I called Morris Roofing on a weekday, during business hours and got an answering machine. The message on the machine said to call them on the cell phone number "if I had it". I did not have the cell phone number, nor was it listed on their site. So I left my name, number, and address on their machine, stating I needed an estimate for a new roof. Adam and his team are absolutely phenomenal. They are truly focused on QUALITY and making sure they do things right! The job took longer than expected BUT it was only because they refused to accept low quality parts from their vendor. Adam made sure I knew what they were putting in and why and kept me informed every step of the way. As part of the work, he and his crew discovered that one of the solar tubes wasn't installed correctly. He made she he showed me what was wrong and managed to get a replacement that matched. No more random leaves can get in now. After 2 winters of water leaks on the flat portion of the roof, I have no worries about anything going wrong with my roof for years to come. On Monday, 2-6-23, I called Morris Roofing for an estimate to reinstall a vent cap that blew off our roof. The cap was still good and just needed screwing back on. I chose them because they are a local company. I spoke with a gentleman who said his grandfather founded the company in 1959 and they have been here ever since. He said he would likely handle it that afternoon but if not he would have someone out by the end of the week. He took my name, address, and telephone number. By Friday, 2-10-23, no one had gotten back to us so I called again. No one answered this time so I left a message inquiring if anyone was coming out that afternoon. I asked for a call back. Today is Wednesday, 2-15-23, and no one has called or come by. This is very poor customer service. read more

Adam and his crew did a wonderful job. We had to coordinate the roofing job with the installation of solar panels and then an electrical update. The whole process took about two months, longer than everybody expected but that was the result of the city inspector taking his sweet time. Adam runs a good ship, I'd hire him again. read more

Although the employees were very nice, I was a bit disappointed in the communication about our job. Maybe we were the outlier, but we definitely did not have a 4 star, let alone 5 star, experience. We got quotes and signed a contract. Then there were HUGE delays due to the rain. I am talking about MONTHS. So all that time when it was pouring, rain was leaking into the home, which eventually led to even more severe water damage than there already was. I understand they couldn't do anything about the rain, but the communication was lacking. Initially, when the rains started we got an email in October. I let them know we'd be ready to start end of October when termite tenting was done (which they suggested). No response. Every so often I would text or email asking for details about when they would start our job and sometimes we got an answer right away, sometimes we didn't, but when I did get an answer it seemed it was either "Oh, I'll get back to you when I get to the office" and then nothing, or "Oh yeah sorry, we should get to you soon". I realize that since our house was vacant perhaps they didn't feel our job was as urgent. But we were just lucky it WAS vacant, bc I can't imagine having to live in the house for the entire winter w/our roof leaking! They finally got to us in mid-January. There was so little communication and response, I thought they had ditched out on us, so I actually went and got another quote with another company, who I basically was getting ready to hire on the spot because they could start that week. Fortunately/unfortunately, Morris called the next day and I checked with my family member who said that since we had signed the contract, we had to stay with them. All that to say, 1. If you sign a contract, if at all possible, make sure it says something about what happens if there are delays to your project 2. maybe Morris shouldn't book more jobs if it's raining (if that's what contributed to the backlog--from the initial email it sounded like there were several of us in October that were delayed, so there was no reason for them to take on more jobs) and 3. improve the communication of where we are in the queue for jobs. That initial email would've been great every couple of weeks to keep us abreast of the situation. The estimate was also off by about $1500+. When asked about it, instead of simply explaining that estimates are estimates and maybe what kept them from more accuracy, they blamed it on damage to the roof not being repaired years earlier, etc. That may be the case, but that really annoyed me and put me on the defensive, because REALLY? You're going to lecture me about my mom who had suffered a serious stroke in emergency heart surgery for not fixing her roof sooner and blame the extra expense on us not doing a job sooner, after delaying a job I signed a contract for by months? So my 4th suggestion would maybe be to not be so quick to blame a customer when they're asking a simple question about the bill, particularly when they've been kept waiting and you ask them to write you a review on Yelp. I actually wasn't going to write a review because I didn't like not being able to write something more positive, but then I got an email asking me to, so that's why I'm here. Note: I was billed about 2 weeks after the job, so they were timely about that. read more

The rains from last week uncovered two leaks from the roof. Adam was very responsive and explained in detail the work that was going to be needed and the materials they were going to use. His crew was on time, finished the job in two days and hauled all the debris away. They guarantee their work for 5 years so hoping it rains again soon to confirm the leaks have been fixed. I cannot thank Adam Morris and the wonderful Morris Roofing crew for solving our flat roof leaking problem on our 50 year old house. A problem we had for years with roof replacement and other "fixes." We were always told you can't have a flat roof without leaks. We installed a TPO roof. Adam explained why this roof would solve our leaking issues and it has! It's been raining for 2 days and not a leak. By this time, before our new roof, we would have had at least 3 major leaks and our garage would have been flooded. Not only did Morris Roofing do a professional job, they replaced and painted the wood trim around our house and garage that had deteriorated. This was a custom, labor intensive job that had to be done by hand. Thank you Adam and crew, it looks fantastic! We had solar panels but shortly after our roof was completed our panels failed. Adam recommend a great solar company, Pell Solar, we hired them to replace our old system. First of all, let me state that I am not in any way affilliated with Morris Roofing and have received no discount or any other compensation for this review. I am just a very satisfied customer that would like to share my story in the hopes that it can make somebody else's choice easier. After the heavy rains that we received this year, it became obvious we would need a new roof soon. The granules were dropping from our old roof by the bucketful and the fibers were starting to show. I wanted to get the roof redone before I NEEDED to get the roof done, it that makes sense. I called four roofing companies for estimates and spoke with the roofers as they were on the roof to check out the situation. Of the four companies, I had the most confidence in Adam Morris as he talked to me about what he saw and what was needed. My wife said to me right after he left "I bet he is going to be the highest bid, but I hope it is still in the ballpark". We both had a great initial impression and hoped for the best. Now, I typically do not go for the lowest bid on a job because I figure that they must be cutting some corners to get the bid down. I just hoped the Morris bid was close to what the others came in with. As luck would have it, Morris came in as the lowest bid by about $1000! Adam took the time to go over the materials that he would be using and I independently verified what he said to me by doing a ton of research on my own. My best suggestion is to go onto forums where roofers talk among themselves and check out what they have to say about certain materials, like underlayment and shingles as well as ventillation. What I found is that Adam was completely honest and up front with me from the very beginning. Finally, the total cost came right in line with what was on the estimate. The estimate detailed work to be done and laid out the cost for replacement of wood where it is needed. There were NO hidden costs and I got a better than fair price for excellent work. One final note: My wife and I were expecting a baby and wanted to get the new roof on before the scheduled delivery date of our daughter. We signed the contract for work to be completed by May 23, 2017. Our daughter had other Ideas and came a week early. This company came through and not only got the work done on time, but when Adam learned the baby was a week early, he got his crews out to my house ahead of schedule and had them working overtime. The end result was that we brought our new daughter home to a finished roof a full week before the contract date. I truly believe that my experience with Adam Morris and his crews is not unique. They never seemed like they were doing something special, it just seemed like they always work this way. I would be completely comfortable recommending Morris Roofing to anybody that may ask. In a time where we, as consumers expect to be swindled or ripped of by everybody; it is such a wonderful thing to come across a company that is so honest and hard working. I was getting tired of replacing tar and gravel hot mopped flat roof in my Placentia single family rental every 10 to 15 years. I had already done it two or three time so I wanted to try something different this time. I started researching and got interested in single ply but it was more popular for commercial and there is confusion whether to do PVC or TPO. Somehow I managed to call Morris Roofing and I asked Adam if he is familiar with replacing flat hot mopped residential with single ply. His answer " we do it all the time " surprised me. I met him at house that afternoon and he showed me a job he just finished similar to mine and that got me sold. He recommended TPO and I decided on 80 mil. It took him a while to start as he had eight jobs ahead of me but once started , it went pretty quickly and finished on time. Once our roof was started it went quickly and professionally. It looks great. The guys came every day until it was done and even came back and painted my house since the new roof was lower than the old tiles. I did find out when you are doing a roof you need to be patient. A good company is very booked up and it was 3 months before it was started. I suggest you speak personally to Adam and if you have any questions call him because he is very personable and honest and will answer all our questions. A couple times I emailed instead of calling and that form of communication was not as good. Also plan in your budget for additional costs of replacing bad wood. It was in contract but I really forgot all about it. So it made our price go up a few thousand dollars. So ask a lot of questions and communicate well. We got several quotes from roofing companies and Morris roofing was very reasonable compared to some of the others. The workmanship and quality of the roof was outstanding. We are very happy with the outcome. Our roof was done at a time when there were a lot of storms coming through one after another. We needed it done asap and ended up getting it done in a timely manner. Our only complaint was the communication. We didn't know when it was going to get done until it happened. It was so refreshing to hire a contractor who gave me a fair price (thousands less than the three other quotes we got) and then to have that contractor do what they promised. We hired them to replace our roof with a lifetime warranted asphalt shingle. They showed up on time, worked a whole day, had the job done on time and on budget, and cleaned up after themselves. Although their work was good - Warning! Do not pay final payment until you are completely satisfied. Last December, 2009, Morris Roofing repaired a portion of our roof. The color of the replacement tiles did not match. Adam Morris promised to return and paint the tiles to match. We started following up in January 2010. Adam Morris finally came out and took a tile so he could get the paint to match - that was 3 months ago and we haven't heard from him since, even though we have religiously called him. Now our paint doesn't match and we are missing a tile! Don't trust a gentlemen's agreement with Adam Morris or Morris Roofing!! read more

Do NOT hire Mooris Roofing. Have had nothing but problems with leaks and broken tiles and they do not stand behind their work..They installed Ridge top tiles by cutting flat tiles in half and glued them together. 70 feet of Ridge Cap tiles had to be torn off and replaced. My new roofing contractor said he had never seen anything like this in 25 years. He also saw many short cuts that were taken at time of installation, which resulted in many repairs on a so called (expensive) life time tile roof.. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Morris Roofing. We noticed a leak in my mom's roof this winter when the rains came. We were able to tarp it while we searched for a company to replace her roof. We were referred by several neighbors to Morris Roofing. The rain did not let up for several months and Morris had many jobs ahead of my mom's. They came over and redid our tarp so it would remain secure until the weather permitted her job to begin. During this time my mom had knee replacement surgery. Adam and his team made it a point to stop by my mom's house for several weeks and assist her with wheeling her trash cans to the curb and back up the next day even though they weren't yet replacing her roof! Once her job began, Adam kept us informed of progress, his team was professional, clean and timely. We couldn't be happier with our choice in Morris Roofing. We had our roof completely torn off and replaced by Morris Roofing in August, 2016. Adam Morris was our sales person and overall general contractor. He was reasonable, price competitive, and his team worked extremely hard onsite. The roof came out beautiful and we couldn't have been more pleased with their work. We also had solar installed (35 panels) immediately after the roof completion, and they worked seamlessly with our Solar company, Pell Solar (also highly recommended).
