He did not quite yell at us, but he was less than polite, but he did say he wanted us to have a good experience. After we took too long on the 1st hole he asked us to keep pace and allow folks to play through. And we were too slow. But here is my gripe with the Marshall. From then on, we only ever took more than 1 swing more than par for the hole. And almost never took time to put. (I.e., on a par 4 hole, we took only 4 or 5 swings). Often we picked up the ball and moved down the course. On par 5s, we would go past the black/white post, on a par four to just short of the green to try our hand at chipping onto the green. On the 4th, a par 3, we Cleared the green, but the foursome behind us stood around starring at scenery. How long are we supposed to wait for them to play through, a few minutes, later we went on to #5 while the took pics of the mountain. Their bad, our ours? I think we were much more than courteous to those stuck behind us, and we were taking more than our share of the blame. We did not get caught again until hole 7. After which the Marshall appeared again and asked us to allow players to play through, said we were playing too slow, and should hop over to #17, which we were already doing.

This is a HUGE complex spanning MILKED of mountainous territory. We stayed at the summit condos. This location was about 3 miles away from anything else on the property. Due to this anytime anyone had something scheduled to do we had to arrange how to get people from point a to b with only one car. This proved to be a HUGE hassle. The rooms - well ours needed a BIG update. The furniture was horrid. The couch cushions flattened into nothing and you sunk in the couch anytime you tried to sit. The best thing that could have happened to any of the living room furniture was to throw it off the deck. The bed was a giant non supportive marshmallow that caused me GREAT back pain. You could literally feel the dents from where people slept on it. It was awful. The kitchen was ok as passable at best. It had the world's loudest ice maker and dishwasher I've ever heard. Both looked like they belonged in the 90s. Onto the activities. Beware you will be nickled and dimed for EVERYTHING and that is so not a joke. The one class that cost $15 was for the kids to make a gnome home. They used an old milk carton and about $2 in crafting items. I'm probably being generous saying it was $2 of crafting material total. The escape rooms didn't work right and actually broke while we were there. On and beware things shut down on Thursdays for whatever reasons. So literally we went into town and spent time there cuz there was nothing to do on the resort. The pools are ok sized but have little to no shade. What shade that was there was quickly gobbled up by seat hogs that refused to move. I'm convinced people walked in saved their seats and left. The amount of stuff on chairs did not match the number of people who were there. This made the pool extremely hot and uncomfortable on the extremely hot days when we were there. Overall we traveled with 6 kids ranging in ages from 15-22. All were bored by day 3 and looking for things in town to do. Beware of the super strong timeshare pitch that you will be contacted about. While the tour they gave was nice there's no way I'd buy a timeshare there. Would not do again.

This course is a diamond in the rough. Green fee was $40 for a Friday morning and the pro, Brad, could not have been better. Friendly, helpful, and full of tips to help us out. It's on the side of the mountain, so every shot is either up the mountain or down - which makes the day interesting. Brad even brought us lunch on #11 green so we wouldn't have to wait for him to make it and hold up our round. My one, and only, complaint is that the grass was longer than it should have been; but, in their defense that part of VA has been pounded with rain lately, so it was still wet and I'm too mushy to mow. The greens were ridiculously in good shape.

My sister and I were at the greens and we went past the white signs off to the side in the rough (still 30 yards from the putting green) we were in the wrong but it was an honest mistake we thought as long you stayed 30 yards it was okay. He was so rude and degrading. He talked to us like we had never played golf in our lives which I'm assuming is because we are two young women. He was tapping the rules and told us to read it three times as we were sitting in the cart. I was honestly in shock at how hateful and disrespectful he was. On top of that why is he acting like the course doesn't look like this?

I called Synchrony Bank back and they admitted they messed up. They wanted me to spend $80 more dollars to qualify. I didnt need anything else. I was in the store about 3 hours to buy 1 golf club. Im going to pay the card down to $100 next month and never use it in there again or anywhere else.
