If I had only one word to describe our experience with this law firm, I would have to say sorry I…read moreneed more words...something like cheated, disappointed, failed, let down. Yep, that sums it up. Going through this situation I did have to put my humility on check. I put my trust in an attorneys office. Wow, what a mistake. In the first meeting with the legal assistant she proceeded to tell us about another client, an elderly lady that called her with annoying questions about her case. She went on to say that the elderly lady was crying and scared she could not buy her adult diapers with the budget she was under. Not only did this legal assistant smile she laughed. I felt nocuous at the inhumanity she was displaying. I should have know right then it wasn't a good fit if the firm allowed that behavior. Well I wont bore you with all the other details, but on my own I found a way to get it all paid off and settled early. During that process I had questions and I was told by the office that I wasn't there only client and I would have to just wait and they would get back in touch with me. I called the trustee directly an got the necessary information literally in 2 minutes, then basically forced the attorneys office to file the necessary paperwork they had not done yet. They cost be over 4 extra weeks of this nightmare. That is a fact. Please know you can spend your money anywhere, you should spend it with people who care and will help make positive difference in your situation.

In this case, unable to handle getting dumped by his ex, Plaintiff - Mr. Atchuthan Sriskandarajah (an attorney himself) - filed a defamation complaint against his ex & two other parties. The complaint was rather stupid and had very little substance. Mr. Lee Berlik represented the Defendants and absolutely crushed the Plaintiff. In fact, during discovery, when the Plaintiff realized that the case was backfiring on him, it was hilarious to see the Plaintiff cave in so quickly from his original request of $2.5 million down to 10,000 dollars. In the end, Plaintiff did not get even a penny & his case didn't make it past the demurrer. Plaintiff even tried going to the supreme court but the supreme court did not even want to listen to such a stupid complaint. I know enough about defamation law to tell a good attorney from a bad one. Lee is the best defamation attorney & knows the law inside out. I would highly recommend Lee!

Our initial consultation was well worth the initial consultation fee. In other words, she kept it streamline, asked pertinent questions and most importantly took down my emotions so we could get to business. I left her office confident she was the perfect advocate for my child. Ms. Proper knows her sh** and is highly regarded in her area of expertise. She knew the 'players' in Prince William County. She navigated the specific high school and the Kelley Center Special Needs Department. At the conclusion of our case, we chose to have her prepare a Medical Power of Attorney for which gave our family peace of mind. Now, what prompted this review? The unfair review of Ms. Proper which was unwarranted. Most attorneys require an initial consultation fee; their time is not free. Ms. Proper's fee is actually quite low and she doesn't mince words. Ms. Proper is an active listener, is sensitive to your needs, provides education on the law then informs if you have a case. If you have a case, she lays out the costs; either you seek representation or you don't. Ms. Proper also gives back to the community. What do I mean?
