This is the neighborhood park for Lake Charleston Shores in southwestern Lake Worth, Florida, near the town of Greenacres. Lake Charleston Shores was built in the 1980's and 1990's on over 900 acres, with more than 200 acres of lakes. The community offers amenities such as trails, pools, and parks like this one. Located near Jog and Hypoluxo Roads, it is known for its family-friendly, residential, lakeside living.
At the entrance to the park is a memorial plaque dedicated to Lester Kotok for his contributions to the Lake Charleston Maintenance Association. He served as President of the Homeowners Association and passed away in December 2005.
The park feels much larger than a typical neighborhood park. The playground area, complete with benches, is fenced in for safety, but the majority of the park extends beyond the fence. There, you'll find a basketball court and a sand volleyball court.
This park was the perfect place to get some steps in between other destinations in the area. The park and basketball court were active, with families enjoying the beautiful weather. Bring a picnic and stop by for exercise and play. The surrounding lakes make this an especially scenic park. read more
