Full of bugs crawling on the floor and in the beds. Killed several spiders along with other bugs. Beds were from the 40s I am sure and it has been that long since it has been washed. Filthy! The trim was peeling away from the walls, door looked like it had been kicked in and the doorknob and lock just put back on. You could see all around the door. curtains hung down on heater (a real fire hazard), and vents on the heater were broke. Smelled terrible and was nothing like the pictures shown. Room smelled awful upon entering. Shower still had hair in it from previous use. Shower curtain had several brown mark on it. Some looked like maybe mold.. not sure about the rest. Room is tiny but you get what you pay for. read more

Pre-Covid all I worried about picking up in a cheap hotel was bed-bugs. Now with Covid, bedbugs are the least of my worries. We choose this place so we wouldnt have to walk inside with other people. Room was basic but clean. No evidence of bedbugs, yay. For a one night place to sleep it was fine. read more

I just checked in. Told the fam not to put anything down anywhere. Glad I did. There were bed bug spots on the white sheets. The brown "fuzzy" blanket was stained and so was the top sheet that was trying to make the bed look nice. I lifted up the mattress sheet and found more brown spots located on both the beds in the room. Sheets had brown "crumbs" as well. Quickly ran to the front desk and demanded a refund. Of course she obliged because there's no denying it. It's not worth saving money if you take these things home! PS. I ran out so fast I didn't grab a pic. Couldn't handle it. read more

My 3rd Worst Motel Experience in 50 Years of Travel. I stopped in late at night after driving most of the day, hoping to get a few hours sleep. The room given me seemed of questionable cleanliness as I stepped in, but, exhausted from my drive, I hunkered down on the bed hoping to get some rest. Not possible. The room stunk, was dirty everywhere, the bedding threadbare, nasty and scratchy, and there were bugs, alive and dead, on the ceiling, walls and floor. After a short time, unable to fall asleep, I got up, bathed the dog, took a shower, and left. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then here are eighteen thousand. 8/26/21 This has got to be the most disgusting place I have ever tried to stay in. It stunk so bad I can't believe we even considered spending the night in this room. There were cigarette burns in the sheets, blanket and bed spread if that's what you wanna call it, and this was the non smoking room. Happily impressed. I travel with pets, so Motel 6 works great for me as they don't charge for pets to stay and the low cost of the room is a bonus also. This particular motel 6 was a nice surprise. Nothing fancy, but nicely updated and clean. There was also a small outdoor pool that was in good shape and helped entertain the kids. The cost was very reasonable at just under $60 including the taxes. The staff was upbeat and pleasant as well. The only issue we had was that we couldn't figure out how to use the television, but it didn't matter anyway with the tablets, phones and laptops we had with us. Definitely give it a try and save yourself some cash. read more

I'm giving this place two stars. We pulled in looking for an overnight stop driving home. This is one of the first places we stopped at. Check in was okay, and the room my sister got, she notices brown bugs or knats as she thought they were. They were brown bugs that were crawling on her. She switched rooms with my mom. Our room had a bunch of fly poop on the bathroom counter, but otherwise seemed okay. And yes, the carpet seems dirty. read more

This is our first time at this hotel, but stay at Motel 6 a lot when we travel. Tonight was an experience, got to the room, clean as expected, but when we went to turn the TV on, not working at all. Had to manually turn it on, then went and tried to call the front desk, phone is dead as a door nail! Had to go back up to the front desk to get new batteries, remote now works, phone is still dead. Cami Dog & I Came from Central Illinois all the way to Sturgis SD. We left Monday before the Sturgis bike rally started but we did get to see a lot of cool things out there. Check in was awkward because the older white lady that checked me in seemed high on something. She had difficulty making eye contact with me but kept looking around, as if she was paranoid. The room was what you'd expect from just about any Motel 6...bed, clean linen, cable tv, toiletries, free WiFi. Sadly, my room didn't have a tub. But it did have a mini fridge and a microwave. I was also able to get a late checkout at noon instead of 11am. The manager was working the front desk when I checked out and he was very pleasant. Even recommended their local taxi service since Lyft doesn't work out here. read more

Awful. I arrived late, so had to check in through a tiny window, which didn't bother me. What bothered me was the absolute rudeness of the woman behind the window. There was a man standing behind me, and as a woman traveling alone, I did not want a stranger knowing my personal information. Instead of giving me a form to fill out, she had me answer the personal questions verbally. I was very uncomfortable. Hands down, one of the most unpleasant people I've ever encountered. When I finally get to my room (which she loudly announced so the man behind could hear)...The sheets were dirty, the pillow had some other person's hair on them. I stayed in the room for about 20 minutes before going to the office and asking for a refund. There were bugs flying around the light in front of the room, which I know the management hast no control of. However when I came into the room was when I saw the bugs that made me flee. There were numerous live and dead bugs on the floor. It was clear the floor hadn't been swept before I checked in. There were bugs alive and dead on the blankets, on the sheets, on the headboards, and under the blankets and yes, even between the mattresses, although they were all dead. I had a bag of fast food sitting on the tv stand and a huge beetle started walking to it. I grabbed my food, put it in the car, along with my unopened suitcase and went to the office. The man working was apologetic and offered me another room. I declined and left. I understand that it was the height of "bug season". Management can't control this. But not having a room cleaned before a guest arrives to the point were it appears that nothing had been cleaned in a while is unacceptable. My mother and I stopped in Mitchell on our way to Yellowstone. There was some sort of event going on and we were unable to book any of the hotels in Mitchell except for the Motel 6. We were not expecting much, but we were both pleasantly surprised. We were only able to reserve a smoking room online, but the man at reception (who it seemed probably ran the place) but he was able to move us to a non-smoking room. It wasn't anything spectacular, it was still a motel 6 (no fitness center, no coffee maker, thin comforters), but it was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the man who worked at the desk, who was very kind to us, and were impressed by how clean the bathroom was. read more

The room was disgusting. The bedding was dirty with crusted stains, Outside the bathroom on the ceiling, there was a removable panel that led to a crawl space from room to room. It was half on when i entered the room. There were warning signs all over the room advising you how to stay safe. I felt anything but safe. There was a patio area below me and people had set up there chairs and decided to party until 1am. the front desk lady did nothing to stop this. I stayed there last minute after drive all day and into the night. And this room was $85 with a senior discount. How is this place still open? read more

I was hesitant to stop and stay here but as I was traveling all day and it was midnight I figured how bad can it really be? The outside of the building is older but everything was very well cared for around the property including the pool. The clerk was pleasant. The price was extremely reasonable for tourist season. The rooms have been updated and were comfortable and clean. The air conditioner worked quickly to cool the room. Outside noise wasn't a problem. The only reason this gets a 4 star rating is it was a smoking room. It was all they had left. But, really, is it that hard to step outside to smoke? read more

We flew to NY to rescue a dog from the Brooklyn shelter. Once we got out of NY, didn't have data to use bringfido.com. Discovered Motel 6 allows dogs, NO FEE. We stayed at Motel 6 for rest of trip to LA. This property was awesome. Doggy bags near a pet area plus a trash can when fido is done. Kid ordered pizza, fried chicken and mashed potatoes from the restaurant on our key and I swear it was better than most I've had (except Brooklyn). Check in experience was awesome! I did a load of laundry. The vending machine didn't dispense but guy at counter opened machine to give me my treat. read more

We stayed one night on the way home from a week and a half road trip through the northwestern states. This motel 6 and one in Boise are by far the best properties I've ever stayed in under the brand. Check-in went fine, room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable, and we didn't have any trouble with anything. The property is just off of I-90 on the edge of town, noise and traffic are negligible. read more

This is one of the nicest economy motels we have been to. Front desk manager was friendly and the room was great. It looked like it had been fairly recently renovated. Great tub/shower, nice microwave and fridge, and lots and lots of plugins. Even a hair dryer. What more could one ask from a Motel 6? read more

Better than other Motel 6's we've stayed at. Got a cupon for a free drink at a local bar. Its what i would expect from a motel 6.

If flying insects are a hobby of yours, stay here. You will be able to collect flies and bees without the heat and bother of going outside.
