It has a nice aquatic vibe all throughout the restaurant with different rooms to dine in. I started with the seafood platter. For $60, you get a whole tray full of crab legs, lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, corn, and potatoes. I'm not a big seafood boil person but this one was valid. I enjoyed it. It was random but they also have popcorn but it was good so I'm not complaining. Then I ordered the popular honey garlic wings with the trifecta: Mac & cheese, candied yams, and collard greens. The wings were crispy and fresh. Plus the honey garlic sauce was really good. I understand the hype. I seen the lobster fries all over my feed so I ordered them. They use thick cut fries and the lobster on top is creamy. For my second platter I got Catfish with steamed cabbage and potato salad. You can tell they freshly fry the fish. Plus the batter is seasoned well. The cabbage lowkey has a kick which I liked and the potato salad has a subtle sweetness. I'm not mad at it though. Lastly I ordered the lobster Mac. Coated with a whole layer of cheese. You get lobster bits all throughout. Service was good. Lighthouse is definitely a solid spot whether you're taking out or dining in with a lot of options to choose from.

Some of the crawfish still had eggs attached to the tail, and the mussels definitely were not fresh; they were mushy. I also ordered fried oysters that were mushy and tasted like crab mustard. The fries were undercooked and soggy, and the chicken nuggets were so pale you couldn't tell if they actually went into the fryer. Lastly, I got an order of wings, ranch, and garlic parmesan. The skin was nice and crispy, but the inside was dry, and the only thing I tasted was oil, not even a hint of garlic. This is my first and last time ordering from this establishment.

The door was unlocked and when I got inside, it was dark and there was one employee present, with his head down. He then asked me if it was 1pm several times like he's not even tracking the time/ no device or watch near him, then I'm like it's 1:15pm. He is the only employee present (basically cashier, cook & anything else). I asked him about the lunch specials and to clarify which meals the deal applied to, he pointed to a chalk board with a bunch of options, I chose one from the list. Claimed order would take about 5 mins, took 15 extra minutes, made me late to work. Then when the food came out, it was $30 and the 2nd employee who had come in (late) claimed they didn't have the lunch deal anymore. I clarified that I asked the person cooking in the back (only other person there) when I arrived SPECIFICALLY about which meals the deal applied to and he gave me the choices on the board. She then looked around with a dumb look like she was confused, despite him just having given me that misinformation and he stayed quiet in the back. She basically just said well this is how much it is, expecting me to pay $30 for a meal they falsely advertised as a lunch deal. Kindly left the whole order there and said I'll talk to Yelp. Don't advertise a deal from 1-4pm and have it in writing and have employees confirming it exists and then once the food is made, expect someone to be SCAMMED and pressured into paying full price. Very disorganized, unprofessional and dishonest. What kind of business has employees forgetting to open, sleeping in the dark, other employee showing up even more late and then falsely advertises a lunch deal and the employees aren't even on the same page on whether or not it exists. Feel like they were trying to take advantage and exploit me for my $, despite it being their mistake and expecting me to just pay like a clown. Ridiculous I was late back to work, despite it being a 2 min walk from my job and me being the first customer there, 15 mins after opening. Just to not even get any food and starve all day because they advertise a lunch deal to pull people in and then charge them full price like SCAMMERS. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE WASTED TIME AND EMPTY STOMACH. Love supporting my Black businesses but the few that operate like they're doing somebody a favor, or serving a free plate, need to learn what being a business looks like. (& that's for all businesses not just Black ones but still)

My usual go to sides are the yellow rice or the tostones. I'm happy to report that they get them real crispy and delicious. However when that said garlic sauce steams it up- a quick airfryer session fixes it back. Housed in a small storefront, they use good flavors to keep old and new clients coming on a regular basis. Be prepared to take your meal to go and enjoy. No bathrooms for patrons but its a tiny takeout spot so keep moving along. The food is definitely worthwhile and for reasonable prices. Check it out.

Before ordering my sashimi bento box entree, I wanted a sweet trip and this place has everything!! I got a chocolate matcha layer cake and it was marshmallow-y and soft. it wasn't too sweet so it didn't ruin my appetite for the sushi that both of us got. I have seen Ricardo Steakhouse numerous times and always wanted to try it. To my surprise, it was a great experience. I walked in and the hostess immediately greeted me with a friendly hello. I said I was meeting a friend and she sat me at a highball table in the bar area. The place was lively with 90's music and local customers. A neighborhood scene that was fun. The bar itself was tiny and it extended into the open kitchen grill area. As I waited for my classmate, a gentleman served a plate of grilled bread and dip to my table. I stated I had not ordered anything yet and he stated it was part of the service. Please see the picture below as the bread was absolutely divine. It was grilled and crunchy with a lovely tomato based dip. I was very pleased. Once my classmate arrived our waiter stopped by with menus and we ordered the happy hour margaritas. I had a regular on the rocks and I must say it was POTENT in a good way! My classmate had a frozen fruit margarita that looked refreshing. We ordered mussels and french fries to nosh on. The fries were served nice and hot with ketchup on the side. Although I did not have any mussels I tasted the wonderful broth they were cooked in. Chef's kiss to the flavor of the liquid. Our waiter was great! He was dressed to impress with a white coat and tie. He constantly checked in with us to make sure all of our needs were met. We did have another round of drinks after eating. I decided on the frozen margarita this time and it was a bit less potent than my previous drink. Nevertheless it was delicious. The bathroom was towards the back of the restaurant. I walked through the enclosed patio which was a nice and quieter area of the establishment. It even had a semi private alcove where a party of people were seated. I saw a birthday celebration. It was lovely. Bathroom was unisex. Separate stalls (one was out of order) and a tiny sink outside each stall. No obvious disasters were observed but they probably could have been a bit cleaner as you can see from the pictures. I definitely would patronize this establishment again. I was very impressed with the excellent service and food. All of the staff, especially our waiter, were very professional and added to a very pleasant experience. Thank you Ricardo Steakhouse for a lovely evening!
