Guys! Be very clear and specific when talking to firas! Sadly, my friend's car window was broken into sat night and she want it to get it fix on ASAP on Sunday. We went to one shop in Oakland. It was open but only to make appointments and we were told no window replacement/repair shop is open on Sunday. We decided to try anyway... We called everywhere. She and I was on our phone for 45 min calling so many places all the way from Berkeley to Fremont hoping someone can replace the broken car window on Sunday. My friend talk to firas and she was told he could help my friend at 2pm. At first we were surprised... No one said they had the window type for my friend's car available on Sunday. They all said the window factory is closed Sunday and the earliest they can replace my friend's window is Monday. So I had my friend call him again to confirmed and also to see if we can see him bit earlier. It was about 11am in the morning at the time. He didn't picked up the second time and according to his voicemail we can text him too. So my friend text him asking if he has any earlier appointment. My friend was very specific, she mention in her text "window replacement for the back seat window behind the driver seat for Lexus 2010 is 250" All Firas said was he will let me friend know by 1245pm if he can see my friend earlier. Not only he didn't get back to my friend by 1245pm but I have to text him to follow up again and again! Seriously! It was Sunday and I had to spend my Sunday waiting with my friend. Not the most fun thing to do to begin with. But we were hopeful to at least get her window replace so she can go to work next day on time. After text back and forth around 2pm ish. frias said he might not have time today and asked if he can do it tomorrow. (Wth... Not the answer we want after we waited!) and then after explaining to him that we need it done today he then ask what type of window! What the!!!! Seriously... Had he not been listening? We called him and texted him to make sure he was able to do it in the first place and now he is asking what window???? At the end it turns out he doesn't do window. He simply text back and said he don't carry window and only provide car service! Tired of shops charging me ridiculous amount of money for my car. I was searching around for an independent mechanic that would quickly fix the problem with my car without having to pay hundreds ridiculous dollars for it. So here comes Firaz to the rescue. Firaz is a great mechanic with surely a great experience and tremendous professionalism to his creditials. I have a Acura integra 1999 that was having a starter problem. Firaz diagnosed my car and it turned out that I have more than a starter problem. He informed me that I also have some coding errors in my acura as well. Man this guy knows his craft. Not only he managed to fix my starter and revert the codes in my whip. It only took him an hour and half for the repairs and He also did the parts and labor for a really reasonable price that you will never eeeever see the shops agreeing with the price. Found Firas through an online website. He was our saving grace. Came out to see why my 99 Infiniti i30 wouldn't start. He testes the battery,cables,starter,fuel pump, etc twice. He stayed until figuring the security light was staying solid red and that it must be a security issue which it was. He offered his number for us to call if we needed coaching or had questions once we got to the dealership to have the security system reset and the keys reprogrammed which was indeed the reason the car didn't start, the immobilizer had been activated. He was very thorough, explained step by step what he was doing,and just made me feel at ease. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to schedule another follow up to remedy the situation. I asked Firas to change hoses on my Toyota Prius' radiator. I must say that he worked very hard, but when he understood that he could not do it, he simply walked away, leaving a part of the engine on my garage floor. Not only he did not do the job, but his manipulations caused the "Master warning" and "Check engine" lights to come on. That required immediate attention from a Toyota mechanic. The mechanic was not immediately available. That means that I was without a car for three days and diagnosis and repair of the problem that Firas caused cost me $110. I still think that he might be a good mechanic but ask him first if he ever worked with the make and model of your car. Apparently mine was his first Prius. Being a stereotypical girl and not knowing the first thing about cars, I decided to yelp auto repair and he was only a mile away from me. You might feel a little concerned that he works from home, but he gives great customer service anyway. I needed my brake pads changed and a new tail light. He's done a lot of work on my car (installed a race pipe, engine torque damper, rear sway bar, aftermarket end links [he's actually also designing his own set of end links because he knows how to fix the cracking/noise issue commonly associated with aftermarket end links and/or rear sway bars on the Mazdaspeed3], and he's even helped me remove a broken bolt from the side of my intercooler from when I was trying to install an aftermarket bypass valve). He's an honest guy, never takes short cuts, and backs up his quality work with a warranty and receipt. As far as prices go, he'll give you the lowest quote in the bay area. I had a cabin filter that was long overdue to be changed; I'll put it like this, whenever I turned on the heat, a foul odor came out. I had no idea where the cabin filter was, so I had Firas change it and what a difference, no more funky smell!
