Moulding Center is awesome! We had water damage and I needed to match wainscoting in our dining room that had been only partially removed, from a couple of walls. I communicated with Brian by phone and email and determined that they could match our wainscoting, which was from around 1950 or 1970. I went to their facility to provide a sample of the existing wainscoting for the match and Abel showed me the different wood materials they could use. We discussed the options and how they'd hold up and work for our indoor use in a dining room. Their estimate price was competitive with other custom match estimates. After paying, it took a couple weeks to produce our order and I was amazed by how well it turned out. When installed on the wall it is seamless with the existing wainscoting, even on partial walls that are a mix of the original old wainscoting and the new match. This part of our repairs had been such a headache because I didn't like any of the new wainscoting replacement options available for purchase and didn't want to have to move a large china cabinet to replace the unaffected portions anyway. I came into this Moulding Center to get some new moulding for the doors I was putting in. I explained to the older guy what I was looking for and he assisted in me picking the right moulding. I then went to the warehouse where I asked the younger guy working how to install one of the smaller pieces of moulding I was buying. It was a very slim piece. I genuinely asked - whats the correct way of installing this? He replied - With your hands, no? I gave up on trying to talk to him after he was condescending and left with my moulding. When I got home I realized one of the pieces I was given wrong. It was MDF instead of wood. I then went back the next day to exchange it, and another guy working saw me get out of my car with the piece of moulding and said who sold you this junk? Overall I would would look for another moulding company in the valley. They have a decent selection, but lack professionalism and customer service big time. read more

I went to three other places, based on recommendations looking for a specific style of moulding, and couldn't find it, not even at Home Depot or Lowe's. GREAT PLACE! I found this company after having a horrible experience with a company nearby who sent me on a wild goose chase just to keep me away from Moulding Center. The staff here was incredibly patient and helpful. Brian went through their huge selection with me to find a similar moulding to the one I brought in. The boss was cheerful. I stopped off here a while back to find a very uncommon piece of molding. The customer service rep was so helpful and went out of his way to find it for me. He did not stock it but made numerous calls and located another store which did have it. He asked them to hold it for me and even gave me directions to the other store! If that's not great customer service, nothing is. They do have a vast selection of high quality products. read more

Friendly, not pushy staff, relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of moldings on site and a much larger selection for next day. Some of the moldings are milled on site, some ability to do custom work. Prices on the standard moldings were very reasonable, and in some cases cheaper than the big box stores. This is my new molding place! read more

These guys were great! Very friendly, genuine guys with the patience to match. The prices weren't so bad either even though we bought enough moulding to outfit a whole living room top to bottom, with multiple windows and doors, as well as an entryway. We were able to get the style we wanted and great advice for installing ourselves. They even helped load into our truck, which happened to be not long enough. No need to go anywhere else! I had originally found this store when they were on Lankershim in NoHo, but quickly realized they had moved. Not only did they keep their great assortment of choices, but their fantastic customer service is the reason I drove across the valley to give them my business. Their prices are great; they've got something for all sorts of budgets, and their selection will beat out any hardware store any day. They'll even cut it (by the foot) so that you can transport it.
