THE place to stay if you are exploring or traveling anywhere in the Brevard/Asheville/Hendersonville/Pisgah/Dupont Forest area. The moment I pulled into the driveway, this place became my favorite bed and breakfast in North Carolina. This place is really really special. I came here for a short summer vacation trip to go waterfall hunting with a family friend visiting from out of town. I wanted to give her an unforgettable, decadent, luxurious experience, and the Melange delivered. The property is on the National Register of Historic Places, which is one of my favorite things. You drive up to the front and are greeted by immaculately manicured gardens. When you step inside, the sweeping staircase invites you to explore the rest of the building. Between the sun-room, the breakfast area, the courtyard and the multiple gardens, there are many places to relax and think. Mehmet and Lale were very welcoming and you can tell how much heart they have poured into this work of love. We stayed in the Azalea Suite, which has two bedrooms and a balcony on the second floor. The moment I walked in, I felt like I was on a movie set. The interior design is clean and sumptuous. We felt totally spoiled. This place is appropriately named: it is a wonderful melange of European antiques, Middle Eastern touches and modern amenities. The shower blew my mind with 2 rainfall spouts and a separately controlled panel of 8 jets on the wall. Breakfast was its own fantastic adventure. We were asked about any dietary restrictions and give 3 seating options (we chose their earliest, 8:30). Both days we were served a two course gourmet meal with juice (we don't drink coffee). First course was sweet and second savory. The first day we had a fresh ricotta filled crepe with candied fruit and a vegetable egg bake atop a homemade croissant. the second day was a fruit tart and a vegetable/egg stack. Please refer to my pictures because the presentation was absolutely gorgeous. The first thing I did when I checked out? Booked another reservation for this fall when my parents are visiting. It was incredible in the summer and I'd be willing to wager it is also beautiful in the fall with the leaves changing. Oh, and the rates? Incredibly reasonable, and comparable to the big box corporate hotels with no heart and no good food. They give you a Wifi code with your room, and if this matters to you, I think we had an 80" tv in the master bedroom. It was huge. STAY HERE!!!

Came here for the Masquerade Ball and had an amazing time! The inn was so beautiful and the owners were so hospitable! I definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful historic bed and breakfast. Very welcoming owners. Property is beautiful! Breakfast and company was perfect! Dining for breakfast is at cute round tables vs family style. Coffee was on-point! Rooms are large and spacious. Bed is very comfortable. Would come back and visit again!

Not only beautiful... Delicious

I wanted to do an abbreviated version (which they will do to save money!) and we had discussed all the plans. A month before the wedding...CoVid hit me. I was hospitalized and when I did get out I realized I was unable to do the parts I was planning. I went and talked to them. I fully expected their schedule to be too full and for them to explain how they couldn't do what I was asking. Not only did they agree to give extra help, they stepped up in several ways to help my mental state and help the wedding turn out well. They did extra work, provided advice, gave me "counseling" , they took EXTRA steps to help our wedding turn our beautifully. They came up with plans for ways to add to the decor. They stayed to help my daughter with her dress. Just so many caring actions to help us make the day extra special. Everyone remarked how beautiful the flowers were! It helped make the day perfect. Thank you ladies!

It was such a great experience that I would recommend traveling to Hendersonville just to stay at the Elizabeth Leigh and eat at the restaurants on Main St. It's a very relaxing and classy small town. Main St. is a short 10 minute walk from the inn. When I walked into the inn, I was blown away by the elegant antique decor. The pictures online just don't do it justice. I stayed in the Blue Room. It had a large comfortable bed, two chairs, loveseat, wardrobe, and a few other various decor items. All the colors and patterns went together flawlessly. The bathroom was incredible. It had gold and white accents, but still went really well with the blue theme. There were plenty of fresh high quality thick white towels neatly rolled in a basket. The shower had an adjustable head. Water stayed warm the whole time despite showering at the same time as other guests. Breakfast was southern, filling, elegantly served, and tasted amazing. The first breakfast was eggs, bacon, and thick French toast. The next was a cream cheese, berries, and French toast casserole or 'hot dish' depending on where you're from. There was complimentary bottled water, wine, ice cream, homemade white chocolate macadamia cookies, homemade pound cake (which was wonderful), and beer. Now possibly the most enjoyable part, the rest of the property. The inn has a wraparound porch with big white rocking chairs that overlook the yard and the little street in front of the house. The backyard has a fountain, swing in front of a little waterfall pond, and corner area with seating. There are multiple places to have private conversations with your loved one(s). If you get the opportunity, getting to know the owner Cindy and her husband Mike will be the best part of your stay. The inn is an expression of Cindy and her dream to give guests a relaxing, but high quality environment to experience genuine southern hospitality in the gorgeous mountains of western North Carolina.
