I needed to print Income Tax Forms. Computer Lab lady was very helpful and everything was accomplished in no time.

It could be a 4 or 5 star rating because the Library itself is very nice but c'mon fix your website.

Good selection, beautiful outdoor reading area. I wish the kids center was a little more exciting for my kiddos

I was on my 277mile/363kms Birthday Biketour from El PasoTX to Las CrucesNM to HatchNM (turnaround…read morepoint), observing a very pleasant train depot re-purposed into the public library, not yet knowing how incredibly important this institution is to the community. Crossing the tracks, I was extremely disappointed that "free" WiFi was not available virtually anywhere here. However, dynamic David, Curator of the local museum, informed me that the public library has free WiFi. Good thing it was during the workweek (I was biketouring 28-31AUG2019, and VERY GLAD to not have to share extremely congested roads during the annual Chile Festival every Labor Day 24 hours later!), when both the library and the outstanding museum were open. I pedaled back to the beautiful library, going inside to meet dynamic director Alice/her staff, who only asked that I apply for a library card to receive the password. Like the incredible public libraries in Texas, access to WiFi increases contact to the World, as well as the immediate area. [As an aside, the very amiable Alice mentioned her daughter playing a volleyball game at ChaparralNM; I replied good wishes for her daughter, that I had pedaled by the relatively new school the day before whilst going over Anthony Gap.] Alice also commented that many bicyclists stop here (the library) strictly for the WiFi access--just like me! In fact, I spent most of he night sitting on the front steps, utilizing their truly free WiFi! Interestingly, I noted that many locals will motor into the parking lot & stop, also accessing this wonderful service. Alice/her staff/Hatch Public Library certainly have my coveted "Wheel of Approval!"

Not so happy with this. Why couldn't they keep the depot and build their library someplace else. I…read moregrew up at the employees housing at that train station. Old train stations are historical. It's not even on the list anymore...

This was on the way back to Las Cruces which was a good stop for a second hike. This hike was done counterclockwise; trail was a narrow path of dirt and rock with plenty of inclines! You can either show the person in the visitor center to get a receipt or display it in your car on the dash or hangtag. The person in the visitor center was helpful. The park closes at sunset (with the chance of fees if you don't leave by then) and so there's a whiteboard with the exact time you need to leave. There are a bunch of trail maps and the maps that prohibit dogs are also clearly marked. The worker recommended the La Cueva trail as there wasn't enough time for us to do the trail originally planned and gave us the back story behind it. He seemed very knowledgeable! There are gorgeous views and the trails seemed well maintained with gravel/dirt.
