After moving to Fort Worth I stayed at home with my son one more year until I was informed that my…read morework from home position would be moving back into the office in CA and I needed to find child care quick! My husband and I toured another facility and weren't wowed and left sort of anxious because as parents of one child and one that I had watched from day one we wanted something MORE substantial for our kiddo. On a whim I told my husband that we should go look at the KinderCare down the street from our house and I'm so glad we did. Upon entry Ms. Dawn (the center's director) and Ms. Brittany (the assistant director) made us feel welcomed and were warm and friendly. Ms. Dawn reminded me of my momma. Which was a good thing because my son loves his grandmomma! The center is clean and brightly lit and was nice and cool which spoke volumes. The rooms are clean and the toys and books are gently used but without looking shabby (this was an issue for me at the other center as it looked drab and sort of unkempt). Each teacher is friendly and my son's first teacher Ms. Reema is a doll. From the moment we met we felt right at ease with her and my son took a liking to her as well. We were "sad" when he transitioned from her room to his current teachers room but Ms. Janeen is a dream as well, he is learning so much and each day holds something new for him to tell us when we pick him up. Each teacher has their own teaching style and way of running the classroom but they always encourage parents to feel free to check in and with the new KinderCare app it's easy for me to see how much my son is enjoying being there. This was especially comforting to me as in the first week I was having just as much issue with leaving my kiddo at a new place as he was. Ms. Dawn encouraged me to call and check in on him whenever I needed and would patch me through right into his room. They provide fun activities along with their regular teaching courses weekly for a nominal fee and my son has participated and always enjoys it. The outdoor play areas have great toys for them to climb on and play with and are fenced in and secure. There is breakfast, snack and lunch provided and they are healthy and NUT free. For parents of children who have nut allergies this is important, there is also no outside food allowed in. I hope my review helps parents looking for childcare for their little ones.

Our soon to be 4 year old son has been attending KinderCare on Oakmont way for the past 6 months or…read moreso and it has been an absolute joy and relief. Initially, our 4 year old son was enrolled in a different pre school program that ultimately didn't suit his needs. After a long and arduous process, KinderCare was recommended to us by one of my fellow nurses. For what seemed like a month, our son continued to struggle with his deep separation anxiety (I'm talking about the kicking and screaming kind.) There were many times I cried in my car after dropping him off, feeling like the worst and most unprepared parent. Never once did any of the teachers or staff make me feel like there was "something wrong" and they always continued to be supportive and provided active listening. They provided positive feedback and tips to try at home with our son. Slowly but surely we started to see the positive change in our son. Then one day, success!! not only did our son thrive developmentally but his social angst was completely gone. Now, every morning I drop off my son and I see him bolt through the doors and rush over to his friends with a beaming smile. I cant express enough the gratitude we feel having found this school. They go above and beyond everyday for the children who enter their doors and the love is always felt. They encompass the core of what at times seems missing in caregiving. It is their compassion, tutelage, sincerity, and love that keeps us loyal to this school.

I would be wary of working here and even enrolling your kids here…read more I Worked here for a few months and it was nice at first but that quickly shattered. The daycare itself is very old and they DO NOT clean up, they say they have a cleaning crew but they don't sweep, mop or sanitize, they only take out the trash. If you want to mop yourself, there's never any cleaning supplies to do so. Pastor Nigel is passive aggressive, and will make manager decisions, but when you ask him about it he couldn't be bothered to indulge, he will redirect you to someone else in charge. He is too CHEAP to hire subs, and since teachers call out everyday, on top of them never wanting to hire new people, it often results in the remaining teachers to be out of ratio or change their entire schedule. It's clear to me that Nigel doesn't care about the daycare that's attached to his church. Speaking of teachers, even when they do rarely hire someone else, they ALWAYS hire openers, which left me and one other person to be closers, which often left me out of Ratio. They will also look for ways to terminate you. They fired me because I missed a lot of days of work, which is understandable, but there is a teacher currently working there who literally DISLOCATED a child's arm, and now she's acting like Assistant Director. The daycare itself is old and run down and desperately due for an upgrade. The rooms are too small, it gets too cold/hot, and it's also just really dirty in general. The only reason this place gets 3 stars is because of the TEACHERS. They're some great people and I enjoyed working with them. Everything else is a bummer and it's no wonder they go through teachers so easily.
