We hired 2 Bros to load a storage trailer getting hauled to California…read more The good: - easy to communicate with over Yelp - brought straps (that we could buy off them) to secure the contents in the trailer - saved us $$ by packing the trailer tightly (2 feet less space than expected) The not great: - they wrapped only one piece of our couch in saran wrap, which protected the piece, but our other couch sections and bed were dirty from the inside of the trailer - CA side, many of our boxes marked as "fragile" were slightly caved in because there were many levels of boxes loaded on top of them. I'm thankful that nothing is broken, but it was tense seeing so many boxes with bent sides on the other end of the move

We called Anthony Augliera Inc knowing it was a shot in the dark - our last moving company was no longer in business (bad sign?) so we pursued this new (to us) company. Much to our delight they sent a guy out to the house BEFORE we moved so we could get an accurate quote. He was very professional and courteous and gave us a respectable qoute. So moving day come and the company tells us the movers will be there between 8-8:30am so I would expect to realistically see the movers at 9-10am lol. Didn't happen - they showed up at exactly 8am with 5 guys and 2 trucks. They worked their butts off and was so respectful of our belongings. They were polite and strong and had great senses of humor. They packed and wrapped our stuff as if it were their own. They did the move in a timely matter and charged me wayyy under the quote. Use these guys and with a little luck you'll get the crew I had. Ray...the guy is unbelievable and does Tetris with packing a truck. Then there's Chris who is a GREAT guy who is not afraid to work and also took all my Dad jokes with a smile. Eric is a hard working guy with a constant smile and a kind heart. Dale was a packing pro and a hard worker. Can't forget Jordan who was a superstar running up and down the stairs with a few hundred pounds in his hands and an incredible personality. Donell (probably butchering the spelling of his name) a hard worker and quiet guy but not as quiet as Mike who worked and worked and got the job done. I can't recommend this moving company enough.

They want to charge me $265 to "transport" my items from their warehouse in West Haven... onto the loading dock of their warehouse in West Haven. He kept asking me to change our pickup day and time. Each time I told him I couldn't change my plans. He could have simply told me it didn't work for them, but each time he'd say OK and I would confirm the day, time, and location of pickup at the end of the conversation. Then the next day he'd ask me to change it up again. When the day finally arrived, he texted me at 6:45 am and told me they were going to be almost 3 hours earlier than the scheduled time. Again, at no point did he disclose there was a pickup window. He had confirmed our appointment on multiple occasions. It almost ruined the whole process because we were picking up our item from friends, so I couldn't just randomly change the plan with no notice. Kareem was rude to me on the phone when I called him about this and said "things change". Then he billed me an invoice for our balance due before the job was done and texted me about payment. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

Chris the owner, mistakenly thought that my girlfriend calling and texting for an appointment confirmation was one of his workers. (At least he addressed her in a way that was unacceptable) He was rude, abrupt, and crude. He asked "why we were texting at 8 PM". Three points here: 1-When receiving messages, confirm you know who the message is coming from - a customer or a employee. 2-Revise your reservation confirmation system. There was a lack of clarity in terms of knowing whether we had a confirmed appointment or not. 3-Speak to customers with respect!

However, they did not have the equipment typically needed for moving a piano, such as a ramp or specialized moving tools. As a result, I had to assist with lifting the piano alongside my spouse. While I appreciate that the workers who arrived were courteous and did their best with what they had, the preparation and coordination for the job did not meet my expectations for a piano and heavy item move. I tipped the workers for their effort, but based on my experience, I would not use this company again.
