Wow! What a mixed bag of reviews. I can only speak for myself and Robert and his assistant (wife I believe) did a great job! I called him for my daughter, who had a lot of junk to remove from her property. I sent him a couple of pictures and he gave me a price that I thought was fair. He said he could be there the next day and the appointment was arranged. He was within 15 minutes of the time agreed to and that was fine. They worked very hard loading all that stuff into his trailer and we're done quickly. Very nice and professional. I will use them again. read more

Today was the worst moving experience I have ever had :( ! Initially, I decided to try out this company because someone in my old apartment complex who had recently used this company said she had a positive experience. However, my experience today was very far from a 5-star experience :( ! And very different from hers! The owner, Robert, did not take full ownership and responsibility himself, and was not too forthcoming when I already questioned the pricing in the beginning. I specifically told him that I wanted to keep my entire move to 2 hours at most. He only told me AFTER his guys moved my stuff across town that I would be charged $468 for 3 hours! The move itself should not have even taken 3 hours. When we were still at my old apartment complex, I told them that my move should be only 2 hours or less because I have a small load, no furniture (except for my folding table and chairs, and my foam mattress), and that everything was packed up before they all had gotten there. With all of my moving experiences, I always box and pack up my stuff so everything is ready to go when the guys get there. This also helps to expedite the move. However, one of the guys took a while to get started on the move. I'm not sure why with this company, the "start" time is determined by not only when the movers get to your first place, but is also determined at the moment they go over the contract with you. He spent at least 15-20 min going over the contract when the owner really should have texted or emailed me this ahead of time. Going over the contract really should not be factored into the actual move time because nothing is being packed or moved during that time frame. I already had to steer the first mover back on track because he was wasting time asking questions that were not relevant at all to the move itself, such as how much was my rent, etc. I wasn't too happy when he told me after we got to my new apartment complex that the payment for my entire move would be 3 hours = $468. I didn't think that was fair because we had already spent 15-20 min at my old complex going over the contract, and he already wasted time asking me additional questions that were not relevant to the contract. I called Robert. But much to my dismay, it was ONLY at that moment that he said my move would be treated as a 3-hour move, even though it was definitely not a 3-hour move. He also dismissed my feedback and said his movers talk' was just small talk. Other companies I have used before have always moved my small load in less than 2 hours and only charged me for a 2-hour window. The small load size has been the same each time, with hardly any furniture. For this particular move, there were also elevators at both apartment complexes, and only one long walkway at one. The Moving Forward movers did not even have to deal with stairs. I used another moving company before in another city for a complex that had no elevator, but only stairs. Those movers and the owner did not complain, and they still carefully moved my stuff from the second floor of one complex to the second floor of the new complex in less than 2 hours. As if the not-forthcoming charges were not already bad enough, I was really embarrassed by the loud music the MF movers blared so loudly when they got to my new complex, and which they kept on even when they got out. I had to ask them to turn down their music for the sake of the other residents in the complex. They also were not careful parking the truck and parked it on the curb. I had to ask them to take the truck off the curb, and I asked them to please be careful with their truck. I think part of the cement was somewhat damaged! After they unloaded all of my stuff, they hastily drove their truck out of the complex. However, the security guard said he noticed that the driver almost sideswiped one of the residents who was turning her car as well. The lady was already in the left turn lane to turn left, so she was in the proper lane. However, the driver was in the right turn lane and erroneously turned left from the right turn lane! He really could have hit her and caused an accident! Because of the seriousness of the near-incident, the security guard asked me for Robert's phone #. He called Robert and told him about that near-incident and informed him that his movers have to be more careful when they are driving. I also texted Robert and told him that his movers really have to be careful when they are driving their truck to places where they are assisting customers, and certainly be careful when they are driving alongside other people. However, he did not answer. Needless to say, this is the first and last time I will ever use this company for moving services. I paid a premium for lousy and horrible customer service. I can not recommend this company to anyone who needs moving services. read more

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! *this is a precaution to take before you consider* On Saturday March 23, 2019, we hired this company to move our 2bd 2bath Apartment from the 3rd floor to another apartment on the 3rd floor. We heard great things about how fast and efficient they were so we considered them. They started moving us at 9:30am and didn't finish until 4:30pm. From the start of the move, we let them know all the big stuff that they needed to move. We walked them through the living room, and 2 bedrooms they would focus on while my family would get bags and boxes moved which were the little items. My sister stayed the first 1.5 as my mom and I went to go get cash and the new keys for the new apartment to manage the time for when they finish loading. We got back and it seemed like hardly anything was moved. The two bedrooms still needed the bed broken down and the living room still had the entertainment system that needed to be loaded on the truck. I tried to block that from my mind because I knew it was just two guys and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but TIME IS MONEY and $90/hr does not grow on trees. They didn't finish loading the truck until 12:30pm. That's when they were headed to the new apartment. From there, it took them from 1:00pm to 4:30pm to finish unloading the truck. (Mind you, they have a 2 hour minimum. What company takes 2 hours only? Let's keep that in mind) Only the living room and 1 bedroom needed to be moved at the new place because the other bedroom didn't need furniture because new furniture was being delivered on Monday. We just had them break down the old bed at the old apartment for us to give it away. So all in all, with moving bags, boxes, couches, flat screen TVs and 1 bedroom, it took them 7 hours. Once they were done, we turned on the living room TV and as shown in the pictures and it was damaged during the move. My mom talked to the owner Robert about getting it fixed. We were understanding at first because we get things happen while moving in a big truck. However, when we spoke to Robert, he said we could make a claim for reimbursement. Once we made a claim, they were giving us $22 for the damage. $22!!!!!!? That's enough for parking downtown, or gas in my car. That won't even get me in to Schliterbahn. Robert said that's all they could give us because they should have charged us by the pound. That's all they could give us according to the Texas DOT & if we didn't like it, we could complain to them. We told them complaining won't fix the TV. We even tipped them good. We are single black females that work hard and wanted to support a BLACK BUSINESS. Please don't get caught up in that. If the business is not about their business, they need to reconsider their career. $22 is an insult and we will NEVER go with them again. I want to help the next person by this review and pictures attached. If CHRIS AND MARQUIS are not the two guys moving you, then decline the move. I heard together they are fast movers as a team. They'll claim they offer you insurance for covering damage items, but when we called out Robert, he admitted that he never offered insurance. The owner is taking advantage of people especially single women. Chris was fast but the Hispanic gentleman with him, was moving slow. Horrible company. Had a quote where I told the owner to give me an estimate which I said I won't hold him to an exact amount for a 3 bedroom apartment them packing everything and he said $625-800 worst case scenario. Guys showed up and got to work. All in all ended up being 7-8 hours, in which my wife and I did about 40% of the packing ahead of time and transportation they said they would do,a total of $1400 and a damaged stainless steel fridge that they swore they didn't do. Completely damaged my door frame getting the fridge in which is was caused the damage on my fridge. Also, dropped the corner of the fridge on the wall which scraped my entire wall. Was told by the crew the owner would make it right and take care of me and he offers a $196 refund for the damage. The workers basically were calling me a liar to my face and that was explained to the owner. Horrible company, horrible experience and if you value the true cost of your property I would not recommend them. My previous company moved me 1300 miles and I didn't have one thing damaged and these guy6 miles without couldn't move my stuff and my home. Don't use these guys to move!!! They were extremely careless with my items and broke 3 boxes of very valuable glassware. They did not wrap my boxes properly and they were dropped from the stairs as they were going up to deliver my items. They did not apologize, and when I called the owner, Robert Williams, he said that they are NOT responsible, and he would "not apologize" for his employee's carelessness. Wow! Also, the moving guys were smoking the entire time and I asked them not to, but they continued to smoke. I've reported them to the BBB. read more

I recently used this company, and they took their time wrapping my furniture. I saw three movers wrapping a small mirror that one person could have done. They will take their time to drain you as much money as possible. Also, their movers reeked of marijuana when they arrived. The owner, Robert Williams, is shady and will sneak in additional fees without telling you. I would give this company a 0, but I had to select one star to post. The Moving Forward moving crew showed up two hours later than scheduled. When they arrived they smelled like weed and were moving very slow. They only helped with large items. They didn't bother to help with small items and boxes, even after being asked. The crew spent time on their phones, talking and listening to music rather than working. I moved most items by myself and with family, while we paid for help from this company. Really sad work ethic and disappointing experience. We were excited to see them leave. I'd love to give them a no star, that's what I'd actually rate. I'd like to be able to rate their ability to perform a move; however, they are less than reliable. I schedule a move several weeks out. The move was confirmed the day before with the owner. Movers were supposed to show between 12-2 and would call around 11:30 to let me know if it would be closer to 12 or 2. I heard nothing. By 12:30 I called and was told they were behind, finishing up a move, and would call me closer to 1:30-2 to let me know they were headed my way. Again, nothing. I contacted the owner and was told it would now be closer to 4 because the move they were on was bigger than they had anticipated. That's information I could have used the first phone call so I could make alternative plans as I had to be out of my current place by a certain time. I agreed to this closer to 4 time because what else can a person do? At 5 I received another call that they were still behind on the intial move and it would be closer to 6. They finally called me at 7:30pm and told me they'd be headed my way, but it was an hour drive. It was completely unprofessional and though I'd like to be able to say they provided a wonderful service, they actually didn't provide any service. They failed me. And I ended up having to make alternative plans at the last minute considering I was on a time limit to be out of my current place. What should have been an easy move turned into the most stressful and costly move I've ever experienced. I work in property management and can assure you that not only will they not get recommended at any property I ever land on, they won't be allowed to place fliers out promoting their lack of services! read more

This move was a pleasant surprise and I highly recommend them. The guys are hardworking and worked 5 hours without breaking, as some movers do. I had most of my things packed but ran out of time and they stepped in and packed my kitchen and closet. They protected my furniture with shrink wrap and where needed, bubble wrap. They took my bed apart and disconnected my washer and dryer. They were very friendly, helpful and showed excellent work ethic. I will definitely use them again when I get my things out of storage. I realize that there's some reviews on here that are less than stellar, but this moving company was great for us. They were on time and they were very respectful and pleasant to deal with. The gentlemen that showed up were very professional. They did everything, they wrapped, our furniture they listened to us and our concerns. They were accommodating. Issac, Albert and Marquiz are seasoned movers, we had no issues what so ever, no wall scrapes, no dings. If anything the snafus were on our side, we downsized and had some extra furniture. read more

These guys did a GREAT job loading/packing the Penske Truck. I watched as they fit everything like a puzzle. Mother Nature proved they did a great job, 12 hours after packing the truck, I drove through a Level 2 Hurricane. The Truck left the ground several times getting blown by the 105 MPH winds. But when I got to my destination, everything was still in place, nothing damaged. I guess you could say, these guys are Hurricane Certified now. read more

NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVING SERVICES!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!! It was the biggest mistake of my life. Moving can be a very stressful process and this company made it worse than it could have been. I hired them to move a one-bedroom apartment. I had everything packed. All they needed was to load it into their truck. Myself and another gentleman carried all the small items and boxes while they worked on the big items. Even with our help they TOOK 3 HOURS to do their job. Mostly because they were so consumed in their conversation, focused on their cell phones and taking one piece of item at a time. Another thing, they will tell you everything you want to hear to get your business and when they get their they don't follow through. I specifically told the manager or owner Robert what I needed from the move and he agreed to my request. I needed a washer and dryer loaded on to another truck. I was donating these items. They carried my washer down from the third floor. After everything was in their truck they told me that they could not lift the washer into the other truck because it was too heavy, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! I, ONCE AGAIN helped the older gentleman lift the washer into his truck. The moving company got lost going to my new apartment and because of their poor service and lack of time management, they wanted to charge me for another hour. I declined the hour so my items were left on the curb. I'm a single female and I feel that this company took advantage of me. I hope this review will help others. I would hate to see them do this to the elderly, single females, or any disabled individuals. Two of my female neighbors are needing movers soon but they witnessed how slow the movers worked and how unprofessional they were. They were angry and not only stated that they would not use this company but would also inform people they knew as well. I have used this company 3 times this year and I am an experienced mover coming from a military family. The guys are very accommodating, polite, and work hard. You let them know what you need and they strive to make it happen. We rescheduled a pick up the night before and Robert had no problem working with us.... highly recommended!!! read more
