There are only a few good places to eat at Frankfurt airport and this happens to be one of them. This place was empty when I went in and I got to sit immediately. The choices are plenty. You also have a lot of vegetarian options at this place. I had the green tea and the vegetarian ramen noodle - the best ever I have had in a long time. Fresh veggies, tasty noodles and a broth that was super flavorful. I highly recommend this place and will visit again as I pass thru FRA.

They call this ramen????

Paid 38 euro for 2 bowls of the most pathetic attempt at ramen. I sat at the bar and watched the guy poor broth from a big hot water dispenser. He then threw 2 concoctions in microwaves, then mixed all together in a bowl. Shame on me for ordering ramen here but the pics looked good and it was the only place open as I was getting out a flight 5 mins bfore all restaurants were shutting down. This was the worse bowl of ramen I've ever had. I would take cup of noodles over this and save 37 euro. If you are not from Germany eat anywhere but here for the love of god

MoschMosch is a simple ramen plus Asian fusion shop inside the quietest international terminal I've ever been in. I had a three hour layover in Frankfurt en route to Abu Dhabi and had the Frühlingserwachen, the vegetarian ramen with tofu, snow peas, bean sprouts, etc. The broth was pretty bland, and required generous doses of the hot sauce on the table. That drives me nuts: billions of people have learned to make vegetarian food NOT bland, but those strategies get lost in translation when the cuisine moves west. To quote Matthew Berry, "so frustrating!" Plus, the tofu was also not absorbing any flavor. Tofu seriously gets a bad rap when put in bland broth. And on the service side, there was only one server running the bar and all the seated customers, which made for a long wait and awkward "Okay, how do I order my food?" moments. I guess the one redeeming quality of this place is that the ambiance was relaxing. Overall, this place is probably above par for airport food, but that's not saying mu

Nothing special. Like any other airport restaurants. Blunt. Over salted food prepared fast to make money.

SAKURA Sushi Cafe in Frankfurt - Christmas Tree Special

Yes, they're owned by Japanese, but no, it doesn't mean it's authentic or good…read more We were super stoked to find a Japanese owned restaurant with stellar reviews near our hotel (Yay! No more sausages and potatoes!), but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. We ordered the Christmas tree special for the 2 of us and it came with lots of rolls, but most of them tasted mediocre. Some of the raw fish weren't even fresh. Also, the sauces didn't go well with the sushi. Maybe my standards are too high because I'm from California. It's sad to say that the sushi at our Japanese supermarkets are better than this. Service was a bit slow, but our waiter was very polite and friendly. If you're looking for a quality Japanese restaurant, this isn't the place to be.

We headed over to Sakura and were immediately welcomed by the Japanese host. He was very patient and quickly arranged a table for us in their quaint covered courtyard. The fact that all 7 of us could drop in on a late Saturday afternoon with no reservation was amazing. Our waiter was at least tri-lingual and very attentive with our requests (not gonna lie...some people in this group are needy). Food arrived fairly quickly and was phenomenal. Some of the best sushi I have had in Europe! 10/10 will be back!

So basically if there is one country that I'm completely enamored by the food but don't know a whole lot about it, it is Japan. Sure, we have all had sushi and ramen, but I have never really had too much else aside from hibachi style whatnots. I find sushi in Frankfurt not too great, but I have found some decent ramen here. I just never really thought much else about Japanese food here until I went to Konamon. You won't find ramen or sushi on the menu at Konamon. They specialize in okonomiyaki and takoyaki. They also offer some small dishes for appetizers. All is reasonably priced. They also have Kirin on tap. I ordered the pork okonomiyaki which was more or less a bacon like product as well as one order of octopus takoyaki. Both were stellar. I had the spicy miso with the okonomiyaki and their special house sauce with the takoyaki. Another great thing about this place is that I can walk there within 15 minutes and I have a bad feeling this could be dangerous for me in the future. Discovering this gem may be one of my summer highlights. The customer service is fantastic here and prompt. The takoyaki does take about thirty minutes to cook, on the other hand, so be prepared to wait a bit and enjoy a Kirin in the process. I don't have anything to compare this place to as I have never had Japanese food in Japan or even just Japanese food like this. But I left satisfied and feeling like I discovered a place I will go back to quite often, so I am extremely happy.
