Picked up from piggy plaza (Marketplace) in Davis, we ordered from a tablet at home. I hadn't noticed this location as it's been there (according to an employee) about a month. We had plans to cook at home but pizza prevailed. I dig the flavors of this pizza. Brian said it- there are a number of pizzas in Davis but this stuff has its own style. The crust is indeed ideal as it's not as bready as Woodstock's but it is present. Social distance circles are present, however it's pretty quiet inside so distancing is trivial. Looks like there are some flat screen monitors that could be great for watching sports when that time returns. They aren't huge TVs and that may be because those aren't main draws. As of now, I'll pick up a pie or two and jam home to a bigger TV. Heck, football is on. So when the time returns, I'd like to come back for a pie and a game. Maybe a beer. Heck, maybe even a salad...when the salad bar returns. It's on a strip of the mall that has popular businesses like Dos Coyotes, Peet's and Gong Cha. Very impressed with the pizza! There's many spots to get tasty pizza in Davis but out of all of them this might be my new favorite because the crust is perfect to me. It was also her 21st birthday so I was in charge of taking care of her while she drank. By the end of the day, I took her back to her apartment and ordered her a pizza. She asked for "The Everest" made with white sauce. So obviously I went ahead and ordered it. It said that our pizza would be delivered in an hour. It took an hour and a half, but I'm assuming because it was picnic day and all 75,000 people were looking for food. No big deal, she was asleep during the time I ordered it so it wasn't like the delivery time was that important to us. When the pizza arrived, I brought it inside and opened it up. The thing that jumped out to us immediately was the pizza not having white sauce on it. When we bit into the pizza we found it was cold. There shouldn't have been any reason why the pizza arrived cold, as the apartment was less than a mile away. Normally I would go pick it up myself but with the Davis picnic day traffic, as well as me taking care of my drunk friend, pickup wasn't an opportune choice. With all that being said, we still ate the pizza and enjoyed every second of it. Even cold and missing the white sauce we ordered, it still tasted good. I would have been a lot more upset if I hadn't found a coupon online that dropped the price by $10. If you like good pizza, I'd go ahead and give Mountain Mikes a shot. So it's dry but cheesy and greasy. The Mt Veggiemore pizza is really an artichoke pizza and that's okay. The noise is horrible. I think it must be fans or vents over the ovens.
