He offers a quote over pictures via text. His rate was one of the most competitive with availability in the near term. There was another company that I was considering, but decided to go with Northern Tile Works because Alex was very professional in communication. On the day of the appointment, Alex texted me an ETA. He came to inspect the issue and started working right away. You could tell that he is extremely detail oriented and takes pride in his hard work! He was very respectful of our property, which is always an added bonus when working with contractors. He even went beyond what we asked and helped fix a bathroom counter mold issue. We are very pleased with his work! I was a little hesitant with the booking initially because not many Yelp reviews here, but he has many Google reviews. It included color sealing a tiled kitchen counter with extremely stained grout that could not be cleaned. Also color sealing three floors and two tiled bay windows. Everything is completely transformed. It's early days, but even the countertop has been easy to maintain despite the insults of a busy kitchen. We had one glitch. The technician applied samples of several colors to each part of the job. The one I picked for one of the floors looked very unattractive to me once it was applied to the entire floor. It wasn't Sir Grout's fault, but Chris worked with me to find a very fair solution. By the time the technician left the floor looked great. I also showed Chris a fully tiled bathroom. Aside from the floor, which we did color seal, Chris recommended skipping that room since it is in such good shape and showers can get expensive. It is refreshing to find a company that does not oversell. I think that Chris takes a very long term view of his company and values loyal customers over short term revenue. So I can highly recommend Sir Grout!

Neolith is a…read morerelatively new sintered material that looks great and relative to marble and quartzite does not stain or etch. So it has the visual attractiveness of marble without the headaches. But for it to be installed properly it requires experience, precision and the correct workshop equipment. See the several horror stories on Houzz, a result of inexperienced installers. After a lot of research I chose A and S stone, Ipswich. Ma Their workshop has all the correct blades, used in the cutting of neolith. And David devotes a lot of time to matching all the slabs and asks the customer to review them. When installation time arrived, David and his son were punctual, and all pieces were installed with perfect alignment. Not a mark or scratch on the floor. Final result: a beautiful Neolith kitchen. I would wholeheartedly recommend A and S stone. They are consummate professionals!
