Definitely a gem in the area. I'm grateful I stumbled on it when I took the back way out of my…read moreneighborhood. To have this type of rock climbing facility is incredible and in our small rural area. About 20 minutes from downtown Greenville, it's in the Blue Ridge area of Taylors. Inside is incredible. All different challenges and climbing wall paths. We could easy stay for hours with all ages. Additionally special yoga classes on Monday and Wednesday are up my ally. Whether you want the kids to wear out some energy or just a fun date, I highly recommend it!

It was much scarier than I remember once you get about halfway up your brain tells you to get down and you feel like you could fall, but remember its just a mental game you play with yourself, knowing you're strapped in and safe is half the battle! So exciting once you reach the top and lower back down. My friend who climbs a lot belayed me up a beginner and intermediate course. The neon tape at eye level across the entire facility has a number on it from 5-10. The 5 is easier an the higher you go up in number the more difficult the climb. They have bouldering areas and an automatic belay machine too! There's a mini American Warrior course in the back and they use the grassy hill for slip and slides sometimes! Lots of yummy snacks and drinks available like Clif and Kind bars, fruit, nuts, etc. The place was easy to find with GPS but it will feel like you're driving through a neighborhood. The gravel parking lot was large enough to accomodate about 20 cars.

The Sinks is a lovely waterfall along the river. There is a small parking lot with about a dozen spaces where we found parking. An observation area is a short walk from parking. A sign describes the area and that the falls were manmade. During the late 1800's the river was used to transport logs/timber to the nearby town of Elkmont. After a storm, flood waters caused a jam in the river. Dynamite was used to restore water flow. The blast resulted in a twist in the river and creation of the waterfall. A set of stone steps leads up a hill, offering lovey views of the falls. There are dozens of waterfalls in the Park. Sinks is one of the few that is drivable, which is great for people that cannot hike. I picked up a Waterfalls map at the visitor center that I found interesting and informative. Parking passes are required to park in the lot. There are no amenities at the falls. Plan 15-30 minutes for a stop and photos.

It's super busy in the summer, so just be prepared for that. We had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to leave so we could park. That wouldn't keep us from going back, though.
