WARNING: DO NOT USE MORSE MOVING & STORAGE
I posted in a GIRL's group on Facebook in January that I was looking for movers. I said I was willing to pay the money, I just didn't want to get swindled. I want to warn everyone about Emily Weeks and her moving company, because absolutely nothing is being done to fix the traumatic experience I had.
I paid over $4,000 expecting a professional, stress-free move. What I got instead was trauma, broken belongings, and some of the rudest movers I've ever encountered.
I hired Morse for a confirmed move on March 1 at 2:00PM, agreed in writing on FEBRUARY 5. Days before the move, they suddenly tried to show up five hours early, which violated our lease. After back-and-forth calls, they agreed to the original time.
Then on moving day, while we were literally driving to Chicago, they called to say they couldn't come at all and would arrive the next day instead. We had nowhere to stay that night and lost my sister's cat in the chaos.
The next day they showed up late, were rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. They pressured us about the size of the load, claimed things wouldn't fit, and caused me to have a severe CPTSD episode that left me hiding in the bathtub during the entire move.
They broke our TV, and are refusing to take responsibility, and demanded payment upfront before finishing the job.
This company is a disaster. The lack of care, the emotional toll, and the blatant disregard for our time, money, and wellbeing was beyond unacceptable. I've filed a formal BBB complaint, and I'm sharing this so others don't get blindsided the way we did.
You deserve better. Avoid Morse at all costs read more
