For some reason Yelp said this lovely bed and breakfast is closed. This is untrue, it is most definitely OPEN!

The place it beautiful, the prices are…read moreinexpensive, the rooms are very comfortable (we stayed in the Garden Room), and the breakfast (which is made by Chris) is awesome. It is different every day. It appears very Victorian, but there is a hidden TV in one of the downstairs rooms, and there is free wi-fi. It is tricky to get to, but well worth the trip. If you are going to be anywhere near Woonsocket, this is the place to stay. Heck, if you are staying in Providence, I'd still drive here to stay. This was our second time here (we stayed for 4 days both times).

We stayed in the Garden Room, spacious and with a king size bed, very nicely decorated. On the problem side, the room was chilly and the only heating sources came from a window air conditioner/heater, which did nothing but blow luke war air into the cool room. We chose the alternative, a small electric fire place which, over a l-o-n-g period of time actually warmed the room to a comfortable level, while adding a romantic ambience to the charming room. We had a private bathroom, well-equipped and boasting a spacious walk-in tiled shower. The bed was perfectly comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast, the second phase ofany Bed & Breakfast experience, was okay, but not great. We had fresh fruit salad, warm corn bread, lots of delicious hot coffee, and a little tiny dry veggie frittata. Ho hum. To make matters worse, the server seemed to have nothing better to do than to hang over the back of one of the chairs and engage us in endless conversation abut her life. Not cool. Breakfast would have been improved with twice the food and none of the intrusive conversation. Overall, our stay was okay, but I think I would look elsewhere should I return to the area for an overnight stay.

But I'm here to talk about smells. They clean the floors with lemon-scented Pine Sol. The downstairs is all hardwood floors so it has a distinct lemon smell in the air. The room was lovely but they washed the blankets, sheets, pillowcases, and towels with a strong scented detergent. As a super smeller, this was really my only complaint. If I hadn't brought my own pillow, I would have had to leave. Luckily I was able to sleep with help from allergy meds and my personal pillow. The smell of the air outside was clean and beautiful. Fresh Connecticut air! If detergent smells don't bother you, this is a great place to stay. I suggest they consider switching to hypoallergenic (free &. clear) detergent for those of us very sensitive noses!

This is a B&B AND has the service of a 5 start hotel in NYC! Rooms are so clean, spacious and provide EVERYTHING you need. Beth, Priscilla & Mauricio are SO attentive, welcoming and amazing hosts. Breakfast is fresh and the decor is JUST AMAZING. I'm not afraid to admit it, coming from a big city I try to look for and want the best of the best, boy WAS THIS IT! I don't right reviews even if I'm happy with something, I ONLY write reviews if I'm blown away. We loved it so much we decided to stay an extra night. Look no further, Watson is the best of the best. My husband and I will surely be returning!

The house itself is a 300-year-old farmhouse that has been owned by only 5 families throughout its history. Most of the original structure remains today, giving the place an authentic rustic feel -- not kitchy, like so many other bed & breakfasts. The hostess is cheerful and charming, and more than happy to give you a tour of the grounds (including a tunnel in the basement that was part of the underground railroad!). For us, she made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies fresh upon arrival. We stayed in the Carriage House, which really is a bargain for the space. The two-story suite includes a fireplace, kitchenette, television, desk, couch, armchair, and small table with two chairs. This is in addition to an outdoor porch attached to the unit, and the beautiful upstairs bedroom (with air conditioning). Breakfast was delectable, made exactly to our preferences, and served on a screened-in porch overlooking the gardens. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! I'd definitely stay here again, and would absolutely recommend this to any couple looking for a quick getaway from Boston.

The house has wonderful character and charm and so much history. The fire was roaring when we arrived and the entire visit felt like a special getaway for us from work and the kids, even if it was only a few towns away. I would go just for breakfast if I could, homemade and delicious.
