Where to start , hair in the room, shower hose leaking, horrible bed sheet , toilet paper holder hanging for is life, shower tiles broken , floor wood panels coming off the ground , construction or renovation the room next door or top for 3 days straight from on weekend with no signage to let the guests know, rust all around the windows, no curtains to block the sun coming through around all the windows . The only good thing it's the central location and economical. You can tell when owners of the kind of place don't invest back in their investment and it's what you get when only put makeup over an already beat up place . To say we are disappointed would be a understatement. We were going to a concert in the area and needed somewhere quick and cheap to stay. The pictures were cute so we booked it but then our concert cancelled. We tried to move the date of the air bnb and was told no due to the policy, even though there was a category 4 hurricane hitting the state. We went anyways and decided to make the best of it but it only got worse. We walked in to dirty carpet(not the beautiful pictured hardwood), mold in the bathroom, stains in the bedding, dirty walls, etc. Overall the place looked like it was held together by spackle and paint. We left and bought another hotel because we were not comfortable staying at such a dirty place. We requested a refund and was told we'd be contacted by a manger and got no response. If you are debating between picking this place and another, choose the other. If you are about to book this, do yourself a favor and find something better. These reviews cannot be real. read more

This is a five star rating for a MO-tel, where parking is the attraction, room doors face the outside, and it's basic, basic, basic for a cheap price. The fact that this small roof over your head is called Bianco (better name & translation: white), tells me that anything tawdry is now white-washed. "Clean" is right up there with "parking" for any amenities you should reasonably expect.. No, there is no designer soap, hair dryer, nor real water glasses in this newly renovated thimble of a bathroom. But the new tiles are white, the basins are clean and uncracked, and the windows are recently replaced. I know. The manufacturer's sticker with a date was still on the glass. There's new pergo on the floor, and a wash of white paint over every other surface. Management doesn't want you to stay long, so there is a very shallow closet with several plastic hangars to dissuade you from unpacking. Past guests may have used the rooms to scavenge for their own flea market inventory.. As a consequence, a new visitor must give the desk clerk ten bucks cash to assure return of both the tv remote and the room key at checkout. Both articles are passed over the counter at check-in, like they do with bowling shoes from the guy before you. Weird. The teeny air-conditioner looks like it was dropped from the back of a pickup in about 1965, hitting the pavement til it ricocheted into an immovable wedge between your room's inside wall and the motel's patched and repatched stucco exterior. The machine shook and whirred all night, but did it's ancient best to successfully keep the room cool to about 70 degrees. A large wall poster covered one wall. Its theme was City streets at night, with time lapse traffic streaks on freeways. Couldnt figure out where it was until I read the small print at the bottom: "Los Angeles 1989". LA? Why not something local? Hope they got a deal on that poster. Maybe they did, at the same flea market where they found their remote controls being re-sold for $2 each. The interior patio had rugged, plastic weave furniture that is both comfortable and a modern style. Happily, the $67 room charge included coffee, juices, cereals, bagels, fresh fruit and a selection of not-so-fresh Dunkin Donuts (still in the box). The car is right near the room. The night clerk was also the sentry when I arrived the night before. When I had to drive through a full south lot to park in the north lot, he followed on foot to be sure I wasn't there for - - ummm - - business. It's that kind of neighborhood. Canceled reservation fully paid for over 6mo prior without any notification. My party, 3 women traveling, arrived late in the evening to placed that was comply locked down with no access and no one manning the front desk. We were granted access by a guest already staying there to be greeted by a sign on the desk that said there would only be a person at the desk from 9am-4pm and to contact the airbnb for any questions. When I booked the room it was a Travel Lodge, not an airbnb facility. When I called customer service the first person I spoke with saw my reservation as active and attempted to contact the motel. She was unable to assist me, as there were no employees present, so she transferred me to someone else. The 2nd person I spoke to informed me my reservation had been canceled approximately 2 weeks prior to my arrival. I was never notified of a cancellation, nor did I cancel. I wouldn't advise staying at such a poorly run business unless you'd like to risk being stranded with no place to stay. read more

If there was a negative star I would definitely select it. Where do I begin? 1. I booked this motel through Orbitz and received a decent price. I did not expect it to be perfect like a hotel but I at least expected it to be clean. While walking to my assigned room on the day of arrival there was a huge COCKROACH racing across the floor. I was completely creeped out but I had no other choice but to stay the night. THE ROOM WAS DIRTY!!!! The night stand, television, remote, bathroom (especially the shower) was disgusting. There was rusting on the windows walls etc. There was white Staines on the curtains as well 2. I could not sleep through the night in the room due to poor ventilation. I spent only one night and it was extremely uncomfortable due to the smell (mold). I ended up staying with some friends for 3 nights until I departed. 3. The room was located on the lower level next to the back (10A). The only way to stop an intruder was a plastic chain with a sign that read."NO TRESPASSING". I felt so unsafe that I was creeped out by every noise. When I asked if there were any other rooms available I was told they were sold out. I never left any of my luggage in the room not even for two seconds unattended because I felt as though someone would steal it (thats how scared I was). I even took one of my friends to see it and she was appalled by the appearance. 4. The day time receptionist need a course training in job etiquette. Her appearance was that of a street walker with the nasty sore at thencorner of her mouth. Her attire was extremely unprofessional; I saw her boob when she bent down the get their brown filling folder (its where they keep the refundable $40 for the key and remote). Did I mention that the remote had a piece of cardboard that was taped to keep the battery together!!! 5. That place need to be shut down! I have pictures to prove everything. I will contact Orbitz to have at least part of my money returned. * Never have I had such an experience with a place I stayed. Not welcoming, very short worded, no smile at all Room: decent sized, looked modern and well kept on FIRST impression Amenities: wi-fi only available in the lobby, they hand you the remote for the TV that has been taped together with old scotch tape, 2 styrofoam cups for your drinks. LADIES! Good luck getting ready in the bathroom, there isn't a single outlet in the bathroom. I had to slide the desk chair next to the dresser, and unplug the TV just to plug in my straightener. Housekeeping: absolutely ATROCIOUS. I have short, blonde hair, and I found more long black hairs all over the room than I could count. There was a CHUNK of them on the accent pillow, absolutely disgusting. Bath mat in the shower had MOLD on it, along with the inside of the medicine cabinet. The window blinds in the bathroom were missing 2 blinds, there was soap and calcium residue on the soap dishes, there was hard water staining on the shower head, and rust on nearly every single metal service in the room and bathroom(including the bottom of the refrigerator). Overall: I wouldn't stay here again, even if you paid me to. I ended up sleeping on my beach towel and jacket because I was too grossed out to even touch the sheets. The only thing I can say this place has going for it is location. I booked this motel from Priceline after I couldn't find any AirBNBs in the area that I liked (I know now that I should've kept looking). Overall for roughly the $75 I paid (plus taxes), it wasn't ALL that bad. But then it was...all at the same time. The check-in area had 2 people working, a guy that looked like he's be happier doing anything but work the front desk and a girl that would speak a little Spanish and kept asking for reassurance as she processed my credit card and pulled up my reservation. My guess, she was new. She tried to wear a smile and I did appreciate that. I was informed they would charge a $40 deposit and then I was handed my room key (a real key) and a Ziploc bag containing 2 remotes... 1 for the TV and 1 for the A/C (that didn't really work and blew out chunks of damp, black dust balls). The room photographed well (as others have shared), but in person, this is NO boutique motel. The bed springs made noise and my bet is they are rusted as sin underneath the sheets (that I dare NOT remove). Speaking of sheets, I removed more LONG black hairs from the sheets and pillow cases than ever... The WiFi doesn't work in the rooms. So enjoy your 4G / LTE service with your cell phone, LOL. Amazingly, a fresh roll of toilet paper was on the holder AND a spare roll was sitting on top of the tank. I don't know why I remember that so well, seemed out of the norm considering the condition of the room. Shower pressure was good and the water heater worked well. I gave 2 stars because honestly this is a motel...it's not supposed to be fancy and as one other reviewer wrote, you're not meant to stay long term. My co-worker and I stayed here one night. We chose it for its proximity to South Beach and downtown Miami (10-15min drive). Good: The staff was incredibly friendly. There is free parking, security, and wireless internet. The courtyard has stylish, new deck furniture set up to encourage chat between travelers. There is a microwave in the courtyard so you can prepare coffee. The room had a mini-fridge, closet with hangers, desk, short table, and chair. The decor in the lobby is very modern and overall the motel is indeed "boutique". The price ($50 for a standard room, 1 queen bed) is hard to beat. Needs Improvement: Cleanliness: The bathroom counter had small hair clippings on and behind the faucet. The bed sheets and spread were flawlessly clean, however when I lay down, I could smell urine (presumably in the mattress or matress pad). The balcony had cigarette butts scattered about. Lighting: Our entire room was lit by two beside lamps with dark lamp shades and the bathroom had one bulb in a wall sconce. We arrived at night and the dim light kept us blissfully unaware of any other cleanliness issues until the next day when we could see by natural light. On our way to Miami, we found hotel/travel guides at the highway rest stops. We learned that for $50-60, we could have stayed at a dependably clean chain hotel. But hey, Bianco has a certain chic charm and was decent place for the price. read more

Firstly, it's not in the best of areas, second: the staff is as rude as ever, third: its definitely dirty (sheets and comforters had yellow and brown stains, and trash from previous guests still in room and bathroom) and lastly: no sense of privacy (people could definitely look inside your room at any time with the big gap in the shutters. Not to mention the missing shutter panels in the bathroom window). They say they have free wi-fi, but the range must be 0 because we were never able to connect to it. I don't understand why this place has such a bad rap. It's a motel, not a 5-star hotel. It probably wasn't in the best neighborhood, but we had no problems. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights before we left for our cruise, but our experience here was rather enjoyable. Yes the room was small, but it was clean (except for maybe an odd stain on our shower curtain). The continental breakfast was decent, with a wide variety of breakfast foods to choose from. They had cereal, bagels, honey buns, yogurt, fruit, juices, milk, and coffee, all the basics. My favorite part was the large community commons area in the center of the square. I was kinda bummed that they didn't have a pool though, considering we were in Florida. We had some issues with the WiFi, because apparently it only reached so far out of the lobby. And when you check in, you have to pay $10 in cash for your room key and the tv remote, which is refunded when both are returned upon checkout. Checkout is usually at 11, but because our cruise didn't leave until later in the day, we spoke with the front desk and they allowed us to stay longer. I booked this hotel on hotwire. The name of the hotel came up as Motel Bianco and there was 2 stars on yelp. The uber dropped me off. The outside looks average. As soon as i stepped inside my whole perspective changed. The lady who helped me check in was very nice and sweet. I went into my room and i was shocked. The rooms are very nice. It looks like they have been renovated with high quality bed and furniture. I loved the layout of the room too. Last night i slept very good. Again im staying at a Motel. For a Motel i give this place 5 stars. In the morning they had breakfast too. I highly recommend this Motel. Its actually better than most budget Hotels that i go too. Thanks to an incredible staff they made my stay awesome. I will return for sure. read more

I made the reservation online and requested a non-smoking room. When I arrived I was given a smoking room (complete with awful stench and ash trays). When I asked at the front desk to have my room switched, I was told that the rooms were all full, so I would have to talk to the administration in the morning. To be fair the rooms were clean and it is a pretty courtyard. Water flow in the shower was low but there was enough hot water. However, you have to put a $10 cash deposit to get the TV remote and there are no phones in the rooms (I had to use my cell to call the front desk). The thing that absolutely ruined my stay was when we checked out. Since I'm allergic to smoke I felt terrible in the morning, and I went to the front desk to ask for a discount on my stay. The girl at the front desk went to ask, and came back to tell me no, the room I stayed in IS non-smoking. I asked about the smell and the ash tray, and how could she pretend it was a non-smoking room, and she said the ash tray was to take out to the patio to smoke. I felt to awful to argue, but I probably would've have gotten into "Do you think I'm stupid?" pretty fast. It's been remodeled to look pretty, but the rooms are pretty bare bones, no frills is just a nice way to say it. The motel bianco is cute from the outside . It is in the historic MIMO area. Renovated mid century boutique style motel. It photographs well and it's located close enough to everything and if you're on a budget the prices are great...sheets in the hills are always clean in the morning buffet is good if you or not eating low carb.and so of course yes it's in the somewhat sketchy area but here's the problem... I've been coming here for years and every time I come it's more and more in a state of disrepair and apathy. When you stand at the front desk the person behind it and The wall behind them is basically your first impression. Desk staff are never what I would call warm, but that's not the most important thing to me but a lot of people do care about that and they could make a little more effort to be friendly and welcoming.But to see the wall behind reception with peeling paint /dirt marks from the desk chair is really a turn off. The cheapest thing you can do is keep the walls clean and in good condition and it makes a huge impact. Last(and final, literally) time I was there.I got in late night. As I drove into the parking lot, which was full,the security guard didn't look up from his phone . He also had earbuds in his ears which would sort of negate the effect of hearing stuff if you're on watch to keep your guests safe.Since I had to park around the side of the building there he might've offered to escort me to the motel door? But he didn't notice or he didn't care I don't know which. he only looked up when I was with in 3 feet of him and gave me a friendly hello . The desk person however NEVER looked up from her phone and had her headphones in her ears the whole time as I walked past her through the lobby .Never looked UP!!! Any sketchy person could've walked through the door (like the one who was running after me yelling as I was getting out of my car during the daytime.) Here's the thing: I've stayed at this place several years in a row And every year there's one thing that's kind of major. The first time was a bathroom window that was cracked and jimmied open at some point and so would not close or lock. We brought it to the attention of desk /maintenance but ended up fixing it ourselves with some wood scraps we had in our trunk as maintenance seemed clueless as to what to do ! The second time here windows were facing east side yard, and again wouldn't lock and anyone could've opened them from the outside in a hidden area where they faced. Got a screwdriver and made those lock.is it weird that I brought tools with me this time? Ha ha. Third time I stayed here that room smelled of mold. There was a large wet soggy part of the ceiling in the bathroom that was days --if not hours-- away from falling in. This 4th (and final) visit I checked the windows first thing -they were old and painted shut. However,there were no washcloths,BUT...there were like, six mini soaps! The fridge smelled like sour milk, one lamp did not work /lampshades all crooked, walls dirty, tables chipped and dirty , shower curtain had some black spots on it, ....the room smelled moldy so I went straight to the AC filter took it out and cleaned half an inch of dust off of the filter and put it out in the sun to dry. That helped quite a bit actually. Here's the thing --normally these things , they don't bother me . I just have a higher tolerance for this stuff because basically it's a room I'm sleeping in and if it's clean and it's safe it's cool with me. but when you come to a place year after year and you see that things are only getting worse then that does matter. I will not be staying there again, unfortunately. Love the location and the mid century vibe but It all comes down to details, ---and I don't mean chocolates on the pillow or handwritten notes from the cleaning staff. I'm just talking about fresh paint clean appliances working lightbulbs, a staff that take some ownership, just the basics. the details are so easy if they would just pay attention to them. I wish somebody would hire me to come in here and point it all out to them. It is all so, so easy. Instead I hope they read these reviews and make the simple adjustments and repairs that would make this place charming again and make people want to come back! Eh, what do you want for a hotel in miami on Saturday night during tourist season? Pluses: Easy to get to and easy to park. Cheap-ish? ($80 for a double queen room) Clean? There are only two towels in the bathroom. Mini-frig in the room. The tv works. Minuses: No phone in the room. If you need something, call the lobby. On your cell. It's bright outside the rooms on the first floor. I mean floodlight bright. Ummmm... No internet in the rooms. There's internet in the lobby, and if you wanted to take your computer to the lobby, connect, and then take it BACK to your room now that it's connected, you could. But don't expect to get given that magical password over the phone... Thin walls. Hope your neighbors aren't feeling frisky! (Or, uh, paying anyone by the hour?) Oh- there's a $10 cash deposit for the room key and the tv remote...?? So.... Yeah. That's a thing. This is a very nice, lovely, and inexpensive hotel/motel. The security is really good. They open doors and check on the parking lot often. My boyfriend and I wanted a nice cheap place to stay and sleep. The only bad thing is once you get there you need to crank up the AC or request to have it turned on before you get there. It will take up to 4hrs till your room cools since is the old fashion ac. Also, they only replace towels when asked and wash the same ones right away. I love the decor of the lobby, rooms, and patio. The rooms are really cozzy, has a small bathroom and fridge. The location was great and took only 10 -15 min to get to south beach and ocean drive. I went on tues night to friday. Traffic wasn't bad since it was mid week. I will have to make it back there when I visit Miami again. The people are very friendly and have great customer service. read more

I called in to talk to am nager and explained my situation and the manager had no sympathy for me. The manager charged my debit card for one night's room and tax. Awful! The room was disgusting and in need of maintenance. The toilet, sheets, and towels were dirty. The second day house keeping came and only took out the trash and dirty towels, no bed made and no clean towels or anything else. I complained and got new towels but nothing for my other complaints. The air conditioner was very loud and missing buttons. To use it I had to stick a pencil into the hole, so be sure to bring one if you stay here. There were also a couple of bugs in the shower, which had a terrible smell. The chair was so beat up it would have fell apart if I sat on it. The room needed lots of work to live up to the cost. Don't expect much. Location wise is actually not bad. Just blocks from the design district. Parking is first come first serve. The motel is very old but simply repainted. Staff is friendly but no customer service. Room had zero ammenities, just 2 outlets and were used by tv and table lamps. The room was clean but its more of a one night stay. Breakfast was not bad for the place. Plenty of coffee, little bagels and cereal. For the location and price...it was ok but only for one night stay. Coming from New York I'm no Stranger to the Spanish speaking community, but the woman at the front desk could barely speak English! (my friend booked through priceline so our reservation was all set) we asked for a courtyard room since the lobby and courtyard looked trendy, but were shoved in a sketchy hallway room instead. inside the room we were welcomed by a nasty stained bedspread, a floor you could only get warts from, an old smelly (barely working) air conditioner, and a little baggie left on the bathroom floor. assuming said baggie could have potentially contained drugs at some point we decided to promptly ask for a refund ad decided to book elsewhere. The only plus side was the señorita at the front desk gingerly called her manager and issued my friend a full refund. but trust me, save yourself the hassle! read more

Stayed here Oct 8-10 after returning from a cruise. Staff has no area to store your bags so if you arrive early you're SOL. After waiting about 45 mins they were nice enough to check us in early since we had nowhere to go. The area is decent. My boyfriend and I walked to the mall area by Bar Louie and bar hopped with ease. We ate at The Federal which is on the same block as the hotel & has AWESOME food & drink. The room had horseflies though. We'd kill 2 & 2 more would appear. We killed at least 10 in 2 days The shower had nowhere to place any of your wash items. The room was clean. Didn't seem to show any signs of bedbugs. The room had hardwood floors which were cold. The ac worked. The bathroom was decent sized with a huge shower. Water pressure was decent. Bed was soft & so were the pillows. Room had a fridge & large closet (that reeked of moth balls) The front door didn't sit flush so that may have been where the fly's were coming from. The blinds in the bathroom had a few missing pieces but the window was high up on the wall so I don't think anyone could see in. Overall, staff was nice & my room was a good size. Not small at all. If there wouldn't have been a fly problem I would have given them 4 stars. read more

Worst Motel OR Place To stay. I'm still upset that I wasted 120 on this Motel that looks nothing like the pictures. First of all I walk in it smells like paint. No they are not remodeling. Our fridge was leaking when we first walked in and when we went to service desk lady had attitude as if she didn't want to help. All they did was put a towel under the leak. Secondly the bathroom was nasty. The drain water slowly moves out if water is flowing. First when I layed down I found a tiny bug idk what type of bug but cross between a centipede and tiny fly. So strange and nasty not sure if it bit me because I woke up with a itching bump in my back.i ordered a queen size bed and got two twin size beds. Staff if rude and doesn't seem happy. Stayed two nights, Feb. 16-18, staff friendly and courteous. I booked online, paid $74 night including tax. The place has been completely remodeled and is very clean and fresh-looking. There is wi-fi, and I was able to sit in the pleasant courtyard, smoke a cigar, drink coffee and watch a movie on my ipad. The place seems to attract young foreign couples; a pretty German blonde was sharing a cigar with her husband. The room had a cold air conditioner and a decent TV. Also a small fridge for my milk. Compared to most Biscayne Blvd. motels, it is definitely a place I could have brought my wife to. The bed was OK, but a little firmer than I would have liked. This hotel is a waste of money and you would be much better off paying the extra $30-40 to stay somewhere else. I booked this as last minute option at the end of a vacation in order to extend a day. when we came back from dinner there was a HUGE cockroach running around the room that we had to kill. the bathroom was disgusting and there was what looked like vomit residue on the inside of the shower curtain. There was a hole in the side of the mattress where it looked like someone stored drugs. when we asked the front desk if they would clean the giant smashed cockroach on the floor their english was very poor and they were extremely rude. he came back to the room to "clean" the guts all over the floor. and said "oh just this" and proceeded to KICK the roach out of the room leaving the guts on the floor. in addition to this situation the entire room was run down outdated and the seal at the bottom of the door was broken. the room would not get cool and was hot the entire time. i genuinely wish i had steered clear of this hotel and booked somewhere else. read more
