The good: staff is super nice and helpful to a point. The views and the sound of the river. The…read morewind through the trees. The Turkeys walking around. The not good: they struggle mightily to get food served. I mean every single meal. Every one. UNSAT. They know exactly how many guests they have yet run out of food so fast during service. It's ridiculous. The cabins. Sometimes 'old for the sake of being old' just doesn't work. Modern plumbing fixtures and plumbing are not the devil. Example: I don't need to experience 100 year old bathing experience in a cabin with a brand new air conditioner. Also - don't put quilts on the beds with a sign that says don't use the quilts as they're for decoration. Lighting: pick a lane. LED or Incandescent. Using both just looks cheap. Onsite maintenance support: having the bulk of the cabins with no water is a real problem. Not having people onsite to immediately address that problem is even worse. Trash: a little trash can in the room doesn't cut it. Either put out trash bins for people to use that can be secured or have your staff collect trash daily. Key drop: if you want cabin keys returned to the office then either have an employee there before 0830 or have a key drop slot. The potential is there for this place to do so much better. That said this trip had me stay in 4 different hotels. Sylvan Dale was far and away the most expensive rate and they rank last out of last of a spot we'd revisit. Note: I don't do the trail ride or any other activities so those don't factor in to my feedback. This is strictly about accommodations and hospitality.

It was $10 for both of us to enter ($5 each), which was more than fair. The lady at the front was pleasant. The farm itself is definitely on the small side and there's not a ton of animals. But, I definitely think it's great for 5 and under to get away from the average park and get some exercise. The animals all seem well taken care of and were fun to interact with. There is a cute little play area for the kids to burn off some energy. There is quite a bit to read and explore beyond just the animals. Overall, it was a cute place and we will definitely be back.

Not…read morethat I've been in many :) fear not yogi newbies, this isn't really a "yoga" session as it is the perfect excuse to be around the cutest baby goats ever! Yes, of course there is yoga involved. But instead of focusing on the eagle pose, you focus on the fun pose that is conducive to pro-goat poses! The staff was so entertaining and nice! Our instructor did a fantastic job of leading the class and was so patient. All the while a friendly gentleman (I believe her hubby) made sure we all got some quality goat action! No one left unsatisfied that they didn't get the full run yoga experience! I went on my own because I'm a one man wolf pack. But most others went in small groups or with a friend so I imagine it's even more fun when your friends can snap photos all the while there is a goat enjoying your mat. :) Give in to your inner goat loving self and enjoy the quirk that is goat yoga! Not the greatest experience. It's been a while and I'm still annoyed, so here's the story…read more I needed a carbon fiber scba tank filled so visited the shop with high hopes. Dude looked at the tank and asked if it had a visual inspection. Nope. Not required. Just hydro every 5 years. Last test in May 2024. Dude agreed DOT doesn't require visual, but he does. Annoying, but I agreed to leave the tank overnight for his $20 visual. I mentioned it was a high pressure cylinder. Dude said yeah, looks like 4500 psi. He didn't indicate that would be a problem. No call after 2 days so went to pick up the tank. The young lady helping me wasn't rude, just markedly unfriendly. She looked at the tag and said, "OK. Just the hydro, then." "You mean the visual?" "Same test. We just call it that." It's not the same, but whatever. She looked at the tag again and said it didn't need the visual after all. Yeah, that's what I told dude. Did you want it filled? Yeah, that was the point. The tank has a gauge to show remaining psi. It was at 3600, pretty close to the pressure it was when I brought it in. Stern young woman explained it depends on their bank pressure, which I understand, but would have been nice to know when I dropped it off...or I wouldn't have left it to be filled. That'll be $54. That's ridiculous. The hydro test was $40. No. The tank has current hydro. Dude wouldn't fill the tank without doing an unnecessary visual. Oh, ok. $14. For a short fill? It depends on our bank pressure...

I noticed she was limping the second I picked her up…read more Took her straight to the vet and 2 grand later, after a month in a cast, she was finally cleared to run/jump/play on it normally again. Staff checked cameras and saw the moment it happened; Her toe caught in the small gap between two concrete slabs on the ground a few days prior to me picking her up. Which means...she had a broken toe for a few days and it went unnoticed. They offered me 20% off our next visit. We board with our trainer now at Peak K-9 .
