When asked about certain accessories, the staff's go to answer is "well let me check the Hobie catalog." I've been there 4 times, the first time just to check it out, the following 3 times I was looking for kayak things, needless to say the shop didnt have any of the items I was looking for. One of the staff members even said they dont carry pumps for inflatable kayaks, which was really weird considering over half of the shops inventory is inflatable kayaks. I'm not saying dont go there and check it out, I'm just saying dont expect solid product answers, or expect to see an array of kayak accessories.. I would definitely go to a different kayak shop first, then do proper research, then use Waterline as a convenience shop only..Outdoorsman Attic has three times the accessories, and kayaks in a shop 1/3 the size of the Hobie shop. The example I think of is, i asked the shop if they had the glue on Scotty mount accessory patches that glue onto the sides of inflatable kayaks, the staff didnt know what that was. Simple philosophy, if you call yourself a "kayak fishing shop," the staff and shop should know most things about kayak fishing. At the very least keep up with what's new on the market, and follow kayak fishing trends. I chose to try an e bike for the first time. My husband rented a manual street bike. It was an extremely hot day, but we had a good time. The bike store employee was extremely helpful. We were outfitted with our bikes in a short period of time. I was given instructions on how to use the e bike. Then we were off to explore. I am now a fan of e bikes! My aging knees are thanking me. Today, I had an amazing experience after frustratingly trying to fix what seemed like a simple issue on it's own but led to figuring out far more was wrong and thought the bike might be done with and repairs costing more than the bike was worth at this point. I couldn't have been more wrong. They fixed everything and even upgraded something and it only cost me 13 dollars. I was freaking out thinking my bike was finished and they made my day. James and Cole worked magic and were so cool through the whole process. Wish I could leave a ten star review! They deserve it.
