Two men showed…read moreup, took one quick look in the fireplace and decided that there was not way they could clean it, the liner needed to be replace, the insert needed to be cleaned and may not even work after that. Lectured us on how to dry wood for 5 minutes, that they would work up an estimate and that we also needed repointing on the chimney. They charged us $150.00 and left after about 15 minutes. After several days we received an estimate for a total of $22,300.00 to replace the liner, clean the insert and rebuild the fire place, with no credit for the $150.00 that we paid for zero work! Proceeded to have two other companies give estimate and both stated that the liner and insert could be cleaned for under $500.00. Hired one of them and cleaned the insert, the liner and now fireplace works great, like it is new. Not a good experience at all and would not recommend or ever use this company.

We officially have a wood burning insert!…read more When I tell you this has been a LONG road! 3 chimey companies wouldn't touch the job, we have an old house and a very BIG request! We didn't want a huge stove that took over the living room. We wanted somethint that fit in our existing space! We didn't want to convert to gas or electric. I felt so defeated! Then my mom was behind a truck one day. Tri-county Chimey builders. She said it can't hurt to call them. So I did, Frank and his son in law Anthony came out in November todo an estimate and see if they could do it. "This is a BIG Little job he said. we need jack hammers to remove parts of the brick. We need to remove the damper and the flu to run a liner. But it's not impossible." What I heard was he could do it! So I got all my ducks in a row and called him Thursday last week. He came back out to the house same day! He said we could do it Tuesday! Today with lots of tools and experience they made my BIG little job come to life! In the spring they are going to completely re-store our original chimney! Which is stone and not brick! Again a job NO other company is willing todo! While my house is small it feels like home, my husband & I want to keep as much charm as we can! So if you need a Chimey repair man Frank is your guy! Have a Chimey you never used frank is your guy!
