Katie walked me through a series of exercises to show me the variety of ways the reformer can be used, and did so in a kind and thoughtful way that made it seem much less scary than I'd expected. TLDR; if you're hoping to be cared for and have your health valued, find somewhere else. This place is more interested in paperwork and price gouging. First I spent 25 minutes filling out their extensive online form and then couldn't submit it without putting a credit card on file, which I didn't want to do. Then I had to fill it all out again in the office. There's probably 30 pages of policies and permissions you have to agree to whether you disagree or not. Also they charge you $10 over your copay for supplies whether you use supplies or not.

Turns out, scar tissue in this situation should not be manually treated as tissues (around foreign material such as mesh) require time to remodel and can be easily irritated. Finally realizing that the ongoing pain was not normal, I consulted with my urogynecologist for further evaluation and next steps. Unfortunately, the approach to pelvic floor physical therapy received at this practice prolonged my recovery for another year. I do not recommend them for complex pelvic floor therapy including post surgically.

I am currently 12 weeks PP and working with Dr. Chelsey who is a pelvic floor specialist, and she has been awesome! I got a free initial assessment with her, went home with the exercises she prescribed and immediately saw improvement in my symptoms. I have been been to her again at 8 and 12 weeks and feel I've benefitted a lot from working with her -- I returned to weight lifting at 8 weeks and running at 12. It's a small office on the second floor, with private rooms for exams and an open space with exercise equipment for training. I highly recommend Chelsey for pregnant and postpartum moms!!
