Unfortunately I didn't have a laptop with a webcam handy. I called every business and/or library and none of them had computers to rent with cams. I called the learning center and they allowed me to utilize there computer and webcam in a private room free of charge. I still can't believe how kind and accommodating they were? I can only imagine this is how they treat all the parents and children that need the learning center. Thanks again for your kindness. Phil

My son is very complicated to say the least. He is ASD, TBI, severe auditory and visual processing, high sensory integration, Irlens Syndrome, extreme anxiety, dyslexia and does not trust anyone. We have not been successful anywhere until here at ELC. Lynda got him in every way and I was taken back. I didn't have to tell her his needs or what we have found that worked for him. She told me and I kept saying yep that's it!!!! She understands how auditory and visual processing affects the ability to learn. They know when to push but not to much. They are looking at body language, fidgeting, behaviors to make sure he is okay. They work with you and your child not against you. One saying that really sticks with me is when Lynda said to me," we are not going to force him to learn our way there are over 20 ways he can learn we just need to figure out which one works best for him." As you can tell I highly, highly recommend ELC. I have referred other parents that have been so frustrated with the access to learning and all live me for recommending ELC. After you speak with Lynda you will understand it all !!!!

We covered many useful procedures seen in Walk-In/ Urgent Care, and Family Practice Clinics. This was an excellent review, and, sharing of new material. She is fun, positive, full of energy, enthusiastic, and willing to share knowledge for the sake of knowledge. She does not have a superior attitude. I felt this was invaluable to ad to my bag of NP tricks of the trade. Great job Ava! I also networked with some fantastic FNP's and PA's. Thank you everyone.

I was worried that I was the late one and I would not be allowed to enter so I called rachel. -Two students were not muting mic's the instructors were I believe trying to be polite in asking them to mute, but when they didn't there was no follow up so it was very hard to hear. Eventually I texted Rachel and at 11:36am it was fixed. -I think the slides were updated, the did not match what I printed, I was missing a few. -For the chest x-ray portion it definitely was not what I was expecting, or looking for, but it wasn't the worst experience of my life. Quite a bit of slide reading, not really a high energy or fun presentation like previous workshops I've been to. -No one really interacting or asking questions. With the first question which was well over 1hr in, John kept stating "did I fix your problem? Did that answer your problem?" now I came to learn so it isn't a "problem" it's a question and it's a good thing that someone is asking a question. Just made me feel that he was not really open to questions. Just seemed like they were making a big deal out of the question being a problem. -After lunch john came on and said how glad he was Mary was teaching the abdomen part that he really didn't know it well. Mary said yea I know you're glad I'm taking over.. laugh laugh laugh.. so then Mary's audio was breaking up. Everyone was saying they couldn't hear on the chat but Mary and John were just going along saying well hopefully it resolve tech issues .... laugh laugh laugh... eventually people were saying no this is really bad. So Mary apologizes and eventually they decide that she needs to log out and back on. John is sighing very loudly and hanging his head I think he even said oh man. He said well I guest my only option is to teach you. He said more than 5 times he hates ab x-rays. It was very uncomfortable. He CLEARLY did not want to teach us. -He started "teaching" again after a few minutes and it became apparent immediately thta he did not understand the content in the least. It was like he was reading the slides for the first time. For a minute or two he went on about female have female parts so be careful about that. He spent a lot of time on textbook s/s GI complaints and what diseases those are. He said that chest xrays are sometimes abbreviated cxr and ab xrays are sometimes abbreviated axr. Other than that slide reading. -Same time 2 people did not mute themselves one person playing with their kids, another talking to husband/wife I do not know. -I actually wrote in the chat that I wasn't getting much. John said oh no my internet isn't working now? I (in chat) no I just mean that i -I contacted Rachel who was super sorry and very nice and explained that this was John's first time leading a class and that you never get those complaints. She said she tried to contact you but that you were at work. She asked me to call Mary which I did but went to VM. -At this time I asked about next steps. This was at 1:50pm. I left the class and called rachel. She kept trying to get Mary to keep teaching but she couldn't. Eventually within the last 5 slides Mary started back teaching. I let Rachel hear what we were learning. He went to a slide about air in GI and he said "sometimes air is in the GI. This is air." Racheal heard this and was very apologetic; she said that this class was never like that. Racehl wasn't able to answer what my next steps were, just saying that I could retake the class. -Per the intstructors, the breakout rooms didn't work during the entire class. I wanted some time of personal attention to see if I understood the content well, but with so many people and no breakout rooms, so many connectivity issues, it just wasn't possible. The only persona interact I got was when I mentioned that my name wasn't called during role call. -I did not learn anything after the end of chest X-ray. -About Mary's internet. When she logged in initially her picture was small and her picture said "low bandwidth" after which time her internet bars were "yellow" which I assume means that her internet was not good. Your materials clearly state that if the student is having tech issues then that they would not get a refund, it is up to us to have our internet working ect. I would hope that your teachers would take careful time and attention to ensure high speed internet functional prior to class. Racheal said that she was teaching from another location. I am sorry that she had internet issues, I'm aware that they were not intentional at all.

But I committed to the 10 week program this past fall and within the first week I knew this was going to be worth my time and money! Lauren and Krista are both amazing at what they do and not once did they let our girls give up. They do this because they are passionate about teaching kids how to swim and survive! I can't recommend them enough! I'm already looking forward to the short refreshers they offer closer to summer time! We relocated from San Francisco to San Diego and moved into a home with a pool, so making sure our kids were safe around water was one of my top priorities. I actually scheduled swim lessons for our daughter, Emmy, with Krista before we even moved here! Emmy started lessons when she was 2, continued again the next summer at 3, and this past summer our son Hayes joined in at just 1.5 years old. Krista has such a gift with young children -- she's patient (yet firm), calm, and knows exactly how to make them feel comfortable and confident in the water. We've seen incredible progress each summer. Both kids have not only learned essential water safety skills, but they also love being in the pool now. The peace of mind knowing my young children are safe around water is truly priceless, and it makes living in Southern California (and being around so much water) so much less stressful. Swim Synergy has been such a wonderful experience for our family, and we're already looking forward to lessons again next summer!

We paid $500 per child for intake assessments, only to discover there was no immediate availability for actual instruction. Months later, when a teacher was finally assigned, we were told she was not the right fit and lacked expertise in the area our child needed most--ELA. Their communication was inconsistent, their promises misleading, and overall, the experience felt transactional rather than student-centered. Despite the polished sales pitch, our experience reflected a lack of professionalism, accountability, and genuine concern for our child's education. Be wary of vague assurances and shifting explanations--they always seemed to have an excuse but never a real solution. Ultimately, we found a far better alternative--a certified teacher at a local elementary school who specializes in ELA and comes to our home for a quarter of the $150 per hour E3 charges. Since working with her, our son has made tremendous progress and grown by leaps and bounds in his ELA skills. Save your time, money, and frustration--look elsewhere for real, caring, and qualified support.
