Truly, I am happy that they even have tables on the main level that accommodate those with mobility aids. However, that being said, I am struggling to recall if there would be a easy enough way for a wheelchair or even a walker to make it to the main door. I'll have to remember to focus on that long enough before my next crepe eating bliss hits. As Cowichan Bay is a popular area to stop for meals, do plan to go in advance for parking. As even if there are a few spots for the restaurant, there isn't enough space to accommodate the full restaurant. If you are able to find a spot at the restaurant or are double parking at the restaurant (which is apparently allowed), it is good to let the server know what vehicle is yours. Beyond more than mention "I've parked my vehicle here", so a server can notify you if people need to be let out of the space if they're leaving before you're done. If you don''re not lucky enough to grab a parking spot right at the restaurant, you might have to go far up the road (sometimes almost to the hotel) or down the road (towards the parking area by the pubic washrooms) to reach any parking options. Definitely try it out if you are looking fit an option in Cowichan Bay. I know I'm looking forward to many more future happy crepe eating moments here with friends.

Our server was a family member of the family owned business and boy was she really nice. She filled our travelling water bottles with ice and fresh water for the road trip to Earls Cove, then helped us through ordering a build your own breakfasts kind of deal as we wanted eclectic items. The overeasy eggs - while normally pretty basic by short order standards - were actually done perfectly. No greasy fried bits showing just perfect circular eggwhites and yolks. The sourdough toast was simple but tasted thick and "meaty" with just the right amount of butter. Yes, sounds silly to nail down superlative descriptions for basic toast, but hey, it seemed like everything had that home cooked vibe about it where food is made with care and concern. The pancakes were beyond basic as one member of my family who loves flapjacks noted the fluffy texture and classic taste perfection. The indecisive one of us finally asked for a burger and mashed potatoes at 10:30am. No problem was the reply. Our daughter dug in immediately at its serving and again, all smiles and dripping juices. I had the Skoocumchuk Chicken Burger with a Cascadia salad, and Rob had the Peppercorn Sirloin Pasta with garlic bread -- something he orders fairly often. Rob said this was honestly the best the pasta has ever been. It had just the right amount of sauce, wasn't too spicy, and was perfectly balanced. Sometimes it can be a little too saucy -- almost like soup -- but this time it was spot on! The garlic bread was also cooked perfectly and wasn't burnt, which we've unfortunately had happen in the past. My chicken burger and salad were great as well, and overall we were really happy with our meals. The only thing we noticed is that the restaurant itself could use a little TLC. Some of the wood panels are missing quite a bit of trim and a few areas are starting to look a little worn and in need of repair. Nothing that affected our meal, but definitely noticeable. Food-wise, though, this visit was a winner. Whoever was in the kitchen that night nailed that Peppercorn Sirloin Pasta!
