They are not dog friendly. They stuck me and my dog in the back quarters, where it is not clean. Also there is no safety lock to keep strangers out of the hallway to the outside- to the inside. They asked me to keep my service dog out of the dining area, even after I fell down and she helped me up. read more

The rooms were spotlessly cleaned and the entire building was clean and inviting. The sheets were soft and bed was so comfortable! I had many interactions with staff and they were all kind and helpful. The pool was fun for the kids and the hot tub was relaxing and warm. The coffee was great with a good selection of breakfast items. ! I have paid more than 3x this rate and this hotel exceeds them all! I will definitely look for Comfort Inn & Suites for our future traveling! read more

Comfort Inn & Suites - Pool - Hotels Near Me - Mitchell, South Dakota

We stayed here twice during our trip. Once in the way to Mount Rushmore, and once on the way back. Each time we were greeted with helpful employees, clean rooms, and good breakfast. We did not take advantage of their cool pool and water slide area, but a lot of guests did. I also was able to do laundry and get some work done in their business center. Overall good stay; would recommend! read more

This hotel hasn't changed since I stayed here in high school but in the best way. There's a hot breakfast, the rooms are clean, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. Our check in a bit odd but it was very late. Over all, for a 2 star hotel this is a pretty good stop. read more

We loved staying here!! The staff at the front desk was super friendly and kind when we arrived. We were placed in a room at the end of the hall on the first floor and it was quiet the whole night, despite the pool being down the hall. The room had a nice seating area and a spacious bathroom. The TV was a little dated, but we didn't mind! The highlight of this hotel is the waterslide. It is so so fun!! The lifeguard let us do our own thing because we are a little older and everyone there was having a blast. Even if you're an "adult" you need to try this waterslide. The stairs going up to it are a little run down, but the tubes are clean and look like new. If you're looking for a place to just relax in the pool or swim some laps, this isn't the place for you. The actual pool is only 4 feet deep and the waterslide takes up most of it. But it is so worth it! read more

Many kids running up and down the halls all day into the night. The elevator was not working and I am disabled. The stairs to the second floor were too much. Our room was also by the stairs so with the elevator out of order people were running up and down the stairwell slamming the door on their way. As for the pool there was no one watching it. The bigger kids were all over the pirate ship and my younger children could not enjoy it. The slide was not operational either. Mattress was too firm. Not a great stay. I asked for compensation but had to wait on the manager to arrive the front desk was not helpful at all. In fact she was down right rude. read more

Great service and food! Fun pool with slide! Will definitely be coming back again on my furies trips!

Love this place. We've stayed four times and each time has been perfect. The pool area is clean and great for older as well as younger kids. Open til 10pm which helps after a day of traveling. The breakfast is hot and the serving area is clean with friendly attendants. The front desk is always super nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and the location is within 5 min of any restaurant or store you might need. Cute little bar across the parking lot. Ice machines are always stocked and for some reason, We always find cute little frogs hopping around the parking lot read more

Stayed Sept. 2020 during Covid. Very nice dining area inside with free breakfast provided. Pool was closed but slide looks fun. Close to dining/ restaurants and gas so convenient for road travel. Elevator very small. Quiet and very comfortable beds for side or back sleeper. Plenty of pillows provided too. Bathroom in our room was a bit small. read more

Great! Friendly workers and great rooms and pool! Breakfast is good! I recommend this!!!!!

This hotel was very comfortable and pretty up to date as far as I could see. I was very happy with the check-in, and the front desk personnel were very business like and professional. I had reserved a king size bed for the night of 5/6/2022 and when I got to the room I was kind of puzzled to find 2 queen beds instead. I went back down to the desk and showed them my reservation specifically stating I reserved a king size bed. Apparently the general manager took it upon themselves to change my room without letting me know, either through email, text, or messenger pigeon. They ended up putting me in the king room that is handicapped accessible which was absolutely fine and actually ended up being better for me in the end, because the shower was walk in without having to step over the edge of the bathtub. I have to say, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the towels, washcloths, etc... were very well stocked and presented. The hotel puts on one heck of a breakfast too! They had everything you could imagine on the breakfast line. All in all this was a pretty good stay and I would stay here again. I could give 5 stars but the little switch the GM pulled seemed a little underhanded to me. read more

Used to be a fairly nice place but last time we stayed there, the mattresses were dirty and stained, there was a French fry between our mattresses and the room had a smell to it. The pool is big but def more geared towards kids; not adult friendly. read more

This was the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. The employees were super friendly and the bed was super comfy. We loved the waterslide and the lifeguard actually unlocked the gate so I could ride in one more time after it closed. I could barely hear the train that rumbled by due to the tracks being down in a ditch. I was so bummed when I saw the top 2" of the cars as they went by. This is definitely the place to stay on I 90 in South Dakota read more

Rooms are clean and quiet. Beds are comfortable. Windows open for fresh air if you like that. Continental breakfast is typical. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I was phoned when I left something behind in my room. Never had that happen before! The price is right and a little less than other nearby hotels. read more

Very family friendly with huge rooms and couch. Has an indoor pool with waterside and pirate ship too. Super nice hotel and pricing isn't bad for what you get. read more

Awesome hotel! Front desk is very friendly and helpful. They couldn't match a booking.com price but were willing to let me book that way..except I booked the wrong hotel, they were so helpful they gave it to me for a better price and told me to call to the other hotel to try to cancel. Pool area was very nice. Large hot tub, kiddie pool with play equipment and slide in other side of pool...only bad thing I can say is the water was chilly. Would def stay again if in the area! read more

Great time there. Choice hotel member. To the GM, Milissa was great. She is a great asset to you and the hotel. She took care of us both stays. July 12 and 18th, 2018. Hats off to her and to you for having a great employee on the front desk. read more

Large rooms, clean, but beds (under the cover' the blanket & top sheet) look wrinkled or sloppily made. I don't know why handicap rooms are always the furthest away, but that seems to be universal. The eve. clerk was very nice but failed to tell me that it would be shorter for me to go through the conference center door (back way) & I could also park there. I would have probably rated 4 stars if the effort had been made to direct me. There were no handicap places left & no parking places near the entrance, but plenty of space by this side entrance although one has to manually open 3 doors (2 heavy) rather than use the automatic front doors. Breakfast is included & the room has a fridge' as well as all the usual stuff. Also an ironing board. & WiFi is free. Best value in the Mitchell & Sioux Falls area. Discount for military if you have your green or blue card :) read more

By far the nicest Choice Hotel in SD. The rates arent too bad, breakfast is A+ and they also have a waterslide and a Pirate ship for the kids in the pool. If you have a choice to stay at the Comfort Suites in Sioux Falls or the one in Mitchell, I would choose Mitchell every time. They also have a sports bar, God Fathers pizza and a Ruby Tuesday all in the same parking lot. I have been staying here for years and Scarlet at the front desk is very helpfull if you have any questions. read more
