When I asked about another brand, there was no hesitation on his part. I agreed with the price estimate and then came the moment that I was dreading --- When can you do it? Tony replied that he had a job that morning BUT he would be able to do it today!!! Heck yeah! Timing is everything. The family was not liking the cold showers, even with the hot weather. Tony was the consummate professional during the installation process with a very friendly attitude. Nothing bothered him. He fully answered all questions I asked. When I said an OLD heater, Tony confirmed that the code 0140 corresponded to the year and week of manufacture: 2001, week 40. 25 years ago.! Draining the heater turned out to be a big issue. A thick calcium deposit had formed on the bottom of the tank and it took awhile to drain the tank. But Tony handled it as the professional he is. There's a hole in the roof, the…read moreceiling is caving in, the pipes are splitting, there's black mold in our bathroom, the "Static Pressure" of our HVAC unit is too high and we need new ducting, vents and a plenum of some sort installed... and to top it off, they just hit her for $1500 to replace the HVAC blower motor and install a surge protector! That's AFTER the monthly service we pay for. These vultures were trying to sell us in excess of $40k worth of repairs to a house that didn't need it! The house was built in 92 - it's in great shape. I knocked down the tile in the bathroom to see the "black mold and burst pipe" they were trying to sell us on. OOpsy! Just some water seeping up into the drywall from a failed seal at the tub and the black mold? Just some rotten wood. I checked, the "Static Pressure" they tried to sell us on twice now is actually within spec. They kinda lied about that one. The burst pipe and the hole in the roof? Pure BS. A drier vent is missing it's cap and the paint is peeling off of the second bathroom ceiling because someone did a crummy paint job. They weren't even near each other! You say your people aren't commissioned - I call Bull! BTW - we never got an itemized receipt for the $1500 HVAC job. I wonder why? I wonder how you young men sleep at night. I really do. I looked up reviews first and was pretty worried. When the gentleman showed up at my door he was on time within the time frame, very professional and was extremely kind to my dog which I was going to lock up to give him room to work but he had his own dogs so he was very friendly with my pup. He then checked the sink and immediately knew he had to snake it so he got his tools from his truck and ran the hot water + snake at the same time and ran the entire length all the way to the street just to make sure it all got cleared and voila! It was cleared and when he pulled out it he showed me there was dried up grease clogging up the pipe at the very end which a little bit came back out when he pulled the snake out. Overall my experience was extremely professional and extremely kind. I cannot possibly expect a better service from any company. I am very happy with the service I received!! Said I have the parts and the total would be $260. I just said the parts were still under warranty. He said "the labor is not the labor is not the labor is not. He said they didn't have anybody else. Then he said we'll send somebody else out then. No one ever came. He knew nobody was going to come. But that's OK. I dodged a bullet because they have a one star rating and that's the reason. Thank goodness I went with Fred & Sons plumbing. He came out the next day to replace my water heater with a new one. He explained the water heater I had was old and he could not get the parts for that water heater any longer. My water heater was 12 years old and the warranty was going to end in two months. Thank goodness, he explained all that to me and we just went with the new water heater..

This 5-star review is for Shawna and Curtis…read more Shawna is the office manager and has been exceptionally kind and informative each time we have spoken. My house needed the main-line unclogged, and in addition, we needed the shower pan in our master bathroom looked at. Shawna told me she would call me back in 5 minutes and she did exactly that, got us scheduled and told us to never hesitate to reach back out if we needed anything in the meantime. Curtis was the technician that showed up, got our main-line cleared and also was able to fix our shower pan issue as well. The pan had too much head pressure which was causing the drainage system to suck in air and clog the drains. He had it fixed in about 5 minutes. We were so happy with that fix we asked them to replace our hot water heater, got a quote for $2400 which included all the proper certifications and inspections. We set up an appointment for the following week and Curtis, along with another gentleman, got it done in about 2 hours. They also repaired a few of our water valves in our laundry room before leaving. All in all, it was a great experience this time around. My father previously had a bad experience with Stan's, but we couldn't be happier this time thanks to Shawna, Curtis and the gentleman that helped Curtis as well!

I asked for a quote to replace all the lateral plumbing in my attic. Not whole home. Just the attics. I was quoted 12500.00. A quick run through AI showed the materials cost at 1000-1500. I even gave them 2500 just to be nice. That means 10000 in labor cost for a 2-3 day job. When I asked the contractor about the materials cost specifically he could not even give me a list. How can you calculate a quote without knowing labor cost or materials cost? I found a reputable plumber to do the job for a fair price. Unfortunately, most of these businesses don't want to do these jobs so they way overbid them in hopes people don't look into it and just get it done. And most of the time these are people in dire straights due to a major leak etc.
