We have had such an amazing experience working with Talky Tots. We started with them when my son just turned 2 and was completely nonspeaking. We started working with Kim and my son loved her immediately. Her calm demeanor and fun, play-based approach kept him engaged and excited for session. Eventually we ended up adding on a 2nd session each week and this session was with Danielle! She was also so kind and fun with him and he warmed to her quickly. They helped my son through so many stages. Initially completely nonspeaking, to communicating exclusively through sign language, to helping us get an AAC device which became his primary mode of communication. And now he is about to turn 3 and his spoken language has absolutely exploded! We are so grateful for their support in understanding him, supporting him, and making sure all methods of communication were available and celebrated. I can't believe the progress he has made in this past year and we couldn't be more thankful! We've had other therapies that didn't work out because my son wasn't happy or progressing, but he is always so happy to see any of the gals at Talky Tots that he has encountered: Kim, Danielle, Molly, Sarah. They are all fantastic and make us all feel comfortable. And the HUGE improvements he has made are undeniable. I have also learned so much just from being there for the sessions, and it helps me to tailor how I engage with my son and be mindful in supporting his overall language development. Molly is absolutely an amazing speech therapist. She has so much energy and brings engaging activities. Molly has been providing speech therapy to my daughter for about a year now. Molly worked with our son before he went to kindergarten and he loved meeting with her and his speech improved noticeably in a short period. We started working with Molly during Covid doing exclusively virtual appointments for our son, Ryder. Trying to get a toddler to focus on a computer screen for 45 minutes is nearly impossible, but Molly made it super easy. Molly was the first therapist that Ryder connected with immediately and really engaged with from day 1. We've seen multiple speech therapists (6) and Molly still stands out as our favorite. Molly was our perfect speech pathologist. After going through the long, sometimes inconsistent and confusing system of Rady Children's and also trying an independent speech pathologist company where we saw very little progress, my husband and I felt tired and confused- at a loss for how to help our son. Luckily his teacher told us about Molly and from the first time I spoke with her on the phone I felt a connection with her that I had not felt with a speech pathologist before. Molly has done amazing work with my son. I originally reached out to her because my 8 year old was continuing to have some issues with R, TH and words ending with -AR and -OR. We had difficulty getting approved for speech therapy at school due to COVID backlogs. We saw major improvement in my son's speech within the first month, so much faster than we expected! She is sweet, encouraging and makes an effort to learn about your child's interests. For example, my son is passionate about Roblox and she managed to work his speech exercises into the game. Molly is Amazing! Within the first visit / evaluation Molly got my son to say words that he was having difficulty saying. Without my help, she was able to identify words my son used for certain objects. She was also able to identify sounds that were difficult for my son; and she was able to teach me ways to help my son improve his environmental sounds and speech. As I listen in the evaluation, I could immediately tell she was a professional in her field. We have been with Molly for about 3 months now and I absolutely love Molly's techniques. She encourages my son's speech with fun and interactive games and activities. My son' loves it when Molly visits because he thinks is time to play and have fun and does not even realize that he is having speech therapy. Molly is super sweet and patient with him. We recently went to an evaluation with the district and it was very textbook and not fun at all. Although we were accepted to receive speech therapy through the district we will continue to work with Molly because that is where he is getting the most benefit. Even my son's preschool teachers have noticed the improvement in my son's speech, and it is all thanks to Molly.
