Has they still been on Monaghan St and Maya cafe was open I'd have gone there for a great cappuccino. This time we got the meal deal 3 at £24 but it was topped up by £2 due to my order choices (no fish just chicken based mains) but I've give. Up arguing over price hikes. I suppose I was inclined to do a review here having just recently experienced a truly dreadful Bangladeshi restaurant in Letterkenny. The latter deserves promptly closed down with the former deserving of support in this most challenging of times.

I've sampled plenty of the starter dishes and for mains have tried quite a few options over from the beef or chicken jalrezi, tikka masala, korma oh and let's not forge their vindaloo (buyer's beware it is as hot as they come), all dishes have been amazing. My fave, go to main meal is now the chicken tikka masala has enough of everything, packed with flavour and doesn't make me cry like the vindaloo! Also, little tip for you... order the garlic Naan! It's worth the buck and then some. I've often ordered from them when having guests over so whether it be a small order for 2 or larger group they've got you covered. The delivery service is always prompt, never had any issues here and the once time they had a long delivery timeframe they made it know over the phone when I placed the order to make sure I was ok with the wait... More take away/delivery places should take note, if ye know ye are up against it, let us know when ordering... We really enjoyed our night here and wouldn't hesitate to return. The welcome was friendly, seating comfy and it didn't take long to get a drinks order served. We were undecided about starters eventually decided on mains only. My wife opted for a chicken shashlik with rice which came with a sauce that was quite astringent, almost as if some vinegar had been added. The sauce was well flavoured but it didn't suit my wife's palate although I liked it. The rice was perfectly cooked. I ordered a butter paneer dish with a Peshwari nan. It was a very tasty main, I did enjoy the paneer and my wife enjoyed my sauce more than her own as it was sweeter. The only thing missing, that I expected to find, was green peas and only because they are always in this dish when I order it. Their absence didn't affect the dish, I was just surprised not to get them. The only disappointment was the peshwari nan as the filling was so thin we simply couldn't detect any of the flavours we expected but given the price I wouldn't drop a star. My advice is put the price up a bit and put in some more filling. Our friends enjoyed their dishes but I only recall one main - chicken biryani with the same 'sour' sauce and a garlic nan.

Sitaaray to the rescue - they open till 11pm! The food won't blow your mind, but it had pretty good flavor and the prices were great. The Food: We got Tandoori Mixed Special (€11.95), a side of the Saag Paneer (€4.95), and G.O.C. naan (€3.25) to split between the two of us. The Tandoori special was very generous portions, and included chicken, lamb, and other grilled meat. I don't usually like getting tandoori at Indian restaurants (it's like the least sexy dish), but we were craving meat, so we went for it. It was good, but not great - a little dry, but that is often the case. There a number of really flavorful sauces that you can add (some with a lot of heat), and that helped a lot. At the price and for the amount of food, it was a good deal though (and definitely satisfied the meat craving). The Saag Paneer, which is pureed spinach and mustard leaves with cream and chunks of Indian cheese, was flavorful. The menu said medium spicy, but I did not notice any real heat. The G.O.C. naan (garlic, onion, and coriander) was fresh and doughy, also with good flavor - not quite as much as I expected, but still pretty good. Overall, it won't be the most memorable meal, but given the few options in the area, at this price the food was well worth it. Space and Pace: Large dining space in the restaurant that was quite empty when we arrived. The restaurant has an almost overly formal feel to it with mood lighting and wine glasses set out, red tablecloth, etc. I found that slightly odd, given that they also do take out, but it is a really nice interior and probably makes for a romantic date. Service: Really friendly servers and people running the restaurant, with good recommendations. Our server warned us about the super spicy sauce you can add to your food, and was a bit surprised that we just about finished off the entire container. The food also came out relatively quickly - we left very happy.

I am kind of a whimp when food is too spicy. This dish was delish! I chose off the "special" menu for dinner that is available until 7pm. It comes with a main course and an appetizer for about 20 euro (I don't quite remember because my boss paid as it was a business dinner). Everything tasted freshly prepared. If you like lamb, there are also some excellent offerings as well. I also cannot neglect to mention the bread. The naan comes to the table piping hot to complement the meal. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend if you are in the Dublin area and want Indian food.

My kids don't leave a single piece of naan uneaten, and even the roti is happily noshed by a kid that won't try anything new. The food is delicious, and the restaurant itself is also just so beautiful.
