Maybe I went in with too high of expectations, but I was a bit disappointed at the course conditions for it being a country club. Tee boxes were overgrown and felt more like teeing up on short rough rather than manicured, short-cut grass. Greens were slow, made worse by the recent aeration that left every putt even more slow and incredibly bumpy. And, at least from the back tees, several holes require you to hit blindly over a hill, so it's difficult to see the hole's route or where your ball ends up. At the end of the day, you're playing golf, which is great, and this is one of the few courses in Staunton, but I wouldn't return to play here again.

Or "is your wife here" when he responded yes. Saying they wanted feedback for further hotels with pools. Trying to get him in for a free breakfast (probably for a timeshare.) Room has a fridge, coffee maker, ice bucket, two beds, two sinks, shower with tub, two tables, tv, lights, and closet. There is a balcony with a table and two chairs as well. Out in the hall you have the ice maker, microwave, and vending machine. Overall, not bitter but not worth the price we paid.

Julie Dillenbeck was incredibly accommodating, patient, and kind. She met us with calm reassurance and made what could have been an overwhelming situation feel manageable and positive. The following day, she and several other instructors remembered my daughter and made a genuine effort to help her feel comfortable and encouraged. That level of attention and care does not go unnoticed. Kindness truly matters, especially when little ones are trying something new and parents are holding their breath. We are so grateful for the experience they created for our family.

I had an incident with Kathy Ballard this evening while dining at the Tavern ( restaurant on site). My niece was playing on the putting green which is located adjacent to the outdoor dining area. Several children frequently play in this area while their parents dine. Tonight Kathy came down from the pro shop to tell my niece's mother that her child could not play in the area because " the Fluvanna HS Homecoming kids being on site and ruining the area with their high heels" WTF does this have do do with a 4 year old playing? Kathy made no sense and she clearly took her anger out on an innocent 4 year old black kid. Yesterday I was at the same location and a white family had 3 children playing on the same putting green, doing cartwheels on greens. No one came to say anything to these children. I sat there for over 2 hours and watched these kids do whatever they wanted. Spring Creek Golf Club has NO diversity and they make it known that they so not welcome minorities.

Some key things to note:…read more - At 3,850 feet, the highest course in the State of Virginia - Access is only available to members, guests and registered resort guests - 50-mile views of the Shenandoah and Rockfish valleys - Surprisingly level mountaintop terrain My ears popped going up and down the mountain to the golf course. A good friend is a member, so that made me a guest. The mountain views are stunning and gorgeous. When it comes to walking, the level mountaintop terrain is true... When golfing, the hell with their level mountaintop. With their beautiful and super fast greens, the ball never stops rolling. A course like this requires precision and skill. Miss a shot or approach from the wrong angle and you can guarantee your next shot very far from the hole and in some cases, off the green. If you suck at golf like I did, you'll need lots of golf balls. Come prepared. Finding golf balls off of the rough are nearly impossible. My only gripe was that the greens were hard so approach shots didn't hold well. If you're a golfer and you're visiting Wintergreen and have the opportunity to play, take it. Bring your camera. You'll find some great views you'll want to snap.

Its a tourist town and they probably get tired of people. It just surprises me that people can be so unfriendly when we as visitors are being friendly to them. Driving range in excellent condition as well. Our 13 year grew out of his clubs. Wouldn't let him use ours, which is fine. Only $9.50 to rent clubs which I thought was an excellent price. Everything about this course was fantastic. Just down one star due to the unfriendly staff in the pro shop.
