As I sat here a female with a dog walked in and worker walked out the back ( no she was not here when I arrived) she immediately ask the Caucasian woman could she help Her , and never looked my way .. Very unprofessional and her attitude stank her aura was off .. I laughed it off but I will be complaining.. When my husband arrived we approached the desk the Caucasian woman never left her desk to attend to us as a customer.. this place is a nice facility with employees with attitudes.. they need training in knowing how to treat customers.. to me white customers where treated with priority . Revamp your whole front line .

I'm a dog mom's now!! Thanks to the city of Fort Worth Animal Shelter!…read more My friend found and reported a stray husky to the animal control. She posted about the dog on her social media, so me and my husband were interested in. The animal control people said the dog will be at this shelter, we went immediately to check it out. It was very cleaned and a huge shelter. There were so many animals that are needing a home there. I walked through the shelter looking for the one my friend reported and were crying looking at these babies crying for help. If I could, I would take them all home with me. The dog we were there for unfortunately had not yet arrived at the shelter. Then, we came across my baby girl, Arroz, was jumping and crying. We just knew we had to take her home with us. She is only 2 and was disowned by her old owner when they moved to a different state so she was a stray on the street for who knows how long. She developed heart-worm because of that reason. But we're completely fine with it. I wanted to give this little girl a home matter what. I didn't know it was free to adopt animal from 1-6 years old from this shelter and if your adopted animals have health conditions, they will help cover them all! They have absolutely great service, they made it super quick and easy for us to take her home and after 3 days that she's home, they reached out and checked up on her! If you're considering adopting/getting a pet, please check them out! There are so many pets awaiting for adoption!

I called and watched the activity involving my dog online. Tracy answered with the same shitty attitude every time I called, as if she was bothered that I didn't want my dog to die if he wasn't adopted. A day before he was to be euthanized, I get a call from Tracy with the shelter letting me know I can have him back and the $115 adoption fee would be waived. That was really kind! BUT when I picked him up, he had a broken tooth, he was malnourished with dry blood and cuts all over, really skittish and a completely different dog than when I dropped him off. They also didn't have any of his belongings. My dog was at this shelter for 2 months and I PAID to surrender him. I cried looking at the horrible shape my dog was in. I wish I would've known they didn't give a fuck about his well being. I cried for days after I got him back thinking of the horrible experience he had in "jail." It's unfair. I wouldn't take a stray to this shelter honestly, but I am considering sponsoring other pit bulls so this doesn't happen again. It's disgusting.

Now as a disclaimer, our dog is a 100lb dog, 2.5 feet tall from his feet to the top of his back, and almost 5 feet long. He is a long, big, and awkward dog, especially when it comes to bath time. He tries to run away, until he finally surrenders once you get him in the tub. This makes it impossible to bathe him at home. On top of that, full grooming from other places is just too expensive to do every 6 weeks. Metro Animals Pet Wash is such a convenient, money saving option between full grooming sessions, or even in place of them! I still prefer to take my dog every few months for a full grooming session (minus a haircut) but having a place to easily bathe him in between is amazing. At Metro, too bathe our dog it costs $25, and it includes shampoo, conditioner, drying, nail clippers, ear cleaner, hairbrushes, breath spray, and a nice scented spray. I could not ask for anything better, in a giant tub, and a way to wrangle him and keep him in one place. Plus, they have treats for sale at the front to reward your dog for being great during bath time! On top of this, the staff is always so kind and helpful, as well as receptive to any and all questions. My husband and I were nervous to cut his nails as we had never done it, but she walked us through how to cut them and from there we were golden. Huge thank you to Metro Animals Pet Wash for being such a convenient and affordable place to wash my dog!
