First off, I never EVER leave reviews for anything. So considering leaving a review says a lot about my experience at the MVD on Main St. If I could give this no stars, I definitely would.
To help explain my experience, going to the MVD is a real pain in the ass. I have been there in the past and had a horrible experience. The customer service has not changed for the better in over four years.
My reasons for going involved renewing my license and getting my sister her permit. She went there a week before and was turned down by the lady at the front desk. She arrived an hour before closing time and was told, "you can't take the test because it takes two hours." This dumb ass should know that the test to get your permit is literally 25 questions and takes about ten minutes to take. When we went this time (around the same time), the lady at the front allowed her to take it and was actually nice about it. It was our fault for going late again, but at least this time the lady had some common sense.
My experience was also terrible. I sat down after getting my number and the lady at the front desk called my number asking with a sharp uncomplimentary tone of voice, "what do you need?" She then told me to sit down, but I didn't hear her the first time. She said it again rudely, and I was like... maybe I want to stand here instead of sitting down. But I guess not. Sorry for NOT HEARING YOU THE FIRST TIME! After I sat down, I was called again. The lady at this desk was more rude than the last one. My God, who shitted in her corn flakes? It sure wasn't me. She started off rudely, "What do you want?" (I thought customer service was supposed to say, WITH A WELCOMING TONE OF VOICE, "Hi. How can I help you?") Even at Chick-fil-A everything ends with my pleasure. That's customer service!!!!! The employees at this place should take a lesson from them. Back to my experience, I responded with saying that I needed to renew my license. I gave her all the materials that I needed. Unfortunately, I brought one wrong paper to prove I'm a citizen and the lady was not so happy. I told her that my mom was on the way with the documents just in case I was missing something and to sign for my sister's permit. She said there was no point because once they are done with the last costumer (being my sister) they don't need to help me. At this point I was done and being rude back. My other sister stepped in because I was not having it. The lady, after realizing she was not a nice person, decided to be a little more decent and told us to come back. She said she would save everything in the computer so that we wouldn't have to start off from the beginning when we come back (I guess this is what earned them a one-star rating). Oh and I almost forgot, when they were taking my picture, the lady said she would count to three... but she didn't even count and took my picture without warning. My picture resulted in an unsatisfied constipated looking costumer.
Overall, I don't want to go back there or at least go when they are closing. I mean, I understand that they want to go home, but they should at least be welcoming. I rather go to the MVD express on Lohman. I've been there before and they are wonderful. They know what customer service is!!!!! Even though you have to pay extra, its better than the other MVD on Main St. They gives me aneurysms. Anyways, after my experience, I had to go to McDonald's and treat my thighs with fries. It was the only way to prevent me from walking back into the MVD with my middle finger. read more
