After several positive experiences with Mountain Valley Plumbing, I'm saddened to leave this review. They responded quickly and came out within a reasonable timeframe, but that's where the positives end. The Yelp project included the detail that it was a tankless water heater, but they showed up unprepared and then complained to my wife that no one told them it was tankless. The details were in the original project listing that they responded to, so no excuse there. They left and came back. When they returned, they did a flush of the tankless water system which took less than an hour and charged my wife $450. This is an insane rate for a simple procedure. A simple hourly rate of maybe $200 would've been acceptable. They told her they'd email me a receipt with the details, but they never did which only makes me question things more. Like I said, I had great experiences in the past. They installed my water softener over 3 years ago and they've done service for me in the past at reasonable rates. This time was unprofessional, unreasonable, and unacceptable. I won't call Mountain Valley Plumbing again after this experience. read more

We had a drain disaster; garbage disposal decided to quit working and everything started flooding. We called a few places, but these guys were the only ones who were able to come out when we called. They got there pretty quickly, all things considered. They were super professional, extremely friendly and funny (always a bonus). The prices are affordable and I absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks. If you have any issues, hit them up! read more

Two gentlemen showed up to my place and repaired my heater. They explained every single thing that they were doing, what needed to get done to repair it and cleaned up a lot soot. They double checked my stove for gas leaks and assured me that it was working appropriately. Now these two gentlemen were so kind, as soon as they walked through my door, I fainted and they caught me before I hit the floor. They made sure I was okay and did not leave my side until I told them I was okay and did not require an ambulance. Their customer service is second to none! Their work van was in front of me and we witnessed a medical emergency. Passenger door flew open before the van could stop and one guy was out to help. These guys tended to the injured party while I called 911. I can't say anything about their plumbing, but having the compassion and integrity to respond to a medical emergency with a level head proves their character values. read more

All I can say ,is that they are the first one to respond to my project inquiry and the ones that seemed to have given me the best quote out of 4 that responded. Had him scheduled to come out today for a non emergency project and with the overnight freeze we had a pipe burst. Water started dripping from the attic into a room early Friday. Valley Air came in the afternoon and reported it was not the AC but a burst hot water line. They turned the hot water off to stop the leak. Mountain Valley came next day and replaced the old pex line with an aqua pex. They were very efficient and got the job done in 1.5 hours. read more

hired them for shower valve replacement in both bathrooms and to snake the drain of one tub. charged me $100 over quoted price and didn't snake the drain because they didn't have a drain on them so they had to come back the following week. a couple of weeks later, the shower valves in the one bathroom still weren't working probably, one of the new handles stripped off, so we called them back to fix the job we paid for. charged us another $125 for a job we already paid for for "labor". Our garbage disposal was leaking and I needed someone who could come ASAP. Matt had a same day appt. He called me to apologize that he got held on another job and asked to reschedule to the next day. I agreed. He then called later and said he had freed an employee up and would send him even though it cost him overtime to complete my job and didn't charge me extra. Bryce did a excellent job. Was efficient, very quick, answered all my questions and cleaned up his work area very well. I am very happy with Mountain Valley and will use them again and also highly recommend them. read more
