Stumbled upon Move Along Coffee on Grand in River West when I just needed a quick pick-me-up, and it was perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's no indoor space, just a simple walk-up window hence move along coffee haha but the barista was super friendly and made ordering easy with the menu right in front of you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I grabbed a drip coffee, which I don't usually go for, but it was cold out and it seriously hit the spot. Price was great too: about $5 for a large even with tip, which feels like a rarity these days. Overall, a simple, no-frills coffee window that delivers exactly what you need: fast, friendly service and a solid cup of coffee. Perfect quick stop in the neighborhood. read more

Waited a little bit to check out this sweet coffee shop and was well worth the wait! My boyfriend and I had an iced latte with caramel and a pumpkin pie latte. The owner was so friendly and easy to talk to! We both throughly enjoyed our lattes, it was smooth and not overly sweet. I also loved my chocolate croissant. It does take a little time to get the coffee and treats since it's a one-man show, but the quality of service overall is worth visiting! read more

We discovered Move Along Coffee on a whim and I'm glad we did! The little walk up window can be hard to miss but we spotted their cool front mural while driving down Grand. The barista is such a kind soul and always makes conversation about your day and if youre somewhat indecisive like me, asks about your coffee preferences so he can tailor the drink to you. He's the only one working up front but never rushes his customers. He's also efficient and meticulous and the coffee always tastes superb. Theres baked goods from Defloured ( that Caramel brownie was divine) and local bakers. We lived the chocolate croissant! Highly recommend! read more

I was walking along Grand and had passed by Move Along Coffee a few times before without looking too much into it. The display of sweet treats caught my attention - specifically their ube salted coconut crispy (or some variation of those words). I was under the impression that the business was closed (Sunday, shut window), but my attention lingered on those crispies long enough that the window slid open - open!! The staff was very friendly and conversational on the crispy + how the day has been going in general. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very mindful, very cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The crispy is delicious! When I say I've been waiting for this place to open, I mean it. When a friend texted that it looked open in her walk home, I sprinted as best I could over with a sprained ankle. Move Along is a side walk take away spot. It's right next to a 65 bus line, which is highly convenient! The barista was super nice and friendly. It was late afternoon, so I got a chai apple cider, which was just delightful! The pastries all looked amazing from blueberry muffins to cinnamon rolls to handmade pop tarts. Website says they'll feature guest roasts, and I'm excited to try them out! I will definitely be back! read more

Cute walk up window in West town. I ordered a vanilla latte and an orange raspberry almond croissant. The latte was ok, but the croissant was amazing and very big! Wouldn't come back for a latte, but would come back for baked goods. Be aware that there may be a long wait, since it's only 1 person but he's very friendly. Great service! read more

Visiting from Rhode Island and I needed coffee and move along was only a couple minutes away. I got the iced pumkin latte,lemon Ube donut & the banana walnut donut! The coffee was gone in 5 minutes it was so delicious and the donuts were such a good texture that I wanted to go again just to try another donut. This charming walk-up coffee shop is located on Grand and Ogden. I came here after my yoga class while waiting for a friend. I ordered a 12 ounce chai latte and it was really good. I am usually picky about chai lattes and this one tasted great, not overpowered by spices and well balanced. I also appreciate that there was no extra charge for ordering it made with oat milk. The owner was super friendly and welcoming and provided great service. I also love the format of just being able to walk up, have your coffee made, and grab it to go. Stopped by here for the first time on my way to somewhere else. I got an iced hazelnut latte with oat milk. The coffee was actually super smooth and delicious, so I think I want to try it without the syrup next time. The prices are reasonable and alternative milks are included in the price. There was a small selection of enticing donuts and an almond croissant cookie that I'd like to try in the future. Also, I thought the ice cubes in the shape of an "M" were cool! read more

I was in Chicago for a wedding , found this coffee near the AIRBNB we were staying. The coffee was 10/10 , I had the iced pumpkin spice latte. The guy behind the counter was not only super friendly but also gave us many suggestions of things to do while in the city. I recommend this place if you're ever in the area. read more

Stopped by Move Along for an early afternoon coffee and I got the Pumpkin Pie Latte, iced with oat milk. I had asked for a less sweet version and they were so accommodating and explained that they would decrease the amount of their fresh pumpkin purée to make it to my taste. It was just right and flavorful! Staff were super friendly and love the grab and go concept - will def be back to try more! read more

Amazing coffee place, put it on your list. Owner is super friendly which I didn't expect from a place called "move along" and with a grim reaper painted on the building. Pulled up to Move Along Coffee on West Grand last Saturday and got their iced latte with a pistachio‑orange donut and a homemade pop‑tart. The barista was super laid-back, cracking jokes while carefully pulling my shot and asking how my weekend's goin'. The iced latte was smooth--no syrup overload--and the donut was a total vibe, nutty and fresh. It's a street‑side, walk‑up window setup, so yeah, you might wait a few minutes, but that low-key corner‑store feel is part of the charm.
