We have been very blessed to have found Mountain Valley. When you walk in the door you feel the warmth from Mrs. Carolyn (director) and Mrs. Diana (Assist. Director). All the staff and teachers make you feel like part of the family. The owner Carolyn takes the teachers recommendations in high regard and as parents can not thank her enough. We have a 2yr old autistic child who now turned 3yr who needed a little bit more love, guidance and structure. Mrs. Carmen, Mrs. Monica and Mrs. Virginie opened their arms and hearts from the very beginning. My son was not able to stay with anyone but with us. He was having a hard time interacting with other children and always wanted to be alone. His teachers have formed a great foundation with all their children from the start. My son now is interacting, becoming creative and socializing with others, he's excited everyday and can not wait to go to school. They have made a great impact on our lives. These teachers are angels in our eyes. We will need a lifetime to thank them for all their hard work and blessings they have given our family. Our 1yr old daughter now attends Mountain Valley, we can see the interaction and the direction the children are given everyday. She has learned so much and loves to do crafts. Ms Melissa, Heydy and Abi always greet you with a smile and are so excited to tell you about your child's day. All the teachers make learning fun and we are all a team in forming each child's foundation. They deserve a 10 star rating in our book. Avoid at all costs. I thought this would be a nice place to take my children but quickly started to realize that the teachers yelled at the older kids grab them and treat them extremely poorly additionally I walked in one day at 9:10 I thought the cutoff drop off time was 930 so in all honesty it was an honest mistake being 10 minutes late they told me I couldn't bring my daughter in there was no compassion there was no careing there was no hey just this one time but hey moving forward this is the rules it was a hard no looked at me straight in the eyes like I was crazy that kind of lack of empathy is the kind of lack of empathy that is watching these children every day proceed with caution. After writing this review retaliation was invoked upon myself and children and information about my child was given out to a third-party with no legal rights in the situation. I will be reaching out to the Texas health and human services and the licensing department with the state of Texas in regards to this institution I would stay far away from here the fact that they went to such means after this review was posted to retaliate on my family is absurd. read more

Do not recommend this place. Has some nice teachers and some not so nice. Some are really not qualified and cant physically get out of a chair so she sits all day. All day. Have on video her jerking a child who was crying off the floor by his arm. Then squeezing him so tight. Not ours but definitwly scary to watch. The front page message and the message about being christian got us sold. Definitely not a christian place. The director lied to me directĺy. The other grades might be ok but do not take the pre k class the woman is just not qualified amd cant get up from her chair. I have video of how she treats children. My son has been going here for a year! I love how friendly the staff is and how clean the classrooms are. I highly recommend MVCDC to everyone. Bonus- they have cameras you can watch anytime during the day, and they document all food, sleep, activities, diapers thru an app which i can see In real time. Love being able to see/know what my son is doing at school! read more

The toddler room is the absolute worst child care I have ever had. Kids are not watched closely at all. They climb on the small table and don't even get noticed. Once they do notice they will pull kids down by one arm and show all kids of frustration. Once the main teacher Melissa got mad and yanked a toy out of my daughters hand and threw it across the room. We have brought up all of these bad situations to the director and nothing has changed. What's even worse is the teachers know they are on camera and still do these things. You would think with a camera being in the room they would be more hesitant to do these things. The room has a blind spot where they like to put the kids when they get into trouble as well. I plan to take further action since the leadership team won't make changes. It's unbelievable they would allow kids to be treated this way! read more

My son has been attending this school since he was 7 weeks old. He's 3 now. We have been very happy with his care and learning here.

If I could give zero stars I would. Thank goodness for the cameras because that is how we saw my 12 month grandson be strapped into a little wooden chair so he would not bother the caregiver. She did not like him crawling after her all the time. We saw other children come pull him over and only by the grace of God did he not get hurt. They put him in a highchair and leave him there sometimes for more than 1/2 an hour. He cried all day and never played with toys. We took him to another daycare and on his very first day they sent pictures of him smiling and playing. Mountain Valley kept saying we were the problem as to why my grandson was not adapting. I say it was from a cold, uncaring staff that was purely there as a means to a paycheck. I emailed the director with my concerns and other concerns I had from what I saw on camera of the treatment other children received. She never responded. These people have no business being in the business of children. read more

I DO NOT recommend this place at all. It is NOT OKAY that some of the staff drinks while caring for our children and tries to pass it off as grape juice. I've caught them & that's exactly why I took them out. For the price, I expect some decency. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN THERE!!!! read more
