I love it here simply because when I travel, I want my stay to be affordable but safe. I don't typically splurge on stays since I am really only there to sleep safely at night. This is the perfect place for someone like me who wants to be safe at night but doesn't want to spend a ton of money on a hotel. The hotel appears to be old and the rooms aren't of the best quality so if you're someone who likes to spend time in the hotel, this just isn't the place for you! The service was amazing and they make you feel like family the second you check in. The breakfast is nice and there's a good variety or options. The location is central to a lot of food and gas. Me and several other American Legion Riders spent a night there on our three day motorcycle ride. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice and clean. Only issue was making waffles for breakfast as they did not provide the spray and several of us had a hard time removing our waffles. I don't know about this hotel. I do have 2 small dogs with me and booked for 3 nights. Housekeeping came once and told them to come back later. We went out about 10:30 am and back around 7 pm. We left the room long enough for them to clean but never did. There is a strong odor in the entire room and the pillows, you can even smell the odor in the hallway, dirty flooring, smelly toilet. Coffee machine in the restroom ? Terrible air and I just couldn't sleep. I checked the reviews before I booked it and not sure where the reviews are from. We won't be back!!! It's 2 am that I'm typing this message because I can't sleep with the smelly pillows. Awful!!! read more

We were just passing through North Carolina on our road trip back home to Texas when we decided to stop and rest for the day, I happen to come across this little gem. We love it here, I was skeptical to book the room at first but we are super glad we did! Very clean, nice employees, breakfast was what they said it was too be, fully stocked with plenty for everyone. And the water system they use here, A+, 5's, my hair has never been super shiny & manageable, the rooms very clean. This is a nice little hotel convenient to Blue Ridge Mountains of NC and SC. We are staying here for a wedding that was in nearby Travelers Rest, SC (yes, I am writing this review from the hotel room). Spacious suite with striped carpeting. The room was a little on the humid side even though the outdoor weather was quite dry. The main bedroom lacks good lighting but the living room has a ceiling fan with light fixtures. Old CRT TV. Didn't get any free wifi in our room and I am not sure if the hotel offers it. There is a free-to-use desktop PC in the lobby. Hot breakfast is served in the morning but haven't had that yet (I will when I wake up). Would I stay here again? Probably. Not much else in the area and this place is probably among the best of the economy hotels nearby. The Mountain Lodge is right next door for a little more per night. Same owners (I believe) but the The Mountain Lodge must have a few more perks or be newer (not sure -- only speculating). Probably couldn't go wrong with either hotel. We only stayed one night on the way to the beach, but I thought this was a really nice hotel. The room was clean and quite bigger for having two beds. The entire room was updated in a modern way. The beds were comfortable. I found the continual breakfast to be better then other hotels, but still missing a few things. They didn't have any milk, which with a toddler and cereal offered is a huge problem. The egg sandwich offered was really good, my husband enjoyed the waffle, and my two year was happy with it as well. I would suggest offering orange juice and having milk and/or milk alternatives to your breakfast. The biggest problem I had with the whole stay was the wi-fi. For paying as much as we did for this room, they really need to improve the wi-fi. This was a nice stay for a night and I would think about staying here again if the price was cheaper. read more

Stayed here for a wedding so we had about 18 rooms. They had no hospitality the first two days and then the very last night someone else was working and he was great! Very helpful and considerate. It was also dirty, my first night I went to get in bed and found a stain and a hair in the bed and when I told the front desk they did not apologize for the dirty room I was given she just said "yeah we can get those sheets changed for you". It also wasn't a super cheap place for them to be so incompetent. On top of it they told the bride that they weren't pet friendly when we were all booking so the bride and groom booked another hotel and then when we arrived there were tons of dogs staying there. If you can pay an extra $25 dollars to stay at a Marriott or holiday inn - do it. read more

We stayed here for one night, on our way back home from Florida. Excellent value. Very reasonable rates, and only $25 for our dog. Plenty of places to walk him. Our room was clean and comfortable, and there was free wi-fi. It was quiet at night, too. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Getting to the inn was very easy, right off I-26. As an extra bonus, there are several restaurants nearby (including a Zaxby's within walking distance). We ate at a good Thai restaurant half mile away. There's also a large Ingles grocery nearby. We will DEFINITELY stay here again when we come through this area. read more

I just wish they had a pool while I was staying instead of me having to go to the hotel next door just to go swimming. For the price, this was not a bad spot to stay. It was in need of updating in a few places, but it was clean and well maintained overall. I docked a star for two reasons: first, it had extremely glitchy wifi (my room would not pick up wifi at all, but another member of our party had wifi that was just OK). Second, when the person staying next to us turned on their jacuzzi, the water was so loud my son could not sleep! That type of thing does not usually bother me, but this was ridiculously loud. We couldn't even hear the TV at all over the sound of the water. Fortunately, this was a short lived problem since they turned off the water after 20 minutes or so. I might stay here again, but definitely wouldn't want a room with a jacuzzi read more

We stayed here a couple years ago and again last night. I am impressed with how much better it's gotten. I am pretty sure they have renovated the rooms (at least the one we were in, 101). There is a microwave and a fridge, the room is spacious and feels clean. The breakfast was better than at the airport sister hotel, with a couple warm breakfast items. They allow pets, which was a life saver during our move to Florida from Ohio. Overall a great stay. We will definitely choose this location over the airport location in the future. read more

This place has plenty of great reviews on tripadvisor and orbitz, but I figured I'd throw one out here for them. Stayed here for just one night during a quick weekend visit to Biltmore & DuPont. The place is super easy to find, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The decor is a little bit older, but I consider this an excellent "value" stay. For a chunk less than the cost of a stay at a run-of-the-mill chain hotel, you can get a king "suite" with separate sitting area, free wi-fi, and a full breakfast. Can't beat that. The hotel was pretty full (some travelling girls' softball team I think), but super quiet....and more importantly, clean everywhere. read more

I always stay here when visiting asheville. It is not a far drive to the asheville area from this hotel. I travel with my dog and this is the best and cheapest priced place to stay. There is a huge empty lot in front of the hotel that the dog loves to sniff around every time we are here. Rooms are big and clean. The area is nice and quiet, as the hotel sits a ways off from the road. Feels very country out here at this place, I love it. read more

Mountain Inn is very conveniently located for those in Flat Rock/Hendersonville for visiting or taking in performances done at either FR Playhouse location. This hotel is quite nice... very clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful... we had a flat tire problem en route, & the hotel desk clerk helped with a referral to a local dealer she used, Turned out he could not help because he was not an "authorized dealer" for my brand tire so he told me what he could do... and ALSO gave me a referral to another dealer who could help as an authorized dealer! Great people going the extra mile to help after a frustrating morning! The breakfast area has coffee, fruit, & tea available almost all hours (if not all). I cannot say when the hotel was last renovated, but it did not seem "worn and tattered" like many in its price range are. Our accommodations looked brand new... fridge, microwave, & coffeemaker (also hair dryer, iron & ironing board) in the suite, cable TVs (new flatscreens) in both the bedroom and the sitting area which had a sofa bed and easy chair. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious. As another review stated: the breakfast served at Mountain Inn is good and surpasses the breakfast offering at another name-brand chain in the same price range. Fresh hot waffle maker offers a tempting morning treat not even available daily at home! In fact, it was a bad breakfast experience in the Hendersonville area that led us to give Mountain Inn a try in the first place. Conveniently located just off I-26 at Upward Road Exit... well off the highway assures no road noise to disturb a good night's sleep. There is a Zaxby's right there as well if you want a decent quick lunch in a hurry when rushing to get to a matinee at FRP. read more

A friend and I stayed here while attending a conference in Mills River. I selected this hotel based on reviews & overall ratings. The facility was conveniently located next to the interstate and was about $100 cheaper than rooms near the airport. The hotel was clean and quiet. No pool, but that was not a priority for this trip. We appreciated the in room refrigerator. Breakfast was included in the price. Lots of restaurants nearby. Overall, a great value. I would come here again. read more

I am a frequent business traveler and stayed in the Inn for an extended stay for several months. I have never been treated better by an entire hotel staff! From the Housekeeping Staff to the Management, they do an excellent job of making you feel right at home. This place is great at delivering Top Shelf Southern Hospitality and I recommend them to anyone traveling through this area. The rooms are generous in size and very well maintained. The location is right off I26, so traveling to and from the hotel is very convenient. It's become one of my favorite stops while working in this area. read more

Most of the reviews here are very favorable and in general, they are correct. It was clean, the staff was helpful, the breakfast was good, etc. We just had one big problem, which I am surprised no else mentioned. Maybe it was just specific to our room, but I talked with some others in our group who were using this hotel and they experienced the same problem. The sound insulation in our room (#125) was really poor. We could hear every toilet flush, tank filling, and shower running in nearby rooms, and it was really loud! The people in the room next door carried on a normal conversation and we could hear every word. The floor above us creaked so badly that we were awakened both days by the person just normally moving about the room. We liked every other aspect of this hotel, but we did not sleep well. read more

Stayed here before on two other occasions and was fine. This time our room was never made up. Toilet was stuffed and waited 5 hours on Sunday June 14, 2015 to get it fixed. Went to front desk to complain and was told by a young guy that he was the supervisor and they have a full house and will get to it when they can. Last time we stay here.
