The View was opened inside the historic, charming Echo Mountain Inn in 2020 and what a spectacular addition! I've visited Echo mountain Inn three times with my husband but this is the first time we've eaten at the View. It was so good we ate there for dinner two nights in a row! You do need to make a reservation, but they have availability for us the day prior. The dining room is surrounded with windows on two sides and gives you a gorgeous view of the mountain. The service was good, our waitress was very nice. The food is delicious. The first night we had a huge serving of truffles fries, local Trout with mushroom risotto, and for dessert Cranberry cake and chocolate pot de Creme. Everything was cooked perfectly and at an appropriate temperature. The truffle fries and aioli were some of the best I've ever had, we could have eaten a double serving of the creamy savory risotto and the Creme de pot was smooth and silky! The second night we had a caprese salad, Beet salad, a grilled ribeye, a salted caramel Creme brulee and another chocolate pot de Creme. Both of the salads were beautiful, fresh and delicious but we both liked the Beet salad slightly better. The ribeye was good, not great. The Creme brulee had a good taste, but the texture was thinner than normal, more like pudding than a custard. We will definitely eat here again! Rating from F to A+++ it gets an A++ just because of the steak and Creme brulee.

We stayed one night. It was nice. Reasonably comfortable. Affordable. Reasonably clean. The bed was nice as were linens. Good but not great would be my read for the room. Breakfast was adequate but without culinary pretension (bacon, egg, hashbrown casserole) and some pastry, cereal, baked good and so on. Not plentiful but not sparse. Solid rating. Solid establishment.

Echo Mountain is a delightful place to stay. We went on a quick weekend trip and wanted to visit Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. This was only about 30 minutes outside of Asheville. The building preserves some of its original charm with a welcoming stone entrance and enticing shared spaces downstairs. Staff was friendly during our one night stay. The building doesn't have an elevator, but we were on the second floor and it wasn't an issue for us. Our room was clean very inviting. I appreciated the hardwood floors and fireplace. There was a view of mountains from our room which was nice. The only thing we didn't like was that the bathroom was a little small, but that's to be expected of an older building. Also, the towels, were really rough. They could have used some fabric softener. The mattress was comfortable and I wish the pillows were a little more firm, but I still got good sleep. After checking in, we went back out. When we returned, we did see a small black bear in the parking lot as we were pulling in, but he ran when he saw our headlights. One of the best parts of our stay was breakfast. I read some reviews complaining about food, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were there on a Sunday morning which is a day they have a little more than just a continental breakfast. There's fresh cream and milk which made a really good cup of coffee. There was fresh fruit, quiche, bacon, sausage, and a really yummy berry dish. All ingredients seemed to be locally sourced and tasted really fresh. My husband loved the muffins. Towards the end of breakfast, he asked if there were any more and they said no, but they did make a fresh batch of orange cranberry which were ready about 15 minutes later. He really appreciated them doing that for him. After breakfast, I did some reading in the sunroom which is absolutely gorgeous and has a nice view of the mountains. I never got to enjoy the pool or bocce ball, but would like to stay multiple nights next time. When you visit drive up to Jump Off Rock for some spectacular views that are better than some Blue Ridge Parkway lookouts. This is a great, cozy, private place to stay with a delicious weekend breakfast if you want to get away from it all.

Beautiful views, friendly hosts, wonderful food! We wanted to get away from the heat near the coast, and decided to take a trip to the mountains. We stumbled across this hidden gem of a bed and breakfast online. The Echo Mountain Inn was the perfect choice. The main building was built in 1896 and has been lovingly maintained over the past century. The entire inside is filled with antique furnishings, floor to ceiling, wall to wall. We could have spent days just exploring inside. The grounds are filled with more varieties of trees and flowers than we could count on a weekend. We can't say enough about how beautiful it was there. Our room was called the blue ridge room. The four poster bed and the antique dressing table are just a few of the surprises, the biggest was an original fireplace! Just awesome! But the cherry on top of this great place was the home cooked buffet breakfast, served in the coolest dining room, with an abundance of windows overlooking the blue ridge mountains. Talk about an idyllic setting for a great meal to start your day. Not to mention the food, which beats most hotels we have stayed at, hands down! The inn is in the perfect location to explore the mountains for a weekend. Close to the quaint but bustling town of Hendersonville, and also to the many sights and activities the mountains have to offer. We felt more welcome and at home than we ever have anywhere we have stayed. If you get the chance to stay at the Echo Mountain Inn, do not hesitate! You will not be disappointed, we certainly weren't!

It was such a great experience that I would recommend traveling to Hendersonville just to stay at the Elizabeth Leigh and eat at the restaurants on Main St. It's a very relaxing and classy small town. Main St. is a short 10 minute walk from the inn. When I walked into the inn, I was blown away by the elegant antique decor. The pictures online just don't do it justice. I stayed in the Blue Room. It had a large comfortable bed, two chairs, loveseat, wardrobe, and a few other various decor items. All the colors and patterns went together flawlessly. The bathroom was incredible. It had gold and white accents, but still went really well with the blue theme. There were plenty of fresh high quality thick white towels neatly rolled in a basket. The shower had an adjustable head. Water stayed warm the whole time despite showering at the same time as other guests. Breakfast was southern, filling, elegantly served, and tasted amazing. The first breakfast was eggs, bacon, and thick French toast. The next was a cream cheese, berries, and French toast casserole or 'hot dish' depending on where you're from. There was complimentary bottled water, wine, ice cream, homemade white chocolate macadamia cookies, homemade pound cake (which was wonderful), and beer. Now possibly the most enjoyable part, the rest of the property. The inn has a wraparound porch with big white rocking chairs that overlook the yard and the little street in front of the house. The backyard has a fountain, swing in front of a little waterfall pond, and corner area with seating. There are multiple places to have private conversations with your loved one(s). If you get the opportunity, getting to know the owner Cindy and her husband Mike will be the best part of your stay. The inn is an expression of Cindy and her dream to give guests a relaxing, but high quality environment to experience genuine southern hospitality in the gorgeous mountains of western North Carolina.

It was an easy as well as beautiful drive here from our home. Once we reached Downtown it was a block off the Main Street. Parking was free and located in the rear of the property. Luckily on the Friday evening we arrived we were able to get dinner at Harvey's which is onsite as well. The drinks and dinner was superb. Look for separate review on the Restaurant. After dinner we walked downtown to stretch our legs after being in the car as well as get an after dinner drink. Back at the Henderson as we got ready for bed hubby exclaimed how comfortable the bed was as well as everything about the Henderson. The next morning we went down to breakfast. Note it is included with your stay. We thought continental breakfast but this was a freshly prepared meal. Well I was still full from our dinner so I had some toast and tea. Hubby had the crepes and he loved them. After breakfast we enjoyed just taking in the place and sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch. Later we did leave and checked out the local sites Jump Off Rock with beautiful views and hiking trails. As well as miniature golf across from the high school. We did catch a nice nap before dinner as well as checked out the bees located on the roof on the second floor. Note you can buy the honey to take home with you. After another wonderful meal at Harvey's at the Henderson we were ready for bed. The next day a different menu for breakfast, we were sad to be going. It was a wonderful restful and peaceful stay. We hope to come back soon. Best weekend away and we felt right at home.

We booked the Silverbell Tree room directly through the Waverly, totaling $595 for two nights. The Waverly charged an additional $17.99 for a booking fee. We couldn't find record or notification of this charge anywhere, however. Trying to keep a long review short; $655 total for two nights in a semi-clean room that didn't include refreshment of bath towels/cloths or any housekeeping after night one was a bit disappointing. The claw foot bath tub is ok, but feels less than clean. (Showering is kind of gross since the curtains don't leave much room to keep your own rear end off of them, let alone whoever's rear was rubbing on them before.). The bed was great.
