritually closer to my creator, I relaxed into a gentle prayer of peace, gratitude and thankfulness. I often released and forgot about those noodles as well as the knee pain, the back pain and the anxiety. I teetered in and out of grounding exercises that really impressed upon me that if I give in I would truly float. I'd open my eyes briefly to remind myself of where I was and I relaxed into the float. This is quite an experience but I don't want to give everything away so, I will say...I've had to stop three times while trying to write this because the zone is so deep and fresh. I am still in the waiting room and I am glad that I am taking the time to wait as my spouse now takes this journey with me, separately. I encourage you to take the break afterward. Sit in a chair, have a cup of tea and let the moment continue. I am pleasantly aware of my surroundings and am considering that the hour drive home may be sooner than I am ready for. This is my go-to massage place in town, and normally Tammy is my masseuse, but today I had a wonderful experience with someone new! I'm a first time mom with a newborn, and my husband told me to get out of the house and do something for myself. I wanted a quick massage, and the only open time slot was 30min with Courtney, who I'd never seen before. I decided that even if it was a "bad" massage, it would still be worth it because I was so desperate. Well, the massage was FAR from bad--it was MAGICAL. From the beginning Courtney was super attentive to my needs and gave me a recommendation on what we should do with our short time. When she found out I was breastfeeding she even went and found a special pillow for me to be able to lay on my stomach. After the massage, she recommended a YouTube channel for postpartum exercises I can do to keep my neck/back loose. 10/10 amazing experience and now I know I can count on two massage therapists to be amazing! 1 STAR - My friend really likes this place, but much like a great friend, their fatal flaw is that they cancelled on us last minute. They have a policy that charges us 50% if we cancel last minute (even if we're sick). I drove 3 hours to get this massage (less than 24 hours before it started) to then get a text less than 12 hours before our appointment saying that it's been cancelled due to a therapist being sick. Health is important, so I understand that if there's no one to cover an appointment, there's no one to cover an appointment, but if you're going to charge me 50% for cancelling if I'm sick, it's a bad look if you as a business can cancel at any given moment with no consideration for the client's time or money. Hope they get this corrected soon. read more

I found a massage therapist that I liked. I'm the kind of person who will keep seeing someone if I like them. However, her schedule was limited and you had to text her to set stuff up. This is where Aches Away came in. I found they have an online scheduler and multiple LMTs. My first visit I set up the same day since you can see if anyone is available. I had an appointment with Tammy and it was amazing. I made the mistake of scheduling it before work. Now I only go on my days off. I was way too relaxed. I have seen Tammy again. That visit was just as great. I had a busy weekend. My body was sore. Tammy wasn't available so I scheduled with Andrea. I felt a little guilt going to someone different but I'm not sure if they care if you see another LMT. Andrea provided a great massage too. A different technique but just as effective. I really like Aches Away. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a massage. read more

I have gifted a friend and my sister a massage from AW, and they have been Super pleased with their "deep tissue" massage. I have also utilized the services in the past and I have always been very please with the attention and the services. Thus far, I am also SUPER happy that I do not have to "join" any plans, which is a deterrent from using services else where. read more

Never had a professional massage before. My shoulder and neck were killing me, so asked friends for a reference. Aches Away is where they told me to go. Aches Away had a pretty cool only appointment scheduler, so signed up for a one hour full body, deep tissue massage. The therapist was amazing!! She was very professional and worked magic on my neck. The location wasn't as easy to find as I'd liked. But it was very clean with a warm table and cozy environment. I'll be back! read more

I went to use the infared sauna and the float tank. Everything was very clean and professional. The receptionist was helpful and patient and explained everything well as it was my first time in a float tank. I really enjoyed it, very relaxing and reduced my body aches a great deal. The float tank is not at all claustrophobic and you control the music and lightening or have the option of no light or sound. read more

I got the 90 minute deep tissue massage from Sharie. I loved the atmosphere and the people were very nice! Sharie was very personable and friendly and she did a very good job! I haven't gotten a massage in years, so I'm not sure what to expect out of a deep tissue massage. But I was pleased with how things turned out! Full body experience was just what I needed. read more

Aches Away was kind enough to take my husband and me on a Saturday at short notice. The place was clean and bright. The reception was friendly. The specialist, however, was inept. We didn't have a choice but the one who massaged us did not have a certification lisence on the wall or a card in the holder. She had no technique and pawed around my back until I directed her as to where and how she could actually do some good. She told me my lefthandedness made my shoulder tight. I am right handed. She was a big gal (like me) and the effort to massage made her breathe heavy and her body was often part of the massage. While we were grateful to be taken in (we are used to monthly massage and were on the road), the experience was disappointing. read more
