I'm pretty sure it was built in the 1950's so you're definetly stepping back in time. Everything looks original and retro , which I love! Unfortunately our lane broke down but the staff quickly moved us to a different lane. Staff was super super friendly , you could tell that they were knowledgeable and had respect and passion for the sport. They even were cheering on my boyfriend every time he had a good throw. They made you feel at home! Will 100% be visiting again when we are in the area!

The set up is nice. The bumpers automatically come up for players who need them. The service was fine; they appeared short staffed but our wait time for snacks and check in not too chaotic or long. Pricing probably on the higher end for front royal but given the technology used it's a great value in my opinion. Only possible negative (maybe positive for others) is that there's a smoking room so when you open the door smoke comes into the main alley. There was also an arcade room but it appeared closed during our visit. Will return. Large parking lot.

It is hard to be impressed by a bowling ally yet Royal family hit the mark and I'm going to tell…read moreyou why. The biggest thing that struck me when I walked in for a family birthday party was how clean the facility was. It is clearly very well managed. The day was busy and lots of customers. The food was quite good and exceeded my expectations! The bowling game screen effects were fun and could be changed to suit the games mood. These little things go a long way. When I say clean...the bathrooms are checked hourly, the kitchen which you can see from the lanes is perfectly clean no extra grease falling off the hood or back splash. Sodas fountain is clean no visible stuck residue. And then the shoe rental area, lanes, and balls are all sanitized between customers. Just impressed me. Even the arcade...which you expect to be grimy was really clean. They set a new standard of expectation for me. I do want to mention the music because another customer did...they okay modern top 40 so you get what you get. I think this is fair since a good number of people are adults. Playing Barney all day would be old. I did no hear any Inappropriate language...I have no idea if they asked them to play something else but we did not find it inappropriate. We expect to go and play again.

I was having a genuinely amazing time bowling with friends. Smooth lanes, good vibes, and what felt like the start of a fun night out. But then the clock struck the end of our game... and the energy in the building flipped real quick. As we were wrapping up -- casually clearing pins and rolling the remaining bowling balls back like anyone would -- we were approached by a family who claimed they worked there. A husband, wife, and their son, all of whom were bowling themselves. What followed was an unnecessary, condescending lecture that left us all confused and honestly a little disrespected. It's one thing to be corrected -- it's another to be treated like a nuisance when you're literally just finishing your hour and doing no harm. If they do work there, maybe they should be taught how to speak to paying customers without acting like the place belongs only to them. And let's not ignore the food situation. I ordered donut holes. Simple, right? Should be quick. But I waited way longer than necessary. No apology, no update -- just cold indifference from the staff. At one point, the place felt almost unstaffed, and when you finally do get someone's attention, you're met with short replies and annoyed faces. I wanted to love this place. I was ready to tell everyone Galaxy Strikes was a hidden gem in Warrenton. But the way it ended? Left a bad taste in my mouth -- and not just because of the stale service. Bowling might be solid, but the people? That's what turns strikes into straight-up gutter balls.

I never leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to make me write my first one…read more I've always enjoyed visiting Northside Lanes, but my most recent trip was disappointing due to poor customer service. I understand that we arrived close to closing time (40 minutes before closing), but that shouldn't be an excuse for rudeness. First, we tried to order from the snack bar around 9:26 PM, not realizing it closes at 9 PM instead of 10 PM. Instead of politely informing us, the female employee responded with unnecessary attitude, waving her hand dismissively and saying, "Nahhh, we're closed." Then, when our game automatically ended at 10 PM--before we finished our last frames--we noticed another group still playing. When I asked why, I was told that "You have to request an extension anytime throughout the day if you want to finish your frames before closing". This was confusing because, in all my visits--both day and night--I've never had to " request an extension" to finish my frames (rows). When I asked for clarification-meaning if I have to ask for an extension when it comes close to closing, the employee kept contradicting herself, and said "No, anytime throughout the day" then insisting that you don't have request, it's only when it comes close to closing time. I completely understand that employees want to go home on time, but customer service still matters. A little courtesy goes a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression, and I hope management addresses both the inconsistencies in their policies and the attitude of some staff members. Our family night didn't end as fun as we had hoped.

My daughter and I had to fix the large Connect 4 game in order to play the game. It is a shame what has happened to this place.
