I did enjoy that we were instructed to take our socks off (as opposed to caves that ask you to keep socks on), as much as it felt odd at first, I feel like I got more of the salt's benefits by having my bare feet in it. The people have always been very nice, and the salon is clean. I think my only complaint is that one month they said my autopay was declined, so I pulled out my credit card and gave it to her. She ran it for an additional $10 without mentioning it, and it went through without an issue. When i went to sign the slip I asked why it was $65 for one month of tanning, and she said it was because my card was declined and there's a fee for bounced payments. I called Chase right in front of her to ask why they declined a regular ongoing charge, and the guy said there were no declines on their end so it must've been an issue with the terminal at the point of service. She listened to my conversation with the representative, and my repeating what he said back to him, that Chase did *not* decline my payment, it must've been a glitch on Tanlines' end, and still wouldn't refund the $10 so I was overcharged that month, which sucked. That's what made me leave and go to a salon closer to me-- not the $10 charge, but the principle of not being willing to fix the error. Fortunately for Tanlines, my new salon was a bit unsanitary (carpet in tanning rooms?!?!), so I came back. It's worth the one-time overcharge of $10! (....Ok fine, i still wish they hadn't done it, but whatever, I guess.)

Just walking in the door, you are immediately relaxed with calming music, water fountains, and a very nice , light scent in the air. The owner needs more help than just managing a gym--he really should seek professional therapy, as he clearly doesn't have the skills needed to run a business or create a healthy, positive environment. No wonder they call it the YMCA of Greater Toledo, because Toledo really is much Greater because…read morethis gym exists. I can't believe I'm saying this, but... This gym is one of the best YMCAs I have ever used. It's not shiny and new, nor is it the largest, nor does it have the most equipment. But everything I used was in good working order and well laid out and easy to find and obviously these people care about their patrons. They let me enter without calling my home gym to verify me and I appreciate the trust. Just a really great bunch of people. I even had a long extended conversation with the guy at the front desk about how he used to live in Buffalo on the west side and how it has changed over the years. He hasn't been back in decades. I had just driven from Buffalo that very night. They open up at 4:30 in the morning which is excellent. They have some cute show offy girls working out here, wearing outfits that are against the rules, and that you would not see in my home gym. That was pretty awesome actually. And there are always staff members on the floor who know everybody by name ready to help out. They don't know me by name of course. But maybe they will, after this review. Now I think this gym is great, but I have to go and do something even greater. Or should I say, someone.

For the most part all equipment is functional but there are pieces that need fixed regularly. The staff are very nice (except one) and always willing to help when needed.
