A few weeks back, our mechanic at Greg's Garage (whom I highly recommend) identified a problem with the aftermarket wheel/tire setup on my 4x4 Sprinter adventure van. The inner sidewalls were making contact with the vertical upright struts, creating a dangerous scenario. A friend recommended I reach out to Motorsport Technology to make custom wheel spacers and when I told them the problem (and all the dynamics associated), they asked me when I need the parts by. *Sidenote: in a 2022 world of supply chain shortages, etc I would assume any part is a few weeks out, let alone a custom part. Realizing my need to get back on the road, they made the parts the next day. In addition to making the parts the next day, they worked with the mechanics at Greg's garage to help get the parts to the van, and me back on the move. I ordered a set of Hub centric spacers for my F350 which were delivered in a week and looked great. Unfortunately I would need to remove more of the material from the axle hub than I am comfortable with. I contacted and placed a second order with Motorsport Technology for a set of spacers with no lip for rim mounting and Lenny was good about discounting this set for me since the error was on me. New spacers were delivered in two weeks but with the incorrect stud thread pitch since my truck could of had two different metric thread pitches even though it is a Ford. When I contacted Lenny, he apologized and fab'ed a third set of spacers and got them to me in two days. Very good customer support when dealing with Lenny specifically. I bought 4 adapters last year. Lenny was great, gave sound advise, guided me on minimum thickness that I could go and still have adapters, and service after the sale is superb! Over the winter I swapped out my factory axle and the adapters no longer fit due to an increased center bore/register diameter. Called Lenny today and he said no problem! They are able to bore my adapters to the new diameter, so I won't have to buy new ones. I gave you the measurements: 67.1mm for the Inner Diameter and 82mm for the Outer Diameter. Could you change the Outer Diameter to 80mm? Mail me a Cap, I will make the Rings fit perfectly inside the Cap if I have one to build off of. Your just in a 1-2 day zone" 11/20 (me): "Awesome! Thanks, Lenny. In fairness to him, I did not email him the following Monday as he requested, so I guess it's my fault that a month and a half since I sent him the hub center cap, he still hasn't returned it// 1/07/2014 (me): "Just keep it, man. I'm over it. Good luck with your business." //Here's the kicker...the OD of the custom rings he made do not fit into my other hub center caps so I'm assuming he did not mold it to it. To this day, I don't even know if he ever received it or lost it or what. All I know is, custom hub center rings will cost you $115.00 + a hub center cap + 2 months with these guys. so conduct your business with them warily. I don't like to blanket bash anyone and I'm sure they're great people, but this experience was frustrating. the delays wouldn't have bothered me so much if at the very least, there had been better communication throughout the process. i hope their M.O. improves, for their sake, and for their future customers// read more

I ordered a set of spacers and chose the rush build time so I could receive them much faster. After speaking to Lenny on the phone, he said it would take about 5 days. Due to COVID, their website said to wait 15 business days to contact about the shipping. After about 20 business days, I contacted Lenny about my spacers, and he informed me that the company was in the middle of moving facilities. During this time they have not made any spacers, and he insured me that mine would be delivered ASAP. And they were. I called about getting a refund for my rush build time that I had paid for, and he issued me a refund NO QUESTIONS ASKED! I received my shipment of custom hub-centric rings and installed them on my Mercedes GL fitted with '22 custom rims which had always give me a shimmy and a shake at 70miles/hr despite generic plastic rings. I am delighted to tell you that my GL has not even a hit of a shake. Three local professional tire shops with endless re-balancing efforts never even came close, and none of them recommended custom hubcentric rings. Thank Heavens for the internet and Motorsport Technology. My wife is soooo pleased. And you know the slogan: Happy wife, happy life. I came to know Motorsport Tech through Custom Offset and thank God! I originally ordered some spacers for my vehicle from Custom Offset. When I received the spacers they were not done properly. After repeatedly calling and emailing photos to Custom Offset, I was repeatedly told that they could not get in touch with the vendor because they were not returning their calls or emails. With that being said I remembered receiving a text on my order was first placed, inquiring about the spacers on my vehicle from Motorsport Tech. Since I did not purchase from them and I did not quite understand the relationship, I only dealt with Custom Offset. After repeatedly being told they were unable to get in touch with the vendor to rectify my situation, which I found hard to believe, I went through my phone and found the old text and reached out to them and in my text I simply said that I feel like I am being given the runaround by Custom Offset. My spacers were not done correctly and they're saying that you guys are not returning their calls or emails and I find that very hard to believe, please help. That text set the ball in motion and within 10 minutes I was on the phone with Lenny, apologizing for my inconvenience and runaround. He could have easily said you would need to go through them to correct the situation but however, his approach was so genuine and professional for a problem that he could've easily sent back to the source. But instead, he listened and I explained what happened and he immediately knew what the problem was. The only thing he asked of me after verifying my order was to simply send it back to him directly, they will correct it and send it back to me immediately and that is exactly what happened. Now my vehicle looks great. So I highly recommend and I mean highly recommend if you need any of the services that Motorsport Tech provides. Go directly to them, this company is top-notch. Bought some custom wheel adapters and installed them with new wheels and new lugs. Followed the directions, cleaned the rotors, torqued both the adapter and wheel to spec per directions and here is my results. I used two different brand 12mm 1.5 lugnuts and each of the two 12mm 1.5 studs that twisted off were in both brand lugs. No oil or anti-seize was used and the lugs were installed DRY! All five lugs where hand started before any were tightened down and no air/power tools were used. The studs were flush with the wheel and not too long or too short, nor where the lugs too short or too long. The lugs where both the same style and correct for the wheel type. I called and spoke to the boss(Lenny) who wanted me to send in the adapters and lugs, but I would have to pay for shipping and if it was found to be the studs they used he would replace the bad studs. I asked about replacement of my lugs and got no answer. The adapters were bought in December when they had a sale and he mentioned it had been awhile. I explained I live in Michigan and the weather just started to get nice enough for me too mess with the car, because of the winter that wouldn't end. If they had not been on sale I would have bought them in spring. He tried to tell me these are not cheap studs, the studs WS-327B are china mass produced. At one point he started to giggle when I was telling him all the details. I reviewed Motorsport tech a bit before I made my purchase and I should have dug a little deeper, now I find complaints about the owner and lack of care for problems or support. Lenny is described as smug and bothered by your business and when I placed my order he complained of all the people calling at once and cut me off and put me on hold before I was able to say I'd just call back later. Where to start, I ordered 2 pairs of spacers for my truck, after an exceptionally long shipping period I received ONE pair. After a call to Motorsport Tech they tried to sell me a whole new pair, eventually they realized their mistake and sent me the rest of my order priority mail. After about three weeks of waiting on shipping of all my items and wronged items I went to install the spacers only to realized they had sent me 2 wrong sized nuts. After another call to Motorsport Tech they said they would send the correct nuts overnight as I needed them for an event. After two days of waiting there was nothing, so I called Motorsport Tech yet again and asked what the deal was. Not only was the owner lying about having said he would next day them he also tried to somehow blame it on me. Sorry but I wasn't the one who wronged my order not once but TWICE and then to be rude about it? Horrible customer service, still waiting on my lug nuts by the way..... read more
