History
Established in 1985.
For over 30 years, Dr. Timothy J. Bly has provided the Bloomington-Normal and surrounding areas with specialized chiropractic treatment of acute and chronic conditions. Dr. Bly graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in December of 1983 where he was recognized for having one of the largest student practices in the clinic. After graduating from Palmer, he began an associateship in Peoria, IL, with Buescher Chiropractic Clinic. He then opened Bly Family Chiropractic in August of 1985. In 2001, Dr. Bly moved to a state-of-the-art chiropractic facility where he could incorporate a wide variety of therapeutic and healing techniques. That same year, Bly Family Chiropractic became one of the first clinics in central Illinois to incorporate the Pro-Adjuster technique, which uses space age technology to scientifically analyze and correct spinal dysfunction. Dr. Bly also incorporated spinal decompression and cold laser therapy to enhance the treatment and correction of spinal issues.
Meet the Business Owner: Timothy B.
In addition to his extension chiropractic training, Dr. Timothy J. Bly is also a certified acupuncturist. He completed a 100 hour program in Kansas City at the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture and studied acupuncture in China at the Shanghai and Beijing Research Institutes of Acupuncture. Additionally, he was a member of the Post Graduate Faculty for Palmer College and graduated from the Advanced Symposium on the PulStar given by the National Association for the Advancement of Scientific Chiropractic. Furthermore, he has completed continuing education training in the following: X-Ray course with Dr. Ehrhardt, MRI course with Dr. McLean, Extremity Adjusting and Sports Physician Training with Dr. Malley, Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury training taught by Dr. Ackerman, scoliosis study under Dr. Barge, Upper extremity work including the Temporal Mandibular joint dysfunction with Dr. Stierwalt, Whiplash Master's Certification issued by the Spinal Research Institute.
