I can't thank the staff at The Poolside Shop for the phenomenal customer service I received today…read more I trust them when buying most things for our pool. Last year, almost a year from today, our pool pump motor took a dump. I went in and they attached my impeller to a new motor and installed a new motor shaft seal and all on the same day. Today my wife called while I was at work and said our pump wasn't working. After a little investigating it seemed the pump motor was out again. Looked at it and it seemed there had been a leak under the bottom of the motor. Took it in to Mark and he deemed the motor shaft seal had failed. Took my motor, told me he get me a new motor, attached an upgraded shaft seal and attached the impeller. They called as promised, same day service, and it was warrantied. If you need pool items or any supplies I highly suggest you go see Mark and the team at The Poolside Shop for honest and reliable service.

Grant came out (during a snow storm!) for the initial estimate. He tested our water and explained everything clearly. I previously had our water tested by an independent lab and, even though Grant did not know about these lab results, everything he said lined up with the lab results I had. I appreciate the honesty in something that seems like it can sometimes be a shady business. Mike came out for the install. I liked that he came with the right tools for the job and clearly knew what he was doing. He made sure everything was done exactly right and explained the water softener in detail. We have been using them for salt deliveries, which have been on time and reliable. Water Boy feels like a very wholesome and positive family company, which I very much prefer over some faceless corporation with cheesy sales people.

Very educational experience... they tested my "treated" city water and it had a scary amount of chlorine and hardness. Tim was great to work with, he helped us plan out the pool design and depths that would work best for our family and our backyard layout. The entire crew was timely and respectful of our property. When we ran into a "snag" during our first day of digging, Tim and his team came up with a solution quickly and worked with us, while we came up with an alternative dig layout location. When the pool was completed, Tim came back to give us a lesson on how to use the equipment in the future, and to this day had been accessible if we had a question regarding the pool. We cannot imagine a better company and crew to choose to work with for your families pool needs!

Originally, I used Pool and Spa because the previous owner had recommended them. It seems as though it must be a family business? When I first called, I spoke to a woman who I think was the wife of the owner. She was very nice and promised that someone would come out to show us how to use the pool (since we were new owners) when they opened up the pool. She also said they would vacuum to waste the pool after they opened up the pool. When the guys came out, I mentioned that I was told they would show us how to run the pool. They said they would get us after they opened up the pool. Not only did they NOT teach us how to run the pool, they didn't vacuum to waste the pool either but charged us for both services (over $100!). When I called to complain, I spoke to the same woman who again was really nice. She made an excuse that the guys were busy with many openings and said she would send them out again to vacuum to waste the pool. They came out again and eventually did the vacuum to waste. Of course, I made the mistake of using them again for the closing. Mostly because the lady called at the end of the season to ask about the closing and she was super nice again. I thought that I would give them a second change but I was once again disappointed because they were supposed to vacuum to waste the pool before closing it. I didn't trust that they would, so I made sure to check after they had left and I could see that they hadn't done it! When I called to ask if they had, they said that they didn't but on the bill they once again charged me for it!! I made them come back out and open up the pool to vacuum it out! On top of that, they broke my vacuum head, lost my hose nozzle, and ruined my hose! During that time, I had the chance to speak to an older man (I'm assuming the husband/owner of the company) was very rude on the phone. If you plan on using them to open/close your pool, make sure to check your bill so that you are only charged for services that they've provided! After being charged 3 times for services that I didn't received, I decided they could not be trusted anymore. After all, they were charging me for bottles of chlorine, etc that I'm not even sure if they actually put into my pool or not.
