Love this place! I was introduced to them through TooGoodToGo, an app designed to reduce food waste. But... who would want to waste chocolate or caramel? I am a regular here since they always seem to offer deals. Mouth Party is located within an obscure Timonium business park, so you really have to pay attention to your navigation system! The store is a really nice spot with all types of confections displayed to entice a sugar junky. Can I say that their candies are actually beautiful? You'd agree. They also have a glass window where you can see workers making these chocolate delectables. What a beautiful sight lol. Beautiful, clean space. The employees are very friendly and informative. I came here to get ingredients for a gift basket. So glad I did. These caramel confections were not only well made /and flavorful but extremely well made. The mix of flavor offerings were impressive. Each caramel gave a Willy Wonka feel. The store is open from 10a to 4pm. I love that once you are inside you can see the staff making the caramels through the glass windows. The caramels are delicious. The taste of butter, cream, and sea salt was amazing. I had purchased an Oleatta from Starbucks and I ate a caramel and drank my coffee. WOW!! That's an amazing combination. Coffee and caramel is my new jam! I stopped in exactly at 10am and they serviced me right away and with good customer service. There is a small sitting area if you'd like to sit and eat. We found this company on Too Good To Go. Since we also love CANDY, we decided to try it. We got the Black Cherry and Red Hot Cinnamon caramels. It was 3 containers for $5, which is a super great deal. They were really good. Sorry, I don't have better pics. We ate most of them too quickly. The caramels were soft and chewy. The Black Cherry was perfectly balanced. I was impressed that for dark chocolate, it didn't have that sharp dark chocolate taste-it had a cherry undertone. The hot cinnamon was also, impressive. It tasted like a regular caramel at the beginning. Then in gradually heats up and you eat. It's you right in that spot at the back of your throat. lol. The location is in a commercial business park area across from a multi-tier parking garage, so don't get nervous. One of the things I liked is the attention to detail. The candy wrapper, packaging, information. I can't wait until it gets closer to Halloween, so I can see what new flavors they get in. Mouth Party caramels were recommended to me by a friend from Baltimore when she heard of my ravenous love for caramels. So I ordered some- sea salt, OMG, and the assortment. I'm blown away by their buttery goodness. They're firm and hold up, but not sticky. The Chesapeake flavor blew us away though! Just the right *hint* of old bay- I'd definitely add a bag of just those to a future orders. Inside was a beautiful chocolate colored paper box tied with pink satin ribbon. Inside that box was OMG...all I could hear was that Usher song as I dove into the box of caramels. ORGASMIC. That is all. Just kidding. But that's really all you need to know. I also first tried these at a wedding and for the first time ever in my life I did not eat cake at a wedding. I mean, cake is basically why I go to weddings and this night I did not give a damn about any measly piece of cake. So, before I found out that I'd be receiving caramels as a favor, I thought they were just scattered around the cake for decoration. I snagged one off the table and popped it in my mouth and just about died. It was love at first bite. I then devised several strategies for grabbing caramels throughout the night-- on my way to the bathroom, as part of a dance move, admiring the view behind the cake while grabbing a caramel. Soon my boyfriend noticed and scalded me for eating all the decorative caramels scattered around the cake. Then, we got caramels as favors on the table and I will admit I helped myself to some of my drunk friends' stash. They never knew what they were missing. Fast forward six months and I hadn't had a lot of time to think about caramels. My boyfriend received some as a Christmas gift and I relived the mouth party without all the sneaking around and it was even better. These caramels are so simple and good, with no artificial or processed ingredients. They have a perfect balance of butter and sweetness in the flavor, and the texture is chewy and soft but not sticky. The packaging is really cute and great for gift-giving. Was just here the other day with my sister for the Wine and Caramel Event. Let me just say the carmel is on point! We were able to try 3 different flavors: Sea Salt, OMG, and Original. Out of all 3, my favorite was OMG. It was so creamy and rich, and i'm not a big caramel fan, but I could snack on those all day! The staff was very friendly and very informative of their product. We were given a tour of their shop where we learn the process of creating carmel from start to finish. My favorite part of the tour was learning about Betsy, she was the machine that put the wrappers on the caramels. She was pretty old and developed a sense of character.They said Betsy has her days where sometimes she wants to work, and other days she just doesn't feel like doing anything and they have to tell her " Okay, come on Betsy." I didn't catch the whole story, but the shop was flooded at a time where it was completely destroyed on the inside They had pictures up of the flooding, which was nice because you were able to see how far they've come since the flood. They sell individual Caramels for $0.50, or you can get a bag of Caramels for $14.50 (you get a good amount of Caramels when you purchase the bag). After the wedding, I asked the bride where the caramels were from, and upon finding out that they were based out of Parkville, promptly made a field trip over to their kitchen! Although I am over 500 miles away and have never set foot in the brick and mortar store I am an absolute FAN of MouthParty. I don't remember how I originally heard about this place. Groupon? Living Social? I don't know but I've been purchasing their products online for over 4 years. All of my favorite people have received these caramels as gifts and they became hooked too. I used to order their cute pink party favor boxes as well. I'm sad they don't carry them anymore. Shipping is always quick. Reasonably priced for homemade goods. Working in the same building as Mouth Party is dangerous. One 50 cent caramel leads to another, and with creative flavors like lemon rosemary, green apple, and toasted coconut it's hard to not want to try them all. I will preface this review with a warning - I am not a big caramel guy. Usually it gets stuck in my teeth and I spend the next hour trying to floss it out. Mouth Party however had the best caramel I have ever had and none of it got stuck in my teeth. The owner is very nice and you can see how much pride she takes in her craft. Everything is made in small batches by hand using a family recipe. They are all cooked/cut/packaged on site every day keeping them very fresh. The store itself is small, as it's more of their manufacturing facility than a full storefront. You can see everything being hand made in the back. The caramel itself is delicious. Moist and chewy but never stuck to my teeth. Definitely the best I have had in my life. Try the OMG covered in chocolate in sea salt, it was a great combination! read more
