Serious Safety Failure Involving a 7-year-old child…read more I am extremely disappointed and appalled by my experience with this transportation service that is hired through the MISD. On Monday 8/17/26 my 7-year-old son, rode bus 165 home from school for the Very First Time and he was dropped off in a completely DIFFERENT neighborhood across the street from ours!!! Between that location and ours is a very Busy highway!! I attempted to contact the transportation department earlier that day trying to find out where the bus was and make sure my son was safe when the bus was already significantly delayed past the expected arrival time, but I was unable to get in contact with anyone from the dispatch office. This was not a minor inconvenience or a simple transportation mistake. This was a serious child-safety failure! Their website states "There is nothing more important to us than safety, one of our core values" it also states that their safety program is designed to ensure "all students are safe at all times when in our care" and that their "number one responsibility is to protect against harm" and provide safe and reliable services. Those are powerful promises to parents. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite of those promises! I am also extremely disappointed by the driver's response when I confronted him about what happened. Rather than apologizing, showing concern for what had happened to a 7 y/o child, or accepting any responsibility, he instead argued with me and appeared unwilling to acknowledge any accountability for the situation! Parents entrust their children to transportation services believing that there are systems, procedures, training, and safeguards in place to make sure they are safely transported and released at the correct location. In this case, those safeguards clearly failed my son! I am thankful beyond words that my son made it home safely. But I should never have had to rely on another parent's intervention and my son's emergency preparedness to make that happen. If students' safety truly is your "number one responsibility," as your website states, then I strongly urge this company to take serious look at what went wrong with Bus #165, the driver's conduct, it's tracking and drop-off procedures, and it's communication with parents. Our children deserve better than this. Safety cannot simply be a statement on a website-it has to be demonstrated through actions!

The vehicle that showed up didn't have any seat belts, and when I called to inquire they said the other vehicle was being serviced for AC. I would have liked to know earlier only because the seat belt issue was so pivotal and it put people in an uncomfortable spot trying to decide whether to pass on a really fun holiday family time or just take a risk with babies on board. This bus was also dirty from use, visible dust on seats & dust coming out of AC vents. There were several tech issues that made the day-of confusing (Google calendar invites for the ride canceling, then moving from our scheduled time from 6pm to 4pm, a different driver from the original text message, and the driver telling me tip wasn't included though I certainly had paid the 20% up front). Our driver was patient and accommodating (Melvin) to the confusion while I called the company to figure out next steps, and after the ride when I showed him I already pre-paid his tip. All in all the front end of this company was great, the back end was kind of a mess. To their credit, they did offer a full refund to me if I didn't take the ride and were apologetic. I'd go with another company if you need something super specific like seat belts and want better communication up front if things change with your ride.

I'll start from the beginning and include pics at the end as proof of our experience. We went to mckinney limousine website to book a stretch limo. Website is nice and user friendly. You are able to pick day, time, and vehicle. Shows all prices at that time. You are able to book directly on website and pay. After booking you will get a "confirmation" and a reservation number. Great! Right? $600 for 4 hours. Next day we call to confirm as we are responsible for making sure 10 people will be picked up and dropped off for prom. The guy takes our reservation number and then says "sorry it will be double on the rate plus 20% cause it's a busy time and you are a last minute booking. And rates are subject to change at anytime" now this is after booking and paying online!!! I tell him I understand it's a busy time but this is what you have posted on website. He then says " it's very clear on site rates are subject to change at anytime". Who runs a business like that? I tell him that is fine, and that I will be leaving a bad review stating all this. He then tells me " I am trying to scam him and I can't leave a review if service hasn't been rendered" so I inform him his service is start to finish from booking till we get out of the car. He again calls me a scammer so I ended the call. I have to question most of the positive reviews this company has after this experience. Left maybe by friends and family. I don't know. But who or what business allows you to book online at the price they set all to turn around and say it's busy if you want it I'll charge you double plus 20%?? Not a business that I am willing to do business with. And last of all this is the best part. I screen shot his policy before I spoke with him. Then I screen shot his policy after I spoke with him. He went and changed his policy to state proms must be a 6hr minimum and to call ahead. You will see he changed this cause I told him I was leaving a bad review.
